Absolutely agree with Mickslick, I left flying for a while, ironically just weeks after getting a cougar HOTAS set. I got back in with FSX but missed not being able to blow stuff up. Black Shark is a huge challenge, and I also wondered if I'd reached my limit. However, I invested the last three days of my Christmas holidays on learning the basics, so I can now get by. I love the fact that it is going to take months, if not years to master. The Fallout 3s will come and go, but I can see Black Shark keeping me busy till Fighter Ops takes off... A bit thanks then to all the DCS team, again for making their new sim bloody a hard, and very bloody satisfying.

No you should be fine. I made the mistake of downloading on my email/browsing PC rather than my fast gaming PC. So I have experience of installing on another machine. So long as you have the install file you can download anywhere.

text book - nose-too-high problem! lower your nose below the horizon as you land. you stop VERY quick! :)

Zoomboy27 - try using the slow down feature, if you run LOMAC at the slowest setting you get more than enough time to reference the manual, the controls remain functional - and unlike with a full pause you can usually see the results of your actions.

I must confess that I don't see the point in getting the hardcopy. I prefer the "software dongle" over having the find the CD every time I want to play a game. I'll try and remember to back up the executable, along with the required patches, though I'm lucky in that I've three PCs linked together with plenty of storage space.

Amen to that! I think its a great shame that most of the posts to this forum are mostly customers complaining about little niggles. I want to echo your sentiments blaster454, this is one fantastic simulator that looks likely to remain the best modern air combat sim for at least another 12 months - probably longer. Keep up the great work guys - I can't wait to see what comes next.. великий работа! Lucasdigital
