  1. Link to DTAC Hires Trees with no grass textures for current tree models. This is the best I can do for now until I get some tools and assistance from ED. Link to DTAC Ground Textures INSTRUCTIONS : Back up the .zip files mentioned below before you do anything (if you have backed up once prior to initially modifying these files then this all that is required). Place each season texture in its proper .zip file. Located in the C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bazar\Terrain\vfstextures. When asked to replace and overwrite do so. 2. The solution was using the latest plugins, DCS World and Ducky's material settings. I was using BS2 and there was an issue between plugin export and game version (1.1.1.1). The patch will probably correct the error.
  3. Thank you all..It is working with DCS World
  4. :) That's where I am going next Mustang...
  5. You are using DCS World...I am using BS2 1.1.1.1 I can't get your model to load either... I wonder if I have to wait till the patch...?
  6. What version of Max are you running?
  7. Ok, now we're talking, Ducky what settings did you use?
  8. I wish it looked good, but there is a very noticeable contrast between tree faces that make the trees look awful IMHO. I want make some kick azz forests but there seems to be some glitches to work out...:)
  9. Here is a rear shot of the trees, notice the how dark they are... A side shot looks like half dark half light...this is not what the current trees are displaying.
  10. I call them shadows I guess... The back side of the trees are darker as well...
  11. here is the trees with "building_no shadow" material. See the dark halfs?
  12. It does not appear at all. With other materials I can get it to display, but the material makes them look flat and dark. I can't take a screenshot of a model that does not appear...I can load the wrong material and show you the model in game...
  13. In the modelviewer it displays completely correct with the "old_tree" setting with "alpha test" selected for opacity for export. No shadow.. In game the model simply does not appear in the spot that it should. See pic in model viewer - this is correct
  14. Yes , I tried "old_tree" from before, and just now with the newest plugins...it seems the model viewer can display it, while the game can not. Since the trees in DCS used to be .loms, I figure they have a batch convert script from .lom to .edm. I can get the trees in game, but the other selectable materials are not appropriate in any which way...
  15. There should be a forest_material in the selection box of the export plugin and their isn't. Not sure if this will change in the SDK
  16. This is the correct look. No dark panels. I cant get this material in game...
  17. Ok..now I see. I can see exactly like you can currently in the model viewer. The dark side of the trees is what I am trying to get rid of...the current trees do not have the darkness like this ... I can get them in game just like that but there is another materiel or setting that does not allow the "dark panel effect"... I am trying to find that setting or material. The "old tree" material does display correctly in the model viewer but the model will not show in game for some reason. Thanks again for you help.
  18. Thanks Ducky, I tried the files, the model still does not show in game..do you have a shot of it in game or did you view it in model viewer?
  19. Here is the file and texture.. Link
  20. I tried these settings and there is no change...I can send you the 3dmax file and if you can get it in game looking correct, and tell me how you did it, I will pay you ;)
  21. here you go...I can send you the max file if you want to try it..
  22. So the models show correct in the model viewer with the "old tree" settings but do not show in game at all...
