One thing we are thinking about for the future of the Black Sea Operations project is to expand the campaign online for a truly massively online campaign system. The system will be like a mix of LOMAC league and CAW except it will have advanced logging features and a points system like the IL-2 online wars. Keep your eyes peeled. T-Bone

I like the idea, but I still think there needs to be a better system of incentive for online cooperation. The system that is employed by Virtual Online War in IL-2 for instance is incredible. They have a point system that ranks you against other pilots based on more than just a kill count. Squadrons of pilots can register or you can sign up as a mercenary for any country. In effect if you combined the features of CAW with LOMAC-League you'd get a great online system that would really bring the LOMAC online community to life. T-Bone

Suggestion - Black Sea Ops-type pack for Su33?
T-Bone replied to britgliderpilot's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
D-scythe is testing the 1.12 beta and yes, the missions are already screwed up. They will have to be redone as soon as the patch is released. Guess what happens when 1.2 comes out? *sigh* This is the reason it has taken us so long. T-Bone -
Suggestion - Black Sea Ops-type pack for Su33?
T-Bone replied to britgliderpilot's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Britgliderpilot and MBot have just joined the Black Sea Operations team to work on campaigns for the Russian side. Currently we are restructuring everything. In addition to the F-15 campaign we are now planning on doing Su-25 and Su-33 campaigns to parallel the story from the other side of the war. We may also be downsizing the Black Sea Operations F-15C campaign from 100 missions to 60 missions because we do not want to redo ~100 missions after the next few patches and in addition we want to shift attention to provide the campaign experience with other planes as well. Everytime a new patch comes out we have to fix the old missions. For example when 1.11 came out, some of the missions did not even work anymore so we had to rebuild them all. Plans are being laid out to create a sequel campaign to the Black Sea War campaign so you can expect to end up with more F-15 missions than just 60. However for the time being, the plan is to expand the campaign experience outside of just one player and nation's aircraft in order to tell the whole story of the war. The Su-33 campaign Britgliderpilot is working on should have around ~60 exciting missions. T-Bone -

Suggestion - Black Sea Ops-type pack for Su33?
T-Bone replied to britgliderpilot's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
The plan is to use the same campaign storyline and expand it to allow the player to witness the story through the eyes of various pilots from other nations. Some ideas we've tossed around: 1- Russian Su-33 campaign in 2007 Operation Anatolian Hawk which will be a prequel leading up to the current F-15 campaign 2- Ukrainian Su-27 campaign to parallel F-15 campaign 3- USAF A-10 campaign 4- Georgian Su-25T campaign T-Bone -
Black Sea Operations - SimHQ Preview
T-Bone replied to D-Scythe's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
If we do a Sukhoi campaign it will parallel the campaign for the F-15. The story will be the same, but it will be experienced through the eyes of say a Ukrainian fighter pilot. T-Bone -

There may be a Su-27 or Su-33 campaign the parallel the series and even a a prequel campaign to the F-15 campaign featuring the Russian side. We are recruiting mission makers all the time. T-Bone -
We have been thinking about doing a Su-33 or Su-27 campaign to parallel the F-15 campaign if all goes well. T-Bone

I still say F-16C is the best looking plane. If the F-16 was a woman, I'd marry her. T-Bone

Black Sea Ops will be updated to run with the current patch when it is released. At this moment it is 1.11, but it will be 1.12 compatable and 1.2 hopefully. T-Bone

D-Scythe, you realize I'm advertising your skin here? :-P T-Bone

Yeah the 9800 Pro is AGP. I am actually considering upgrading to an X800 Pro once it gets down to $200. I'm a big fan of ATI cards. The 128 9800 Pro card I have right now is around $120, and that is a great deal for a mid-range card. T-Bone

I think for looks, F-16 is the best looking a/c. T-Bone

I'm just running an old Radeon 9800 Pro. It must be the skin ;) T-Bone

Yeah can you help me update my missions? T-Bone

Hey guys, I recently discovered that if you try to fly missions designed for 1.1 in 1.11, AWACS will not locate enemy aircraft unless you manually change their flightpath in the mission editor. I had to make minor course adjustments for the aircraft to reappear. I hope this helps. T-Bone

New Movie: Black Sea Operations intro sequence
T-Bone replied to Glowing_Amraam's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
The intro for the film will not be like this at all. The information used was dated and the colors are too dark. In addition there will be a better soundtrack used. We apologize for disappointing any of you. I already spoke to Glowing_AMRAAM. The work will be drastically improved upon. Thanks for the constructive criticism. -
