The template with 16 512x512 pieces?
These results look decent to me, and dare I say better than the stock terrain IMHO, but hey if you've got something even better go ahead and upload it :)
OK I did some more edits on the terrain texture and made it less repetitive looking and more detailed. I also edited the color some more so that vegetation looks less tropical and more temperate. It is now 4x the resolution of the default LOMAC FC terrain noise file.
I'm now completely satisfied with the melding of the high resolution terrain noise and the overhead satellite terrain imagery and I'll be moving on and modelling the rest of the terrain on the map now. I'm happy with the way the land looks at both low and high altitude.
Enjoy the screenies :)
Yep China will play a huge role in this area.
Also, there is potential for North Korea, South Korea, and also Japan to get involved in addition to just NATO, China, and Russia.
Testing a new higher resolution terrain texture for a better high to low altitude transition and added ground level detail for a better sense of speed at low altitude for Su-25, A-10, and Blackshark pilots:
First ingame shots of an F-15 and Su-27 over the lush hills of Northeastern China.
BTW I need to change the terrain closeup texture (its from nevada so the color is off)
Some shots of my new scenery for DCS and LOMAC:FC 2.0.
Game engine shots coming soon.
This is the rough coverage area (about 500km x 500km).
Many possible scenarios include:
-China invades Russia
-NATO vs China and Russia after occupying North Korea (the sequel to Falcon 4.0 )
-North Korea vs United Nations Russia and China and NATO combined force
-Chinese and Russian joint air force training exercises

You can tell the online flying community has grown over the last few years. Back in 2005-2006 only about 10-15 people would be in Hyperlobby at any given time. Nowadays it is around 60 people.
