  8. Hey IronMike I just finished Mission 3 (supercarrier version) and i am absolutely hooked. You guys have really created something amazing here. It really makes me feel like I am right there. I also started controlling Jester with Vaicom AIRIO and well it just elevated your mind blowing module and campaign to the next level. I hope you will create another campaign somewhere down the road. I have not seriously touched the Hornet in months and i wont for the forseeable future. Thank you Heatblur Now all i need is a real RIO....
  9. Yes I get the same. I get it with Friendly Tgts as well as Hostiles. Does this mean the Aircraft is jamming? The thing is I am still able lock it up or get Alt/Speed Info if I slew the TDC over the cross. I searched high and low for an explanation of the symbology.
  10. Thanks for all your replies. I tried creating a fresh mission but sadly no joy. I just finished building my new pc and install OB on it and loaded the .miz adding sound works again. Problem solved
  11. Hi Guys I wanted to see if anyone else was having this weird issue. I started creating a new mission and noticed that I was unable to add sounds to my triggers. I try to click on the open button but sadly the file explorer popup nolonger appears. I have even tried with a fresh mission....no luck. Does anyone have any ideas appart from reinstalling? cheers Oli
  12. Hey thanks...I am still trying to use the inbuilt available functions, Flags and Triggers. The whole script thing is still a little bit like black magic. I would not even be sure how to apply this. I will have to look into this...
  13. So the reaction to threat did not really work. I finally went with the following solution. Set a moving trigger and as soon as I get inside that trigger it sets off a flag. Once that Flag is plus 60 Seconds I have the AI change its ROE, Pop Flares, Send me a knock it off on guard and then make it switch Waypoint to Landing. I also set the AI to only use Guns and then made his Ammo count 0. So what you get is a merge, nice 60 Second Furball but does not shoot you, popping Flares and a Knock it Off Message. Pretty happy with that workaround Cant wait to see my buddy react to this...he will be shitting his pants for sure

  15. Hi Guys I am starting to build more complex missions for a buddy and myself. I would like to create the following scenario. 2 Player controlled FA18 are escorting a C2A Greyhound back to the Carrier. Enroute Neutral AI (Russians) are trying to intercept and harrass the Greyhound. Our task would be to intercept the Bogeys and force them to RTB after a brief non hostile BFM session. Now I would like to somehow have the AI Disengage and RTB once we lock them up and get within 1 or 2 Miles of them. Any ideas how best to achieve this scenario in a relatively realistic non imersion breaking way? any tips and hints appreciated Rampart
  16. Hi Guys I am working on a scenario where we have 2 Hornets on Alert 5 that get scrambled to intercept a snooping Tu-95. This Bear is neutral and will RTB once intercepted and one of the Hornets closes to more than 200 Meters. Now the challenge is I want AWACS to call out the Neutral Contact so we can Intercept it. Is this even possible in DCS? Can AWACS call out neutral Targets or will I have to work with Triggers that give the Player pre recorded Radio Transmissions at Certain Stages of the Bears flight.   17. Hey first off thanks for testing this for me and your feedback. What you say makes total sense. If I am listening to a broadcast and try and reply as he is transmitting then I am stepping on him. The reason I am confused is because in previous builds I had the comms chatter playing in the background. I was still able to communicate with the ship and or awacs while this chatter was going on. I guess it was a bug that has now been fixed. I guess I will have to figure out another way of having random radio traffic in the background while flying. cheers for your help

  20. Hi all, I am playing recorded carrier comms on the Carrier ATC frequency via the Radio Transmission Trigger. But it seems that this now interferes or breaks Communication with the carrier. I tried the same with AWACS and can confirm that the same happens. When flying the F14 I am unable to contact ATC at all and when I fly the FA18 it sometimes works and sometimes does not.:doh: Super buggy and inconsistent. As soon as I delete the Trigger or change Radio Transmission frequency I can request picture from AWACS and or request landing permission from ATC. Works with F14 and with FA18. Would be interested to know if anyone can reproduce this? I am running open beta V2.5.6.52437 Miz file has been upload for anyone to test <------------ Dropbox download here Carrier on 131.5 AM and AWACS on 252 AM cheers Oli
  21. Hi Guys...I seem to be getting the error " Shader "model/fake_spot_lights2.fx" failed to compile - hresults: Error_PATH_NOT_FOUND" when placing the Mobile WORKING IFOLS :( Any ideas on a workaround? Oh I am running dcs Stable version....not beta cheers
