I'm afraid i can't help you but I have a similar problem with control After setting up my x45 in the control section, when I went back to training or learner missions, I had no joystick or keyboard or mouse actions. In the cockpit, I couldn't move the mouse to give me view of switches etc, and no space bar key to continue the lesson. I have to "ctrl alt del" to get out of the sim !!! I'm sure it's something to do with the setup of the x45, any idears??? cheers David

Saitek x45 Issues... Newbie here...
wrinkleydms replied to BIGLDH's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hi, I had a similar problem, due to rudder setting itself wrong, check tail view on ground, or view rudder pedals in cockpit. -
Hi, I had the same problem, what I did was take it apart, and use emery paper on the shaft where the slider moves. I then bought some graphite grease, and applied it to the slimmed down area, much better on small movements now. You might like to reduce the spring strength a little by clamping a plastic tie around a couple of the top spring coils, if you are happy with this then you can consider shortening the spring slowly. I can't even get my x45 to operate since .8 upgrade, it worked before but will not be recognised by the slim, I also had a problem with the rudder and joystick, only giving 50% movement, so am waiting to see if any later upgraded improve the situation , or do I have to go for the 'proper controls'! It may be due to me using XP windows. cheers David

x45 rudder problems Hi Guys, just found out why I was rolling left, and unable to steer on takeoff! My rudder shows left from rear view before take off, and I cannot control the movement accurately. The test in windows xp control panel works ok, tried various dead zones etc. I have just found the set up in the Warthog, -works fine on stick, but when setting up the rudder on the throttle, it shows full left, or full right on moving the rudder, nothing I can adjust in the set up changes what it does. Any ideas anyone? I originally noticed this when first trying the instrument training, I was supposed to be on auto pilot, but some times it rolled left, and I crashed, it hadn't been a problem for the start up training(understandably).

How do you launch in administrator mode? xppro, q6600, 2.4gh -
wow! only 88 pages of info. Must have taken someone ages to do that, never mind research it. As a newcomer to the A10, how would this be applied, can we apply it to the warhog? I could not tell at present as don't know enough about navigation yet.

x45 hotas modifiers I can only use a modifier once, when setting up my x45. I wanted to use the 'pinky' button with a number of other top hat functions, is this normal. I know could use the keyboard as a modifier, but cannot keep both hands on sticks if I do that.:(

Not too bad at present, but looking at the problems and 'how to's', it is proving difficult to follow. Just concerned about whether I can download it! cheers:( -

Manual update So was the manual updated just prior to release? I have an earlier download of the manual, but have not bought the sim yet, -not sure if I can download it, and have to wait for the disk. In the meantime i'm trying to learn as much as I can about this incredible sim.:) -
2500k motherboards make sure it's not the one with the 3gt Sata problem, new boards are expected soon.
-
Don't forget the motherboard problem with Sandy bridge chips!! A problem with P and H Sata 3 connections. Check online for latest. Intel have a huge problem, not likely to be sorted until April.

thankd guys , looks like not a problem!

Hi Guys, just admiring the Warthog. Will buy it soon, but don't fancy trying to download on bt line ! I have a Saitec x45, which I am hoping to use on the sim. I seem to have lots of buttons etc, to get most controls on. However with only one joystick, how do I control 2 engines? cheers David
