  1. Hi folks, Bought a Palit 560Ti with 2GB RAM. Seemed like the texture sizes in Warthog were pretty big and my Asus board only has one video slot so no dual cards for me. Question: Anyone out there with a 560Ti? Rest of my system specs are in my sig. I seem to get an occasional pause with video settings all on max including 1024 every frame textures, 16x AA, TSAA on, etc.
  2. Thanks all. Ordered a 560Ti.
  3. I am just getting going on Warthog (learning to fly, building pit, etc.). I am wondering if I will need to upgrade my video card. It is the only really old kit in my hardware. ASUS M4A77D AMD Phenon II X3 720 Black Edition four cores unlocked ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 64 Pro G Skill 4 x 4GB DDR2 1066 ASUS EN8800GTS/HTDP/640M GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB Video Card Does A-10C require a lot of video horsepower on max settings? Is there any increase in hardware requires in multiplayer vs. single? I know in Falcon, because of the peer to peer nature of the online campaign, that one really needed a maxed out PC. Froggie
  4. Thanks for the feedback and links. I read the SimHQ article. For me the TARGET programming language will make the difference. So now I am off on the hunt for a TM stick for something less than list price. Any suggestions where to buy are welcomed and appreciated. I noted in the article that the Cougars have been discontinued. That was a bit of a surprise but hey I got three and matching Cub Pilot and Uber kits for each. Froggie
  5. Need to purchase one of the above A-10 HOTAS. I have looked through the forum for a good comparason but couldn't find one. Both are metal. I have a Cougar with Hall sensors, Cubby mode so I know about Thrustmaster quality. The two HOTAS seem to be slightly different in their configuration. Neither seems to be an exact match for the A-10C. Signifcant price difference aside, I am seeking opinions, not trying to start a flame war. Thanks, Froggie
  6. After burning out on flight sims I have recontracted the sim bug. I discovered BS, FC2, and A-10. The set-up has been entertaining but I am generally updated to the current version and I am working on control/cockpit setup. I found all the ModMan stuff and so have training reinstalled for BS 1.0.2. I have a TrackIR4. I loaded the 5.1 beta 3 software since I am running W7 Ultimate 64bit. I works...most of the time. Every few minutes it just wacks out and I find myself looking at the floor or ceiling. I am a rusty pilot to say the least, so 10 seconds off not getting any visual feedback always results in a crash. Any ideas what is going on? I am just using the default TIR4 config for BS. I don't have an A-10 HOTAS yet so just working on BS for now.
