  1. PeterP, Tried step1 "1: Remove the softthconfig and let SoftTH create a default one. Please check the Softth readme for instruction. Than edit the options.lua to the height and width that the default softTh config wants to use. Look it up in the SoftThconfig in the bin folder: Quote: [main] renderResolution=XXXX x XXXX < the second line = Width x Height Use fullscreen and the "1screen" configuration in the options menu. Start a mission from the missioneditor and see if softth kicks in. If softth works please post the working softthconfig and your options.lua to let me have a look on it. (Than I can compose a working one with right aspect and bezel management...) If this doesn't work: Redo these steps but first plug out the USB-monitor to see if he is causing this faulty behaviour." SoftTH created a default. Resolution was shown as 2520x2280 w/3 heads. options.lua config.SoftTHconfig.txt Went into options. Changed width to 2520, height to 2280. Started BS. Launched a training mission. BS opened a black box on the main screen but I didn't get into the sim. It was odd. If I alt-tabbed out of the sim it was like it closed a window on all three screens but nothing would ever come up. Task manager said BS was running fine. I ran the web based config tool. No numbers appeared. Does BS have to be running?
  2. Hmmm, my lua is messed up. BS must be overwriting. I will check. Busy week. It may be weekend before I can really devote attention to your directions. Thank you for helping!! Froggie
  3. I will see what I can chase down for you. What format do you need the drawings in? AutoCAD?
  4. PeterP, I have tried all three variants now with the same result. BS crashes when trying to load the sim. I have all three monitor-setups available from the dropdown menu. I have your replacement .dll in place. The .dll looks identical in each of the variant packages to me. I am dutifully renaming and using the one associated with the monitorsetup.lua. If they are identical then I will stop doing that. I wanted to make sure nothing else had gone wrong so I selected my monitorsetup file (Froglips2+1monitors.lua) and 1920x1200 res. Everything started up just fine. This was using your .dll! Impressive that it is compatible with plain Jane monitor configs too!
  5. OK. Will ust do this and remove attempt a adding res to drop down list:) Tried it again. Still crashing BS. Moving on to variant 2.
  6. Hmmm, so I reopened options.lua. BS had reset the resolution to 1920 x 1200. I closed BS. Reopened Notepad++ and reset to 2520 x 2410. I also changed the resolution line to 2520x2410. Restarted BS. Looked at options page. Resolution line is blank. Resolution dropdown does not show a 2520x2410 option (as I had hoped it would). Didn't save options, ust canceled out. Tried to launch training mission. BS crashes out of sim. I do see the SoftTH logo on screen 2 briefly when the sim tries to launch. Screen 3 also goes to black.
  7. PeterP, Tried Variant 1. I have edited the options.lua with Notepad++ for width and height. I copied SoftTH Variant 1 files via KA-50 root directory and they appear to have landed in the correct sub-directories. The x86 version of the .dll is loaded. I started up Black Shark, went to Options, selected SoftTH Variant 1: Monitor 1 and 2 Center - Monitor 3 ABRIS. I was not able to change my resolution from 1920 x 1200. In fact, unlike Warthog, I have never been able to enter a resolution manually, only select from a dropdown list. I launched a training flight. My cockpit resolution on screen one is clearly wrong. It is like I have moved back in the cockpit several feet. Nothing is readable but I can see virtually the whole cockpit. I will try Variant 2. Froggie
  8. Thanks PeterP! I will work on tonight and report back!
  9. It looks to me like you have some odd stuff in multiMonitorSetup. Identical monitors but one is 640x480 resolution? different aspect ratios of 1.33 and 1.77?? ["multiMonitorSetup"] = "shkval+camera", ["color"] = "32", ["heatBlr"] = 1, ["scenes"] = "high", ["water"] = 2, ["fullScreen"] = false, ["visibRange"] = "High", ["aspect"] = 1.77, ["textures"] = 2, ["shadows"] = 3, ["display_mode"] = { ["avi"] = { ["bpp"] = 32, ["resolution"] = "640x480", ["full_screen"] = false, ["aspect"] = 1.333333333, ["height"] = 480, ["width"] = 1920, }, -- end of ["avi"] }, -- end of ["display_mode"] ["effects"] = 3, ["lights"] = 2, ["haze"] = 1, ["terrPrld"] = "20", ["height"] = 1080, ["resolution"] = "1920x1080", ["civTraffic"] = 0, ["width"] = 1920, }, -- end of ["graphics"]
  10. Triple monitor with ABRIS on 9" Doublesight USB PeterP, I am trying to get a multi-monitor setup going. I don't know if you or your nifty program can help. My monitor setup is a 26" (1920 x 1200) main screen, a 21.5" touchscreen (1920 x 1080 Helios), and a 9" Doublesight USB screen (600 x 1024 ABRIS). My screen resolution screenshot: I am running Windows Ultimate x64, DCS: BS 1.02 Can you point me to the options lua file? Monitor lua Froglips2+1monitors.lua I am trying to get the main BS screen on the 26" monitor, the Helios display on the 21.5" touchscreen, and the ABRIS mapped to the 9" screen. As you can see from my sig, I have a single video card but plenty of horsepower in the system. I was running a two screen system successfully with Helios on the bottom but adding the little moniotr seems to have really porked the pooch. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Setup pre the addition of the Doublesight is shown below. The Doublesight is ust to the right of the lower screen, in the new set-up, with its upper left corner aligned with the Helios screen's upper right corner. Froggie
  11. Pitbldr, Can you list panels and prices in one message or add an attachment? Please let us know if you are going to take PanelBuilder's suggestions or allow some choice on pre-assembly. I will probably just take one full set of A-10C panels. Any chance of you doing a KA-50 panel set? Thanks.
  12. Step one complete. Collective control panel installed and functional. I still have to add the rotor brake/altitude lever. Cyclic is next project. Panels come last since the XKeys Pro and Helios set-up give me a keyboard free flying experience.

  13. Triggerhappy, I have just spent a not inconsiderable bit of time reading this entire thread. Wow, fabulous pit. Early on in the thread, about Dec 2008, you reference an MSN site where your drawings are stored but I could never find the reference to the site. Do you still have panel drawings? I note you started the project in 2007. Please don't tell me wife you are still working on it:) I have just started on the cyclic and collective. I will do the overhead panels next. Thanks for any help you can provide.
  14. CAT, You should post over on SCSimulations. FLIM is moderator there. Lots of pit builders. Also try Viperpit.org
  15. Sweet! Did you build your seat yourself? Looks like a nice cyclic. Collective is halfway through very tedious wiring process. I am using an Xkeys matrix board. Looks like you have something different in your seat. I will try to get more pictures up tonight.
  16. Are u still taking orders? Price for full kit (less electronics)? Second, I am building a Black Shark pit. Could you help me understand what I need to do to get some pieces designed for that pit? I saw Flim's reference to a 'local laser shop'. Nothing listed like that in the phone book:) Thanks
  17. BaD CrC, Do you have panel drawings that you used as a template? I got nothing:( Two, go over to the Helios web site to see my cyclic and collective set-up. It isn't fancy but I am trying to match the KA-50, again without any scale drawings:(
  18. Anyone have panel drawings for the KA-50 panels? Trying to estimate size a layout from screen shots of photos really sucks. I am only planning to do this once so doing it right seems best:)
  19. CAT, I am using the XKeys Matrix 128 boards, two of them. I think your break out board works for these. "Price is $38 for the brakeout board and $8 for a connector cable." Assuming I got it right, I will take two boards with connector cables. Let me know how and when to pay. Figure shipping to 46077 zip code. Froggie
  20. I really think that to have an immersive rotorhead experience, even more important than buttons and switches, you need to get a cyclic and collective set-up. The Saitek HOTAS is a great stick but doesn't fly like a cyclic does at all.
  21. Anyone ever opened one of these up? Would love to discuss before I open mine and loose some small important part. Froggie
  22. I want to go into my Cyborg USB and disconnect the switches on the base to move them up to the controller handle area. I recently opened up a Thrustmaster stick (low end) and all the buttons were mounted on a circuit board. I tried to disassemble but just a no go. Just thought I would ask if anyone had ever seen the inside of a Cyborg stick. If the buttons are on a circuit board then I won't bother trying. to open it.
  23. I reloaded BS onto a SSHD, trying to get away from pauses. I reconfigured my cyclic as it was before the reload. Stupid me. I got lazy and overwrote the default blackshark.lua instead of creating a new profile. As luck would have it something got borked. Now BS won't start. Says I have a nil value in my lua:( Any suggestions other than a fresh reload?
  24. I use Copy Cat Control cyclic and collective. These are realistic sizes. The Black Hawk is still very twitchy with my set-up. It is hard to imagine that a combat pilot banging around in their seat could hold steady. I have my set-up tweaked to flatten the response curve around the center.
