  1. Android updates are comin! Just pushed a few to fix some bugs and major performance increase in the live displays. Working on a pretty big change for an upcoming update, too!
  2. Can you open a ticket by going to https://bit-shift.com/icontroldcs/index.html and clicking Support in the bottom left or sending an email to support@bit-shift.com Sounds like Helios is probably taking over the file. I'll have you collect some debug info for me in the ticket.
  3. Should work with Helios I think unless it takes control over export.lua, which wouldn't be good. What does the export.lua look like when it doesn't work?
  4. Just released an update to the android app that should bring the live MFCD and CDU performance up to par with the iOS app. This will likely be a GIGANTIC performance increase for just about everyone. Note that this will also likely dramatically increase the WiFi usage from where it was before. I am measuring in the neighborhood of 15Mbps now, so make sure you've got a strong WiFi connection! Got more cool stuff cooking for the Android app that may set it apart from the iOS app a bit in a pretty awesome and unique way but that's a ways out and I felt this was too big to hold until then. Happy flying!
  5. FYI, an update went out yesterday that adds a UFC only view. Enjoy!
  6. Currently, no but it's something that will probably be added in the next update though I can't give any time frame on when that's coming.
  7. Yeah, I would like to do other aircraft at some point but this is a side project for me and I really just don't have enough time these days for much other than supporting what's there and occasionally adding some new things (started working a bit on the Android app again. Might see some updates in a few months...) So for now, the only aircraft supported is the A-10 and it should work with all versions of DCS World!
  8. Make sure you don't have a firewall on your PC blocking the connection. It uses TCP Port 22268. Also make sure your iPad is connected to the same network via WiFi that your PC is on. If that doesn't help, feel free to open a support ticket by going to https://bit-shift.com/icontroldcs/index.html and clicking Support in the lower left corner and I'll try to get ya sorted out!
  9. Alright, there's a new version of the server up that allows you to change the Save Game directory. This should let it work with alpha and beta releases. Just make sure to update both the install directory and Save Game directory now if you're switching between alpha/beta/stable!
  10. I will look into officially adding pre-release support this weekend. I have a proof of concept running locally, but it will cause major issues with uninstalling and cleaning up after itself if I release it this way. Since this is a common request, I'll do my best to find a good way to support it. Stay tuned.
  11. Good catch, I've updated the store description. Thanks!
  12. Certainly interesting ideas! I've specifically avoided embedding game assets in my application to avoid copyright issues. Does anyone know if the map data is available via scripting?
  13. 1.5.x should work now that it's out of beta. If you upgraded from a previous version you might need to click "Force Update" in the server app to re-inject the script hooks for everything to work properly! 2.0 will be supported when it's no longer alpha/beta. At some point in the future I may consider trying to support alpha and beta releases in the server but at this point they're not supported.
  14. Ha. Welcome to the club.
  15. There's a bug in A-10 VC Free with newer versions of iOS that won't allow inputting of the PC IP address. It has been addressed in iControl DCS, but A-10 VC Free hasn't been updated to resolve it. I believe you already did, but if not, feel free to open a support ticket at http://bit-shift.com/icontroldcs/index.html and clicking on the support link in the bottom left of the page. I'll do my best to get ya sorted out there!
  16. Assuming nothing changes that makes it not possible, yep, updates will be supported as they're released as final versions (not alpha/beta). If something breaks when a final version is released I'll update ASAP.
  17. DCS Beta releases are not supported because they use different directories than the production release and are moving targets.
  18. Do you have the most recent version installed? There was a bug with the CDU where it wasn't very tolerant to brief wifi drops and such. That should be fixed in the current version which was released just a couple weeks ago. If that doesn't solve the issue, open a support ticket by clicking the support tab on the left side of http://bit-shift.com/icontroldcs/index.html and we'll see what we can do to work through it!
  19. Yes, that is correct. It is explicitly stated under the System Requirements in the App Store description. The sim will run in borderless windowed mode. For all intents and purposes, this will look the same to you as running full screen, however the server will now be able to grab the exported displays. That's not currently possible in exclusive full screen mode. This is a limitation of the sim and there's nothing I can do about it unfortunately. If you could point me in a direction of a free app that doesn't require running in windowed mode to capture the exported MFCD or CDU I'd love to take a look at it, I'd love for it to not be a requirement! As for the problems with WiFi, you can contact support by clicking the Support tab on the left side of http://bit-shift.com/icontroldcs/index.html. however this sounds like a problem with your networking hardware and there's probably not much I can help with. Neither the server or tablet app modify network settings and uses the same networking protocol as the one you're using to post here.
  20. You can download the server from http://bit-shift.com/a10vcserver/index.html and follow the video at http://bit-shift.com/a10vcserver/index.html#help showing how to set it up.
  21. Fix is live, should work again for everyone that was having problems. Sorry about that!
  22. Certainly is interesting. I'll take a look! Thanks for the heads up.
  23. So it seems a problem has slipped through the cracks that will affect everyone with a 64-bit device. A fix is in the works as fast as possible. It should be a pretty easy fix, then I need to get it to beta users to make sure it works for them and then off to Apple for review. The last Apple review took a week, so expect a fix showing up within a week and a couple days. You will want to avoid updating if you have an iPad Air or later (Anything that uses the A7 or later SoC) So sorry this made it out there. I don't have a 64-bit device to test with and I didn't realize the simulator I was testing with was apparently running in 32-bit mode!
  24. There have been a couple reports of iControl DCS not working after updating to iOS 8.2 I'll be looking into it. For the time being, if you don't use your iPad for anything other than sim stuff, I'd suggest holding off on updating until I can verify what's causing the problems! If you use it for other stuff, definitely update. Security patches are always more important :)
  25. I looked into doing it once and there were some limitations with WinRT apps. I may look into it again when the Android app is up to snuff and Win 10 is out. I'd love for an excuse to buy a Surface Pro! :)
