  1. I compared a working and non-working copy of the folder Saved Games\DCS, and this is what I found out: If you copy the file DCS\MissionEditor\gdoptions.v2.lua from a working directory to the one not working, the problem stops. Seems like DCS forgot to update this file. How to report it to them?
  2. I don't know if this is relevant for anyone (or just me), or it is already stated elsewhere, but I noticed a significant rise in FPS in DCS World when shifting away from ABRIS NAV page. The other ABRIS pages works fine, but the NACV page seems to be requiring alot of extra CPU/GPU power. For some odd reason.
  3. I simply can't figure out how you guys get so good framerates. At the settings suggested by Dav IRL I'm running 25-30 frames pr. second in Black Shark 2 (updated from disc version of BS1). My graphics.lua is set to 120 maxfps (I've also tried 0 and -1). Am I completely missing something or is my computer just to slow? I've noticed that my gpu and CPU is never above 80 percent usage. I've even tried to overclock my CPU to 3,2 MHz, but with no changes. Rig: NVidia Geforce GTX 660 CPU: Intel 9450 (Quad) 2,66 GHz Ram: 8 gigabytes Harddisk: 120 gb Samsung 840.
  4. Thank you for the great profile! The Engine RPM isn't appearing in the Axis Assign. What to do?
  5. thanks for the link Terrorvogel. I ended up purchasing a x52 Pro instead. But it's still an interesting project. :)
  6. The following commands are concerning the canopy: {pressed = iCommandPlane_Env_CanopyDefog_Dec, name = "Canopy Defog Decrease", category = "Environment System Panel"}, {pressed = iCommandPlane_Env_CanopyDefog_Inc, name = "Canopy Defog Increase", category = "Environment System Panel"}, {down = iCommandCanopyJettison, name = "Canopy jettison lever", category = "Systems"}, {down = iCommandCanopyJettisonUnlockButton, name = "Canopy jettison lever unlock button", category = "Systems"}, {down = iCommandCanopyActuatorDisengage, name = "Internal canopy actuator disengage lever", category = "Systems"}, {combos = {{key = "C", reformers = {"LCtrl", }}, }, down = iCommandPlaneFonar, name = "Canopy Open/Close", category = "Systems"} Clearly, the last one is the one used to close the canopy. But it doesn't represent the command corresponding to the mouse click-and-hold function used to close and open the canopy in the game. It is then impossible to make a canopy switch in real life representing the function (for example a (on) off (on) switch), as the act of pressing the close canopy button isn't represented in the lua file.
  7. Okay. My plan was to use a on-off-on switch. One way opening the canopy, the other closing it, but that isn't possible?
  8. Thank you Krebs20! Your solution is working just fine. I'm programming a custom build console right now. Does anybody know the command for closing the canopy? There is the command iCommandPlaneFonar. This command either closes or opens the canopy with one click. But when I'm clicking the button with the mouse in game, the canopy closes or opens until I release the button again. Anyone knows the command for that?
  9. Thanks for the font Avilator! I've now complete the setup for my custom console: I'm still not quite sure how to build the console, but tomorrow I'll look at some solutions and hopefully try to stick it all together.
  10. Hi Deadman Thanks alot for your quick reply. One solution could be to use multi directional navigation buttons (like thoose). However, this complicates the installation because i needs to be placed on a plate. I'm considering buying a used Saitek X52 stick, just to get thing going. But it'll have to wait until more money is on my account. :)
  11. Hi again I'm sorry if this subject has already been covered, I've searched the forum, but can't find an answer to this question: Is it possible to build switches like the CMS and TMS with simple electronic switches? Like a four way on-off switch or something like that? I can't afford a full blown HOTAS controller, and I'm wondering if I can create a "HOTAS in a box" consisting of the 11 multi way switches found on the A10c-HOTAS.
  12. Hi Swaty Thank you for your quick reply. I've now created the descriptions for my switches. It still needs alignment: I checked out your link and might try to build the box. But I still can't figure out why platic cases are so expensive! :) Reatorones solution looks great, but I think it may be to difficult for me to get the required materials. I'll think about a solution. Maybe I'll just use TigerSharks normal paper solution and a wooded box... By the way, as Soul_Assassin writes else where in the forum, the font used on the A-10C panels is MS 33558.
  13. Hi all I've been terrible inspired by TigerSharks tutorials on building a cockpit console for A-10c consisting of the most used switches for engine startup. I've planned a console which requires about 28x20 centimers of space. Now for the questions: 1) I've been searching for hours for ABS cases, but most of them is either very expensive or too small to fit my needs. Is it possible to buy cases in the EU in that size, and for a reasonable price? Links very much appreciated! 2) Or would you suggest me to use another solution and/or build my own box (if that's the case, how?)? 3) How do you make your description of the switches (paper, engravement?). I'm aiming at the cheap solution and going for a paper, but is there a guide for this work (software, fonts etc.) Looking forward to get on building. :) Thanks in advance!
  14. Really like the market app! Thanks alot for your work! :)
  15. Hey HungaroJET! Thanks for your initiative! I've tried your work around now (running the 32 bit-application on Windows 7 64 bit) on a fresh installation of the released game (english version). Unfortunately I get the following error message when launching the altered short cut: Any suggestions to where I failed following your steps?
