I currently own an English copy of the A-10C warthog and am using it in DCS world. I am Russian literate so I am thinking of buying the Russian version of the KA-50 - will I have issues running the Russian version of KA-50 while having the English version of the A-10C in DCS World? - Thanks

The "slide" is what is called a "side-step" - it's a type of approach where if you for example want to do a side-step to the right, you would bank right, but do a left rudder turn - doing this basically keeps your aircraft lined up in the exactly same direction, but let's you move 'up a line' (like on a road) to align with the runway itself :) As for the general use of the rudders on the A-10C, they doesn't work like on any other aircraft. Minor use of the rudders on the A-10C will make you do a barrel roll in no time (unlike in a general aviation aircraft, or commercial jet, where it is quite crucial to use them).

Nice idea about the X axis EtherealN! That would be easier, and perhaps, even more accurate, as you have said yourself.

I am thinking about getting the Thrustmaster Warthog joystick system, however I am not going to be able to get rudder pedals at this time. The question I have is, will I be able to have the Thrustmaster setup work correctly while an extra joystick is connected - just so I can use the twist there for the rudder control. Will I have conflict issues, do you think? I mean, in terms of the elevator and aileron axis controls, will the axis on the warthog be named differently on the list, compared to other joysticks?

The frequencies have always been good. I will check the mic forward switch. As for the pre-contact stuff - I can't get past the initial contact phase, before pre-contact

When I first loaded up the mission, I didn't change anything in the cockpit, and he said that he was on station. However, when I attempted to contact him, there was no reply. Which mic switch should I be using? I managed to get round this problem by changing the radio comms from realistic to simplified, however I would rather fly the thing as it would be done in real life. What am I doing wrong? Oh and btw, this issue has persisted after I did a clean reinstall of DCS - at least my simulator performance has increased :)

Realistic. I have done a clean reinstall of DCS, which has improved my game performance, but did not solve the issue I have been having with contacting the FAC/Tanker/AWACS. I got the comms to work by changing the simulator options to simplified radio communication. Can someone tell me what I was not doing correctly in the realistic mode? For the tanker (150.00), I would tune my VHF to 150.00Mhz and keep the selector radio knob on the 'both' option, and then attempt the contact by using the "\" to bring up the radio menu, then navigate to the tanker section and attempt the contact; what have I not been doing correctly?

The FAC/AWACS/TANKER does not respond to any of my contact attempts - TACAN does work though, but that's about it. It used to work for me in version 1.1.0.6 - since about 1.1.0.8 (or maybe even since .7) I have not been able to have any contact with any of those. What should I do?

Firstly, Happy New Year to everyone! Secondly - since the ~second official patch for DCS, I have been unable to get the FAC/AWACS/TANKER to reply, not matter what impossible radio combinations I have tried etc etc. - THEY DO NOT RESPOND! As for the refueling - I am able to get the TACAN beacon to work, but the tanker does not reply to any of my attempts to have radio contact with it - including THIS very mission which was created. Does anyone know what is wrong? It used to work back in version... 1.1.0.6 - then it stopped working at some point, maybe after a patch - what should I do?

Can someone please explain to me how to properly input Refueling, AFAC and AWACS into multiplayer missions without problems arising. Currently, I have the following main concerns: all of the aircraft would be taxiing and taking off if I launched the mission with just myself in the game - if there are more people, the aircraft would just not taxi, but rather eventually start to 'stutter' themselves on the taxiway in what looks like no more of a foot a minute; the other problem I have is that when the aircraft fly to their orbiting area, they will either orbit a few times and then just fly straight in a random direction, or they will simply pass the orbiting area without doing a single turn and carry on until they disappear off of the map; the very last problem is that I cannot seem to get any feedback from any of these aircraft, even though they are capable of being contacted (with the correct frequencies being tuned into as well). It would be highly appreciated if someone was to give me a step-by-step guide into how these aircraft should be input into the missions, and what should and shouldn't be done to avoid problems as such described above. Will the current users using the normal 'download-off-the-site' version be able to use their given keys to unlock the game in Steam. It would be really worth it if this will be possible, rather than having to download the game and then download and install patches separately as such. I hope my dream will come true ^^ Thanks in advance!

A friend of mine is having a problem with getting the aircraft specified in the title working as they should in multiplayer. The problem is that either the aircraft don't take off (stop at the runway), they stop mid way through taxiing, the radios don't work (you don't get the options to contact them), or they just don't do anything. Can someone please write the procedures, in order, to get these aircraft working as they should. Thank you very much!
