Considering the complexity of DCS itself and the simple fact that every module represents a study simulation of a particular aircraft that requires weeks of commitment to be proficient, I believe FC3 only sells, both as a entry level "Package", a way to get your feet wet and is simply an introduction to bigger and better things. Once you buy your first couple FF modules, FC3 kinda becomes irrelevant and might only be played because your favorite aircraft is still not available in FF.

Absolutely... Also I have FC3 and I wouldn't hesitate to spend $80 on a FF F-15C. Owning FC3 is not a factor at all. Actually, I think flying the FC3 F-15C makes me more interested in buying a FF 15C.

The ratio of the poll is almost 4 to 1.

It's been weeks now that I have been training in the viper and things are starting to become a bit more fluid. It still makes no logical sense that the weapons selection defines the method of use and limitation of the primary acquisition sensors.. But the more time I spend in it, the easier and more sense it makes. It's still quite a bitch to be really fluid when engaging targets of opportunity.

LOL, I agree with your sentiment, but please don't mind me rubbing just a bit of salt in that wound.. Cheers.

Heatblur... Please Consider Making A Proper F15C

Please feel free to vote.. Maybe, if the numbers seem favorable, it could leverage a 3rd party to take on the project... -
And it carries a lot of "Kaboom!"

Sorry, OG for "Original" or "Old School" Cheers

Considering Razbam has already done the homework on the "E", it should relieve some of the work needed to make the "C". And if Razbam didn't want to commit to a "C" project, maybe they could share some of their work with a developer that was interested and the two teams could maybe share revenue. I like that the comments on this thread are relevant. It keeps the poll active in the forums so others have an opportunity to vote.

Agreed and I would be happy to pay for it as well.... From ED's business perspective, a dynamic campaign could take away sales from OG campaigns, but that goes along with progress.
-
Yeah, sure.. I wouldn't have a problem either. Just to be clear, the subscription idea was only for a "Streaming Version" of a Spherical DCS World. Only players that wanted to be a part of something like that would opt in to the subscription to access the "Dynamic World" You would still be able to play DCS with all your modules for free, you just wouldn't be able to log in to the ED server infrastructure that hosted the "Dynamaic World". Such an offering from any company would cost significantly to maintain, not to mention take "Years" to develop. Just "Spitballing" here.

Some strong points in the following thread to leverage making a an Eagle C. If you're an "Eagle Driver".. Vote

The idea was a subscription for just a hypothetical "Dynamic World", not "DCS World". My comment was more about the concept, than the subscription, but most people zeroed in on having to pay money instead of the idea concept. But I get it, most people really don't want to part with their money, but they have no problem asking developers... To work harder and faster... You get to choose two outa three.. Fast.. Good.. or Cheap.. Cheers Dragon

So sorry about that, I'll make sure next time that I pay better attention...

It's got "F-15" in it before the "E", so I'm a fan. I will probably buy it once it gets outa early access, plus I still have the 18 to learn, so plenty on my plate for a bit. But if an Early Access FF "C" was released tomorrow and it's external model was a "Doghouse", I would still buy it for me and everyone I'm having a drink with in the "Bar". Cheers

LOL, touche'

I'm a giant F15C fan and have been ever since I was young and I still haven't purchased the "E". The "E"'s development only occurred because of the "C" being such an exceptional platform. The Air Force and MAC realized it was a "No Brainer" to meet the All Weather, Night Capable and Precision Weapon Delivery requirements requested by the AF by simply adding new avionics and systems on to the F15C platform. The fact that the "E" is such a successful weapon system is owed entirely to the success of the design goals of the "C". From a highly focused design program to make the best air superiority fighter ever, "Not a pound of air to ground".... To arguably the best all weather, night capable, precision, heavy air to ground fighter ever made, just by accessorizing the F15C airframe. Two completely polar opposite jobs. So we have the Bastardized version of the original "C" as a mud mover.. Now we seriously just need the aircraft that started it all.. It's a disservice to not have the "C" as FF. Cheers

Disclaimer... I had posted this in response to another thread and thought it would be a good general topic to discuss. So here goes..... On the topic regarding the "Spherical World Map"... Lets face it, for a company to continue any sort of substantial development within an acceptable timeline, requires monetary incentive. It appears to me, that one of the issues with a product such as DCS where almost all of the revenue is based on a one time purchase per module per user and then done. And considering how Niche DCS is as a product. Reaching a saturation level for revenue probably happens pretty quickly, which would explain the need for DCS to continue churning out purchasable content to survive. The potential of something like a "Spherical World Map" Or a "Streaming Dynamic World" where users can fly anywhere and dynamically engage in hotspots that are supplied by private certified server operators, could be a good product model to justify a subscription service. Users would pay a small monthly fee to subscribe to "The DCS Dynamic World" and then ED would have the guaranteed monthly income to both support the "Dynamic World" but also to aggressively pursue content development... Just throwing this out there..

Absolutely... The Eagle "c" is a classic jet that arguably has set the stage for Blue force air superiority since the 1970's. It has been the fighter that most 4th gen and every 5th gen aircraft has been compared against during early design conception. Personally I believe the 15C should have been one of the first FF modules.

Fabulous, not surprised it has already been done. Voting if I can. Just voted and noticed the ratio currently is 3 to 1 in favor. Unfortunately only ~500 people have voted. Need more customers to vote.
