  1. I noticed a message on the website that says all games should be purchased via one website. Will Steams version work with non-steam games and/or can I re-download from digitalcombatsimulator.com and use my Steam key?
  2. So if I own DCS-A10 from Steam but KA-50 direct from ED, will the two link with BS2?
  3. That worked. Thanks! I've been out of the pc business for so long I have forgotten literally everything I knew. Sad, but my aging brain only has room for UNIX and coding now. Now if I can just locate my serial key off the old harddrive somewhere. I have been unsuccessful so far. I seem to recall having to login to the store to get the key in the first place. lets see if I can make progress there
  4. I know I should do some research and what not but I am a bit overwhelmed at the moment with projects. I received my new PC today and it was loaded with Win7. When I installed Blackshark and tried to run it, I received an error stating dx9.dlls were not found on the system. The system is currently at dx11 and I would assume that its backward compatible but that might not be the issue. I tried to run the game in compat mode Winxp sp2 but the same error occured. I could try to install dx9 from its setup but what would that do to 11? How should I proceed? Thanks, Jeff
  5. Outstanding! Ask and ye shall receive. The movie captures are nice. Jeff eh? I think this replied to the wrong thread. Did I get hijacked?

  7. Kuky, You can connect with 2 pcs from the same household. This is achieved because even though you have 1 external IP address, each packet has contained within the header a source and destination that is stripped off as it travels up the OSI model. Hyperlobby should simply see 2 requests from the same IP as opposed to 1. Sorry, I am getting called away to a meeting here so I have to make this quick. I can say from the past that I have had problems getting games to talk when they use different OS versions. I have had nothing but problems getting XP to talk with Win ME. Various connection issues with a myriad of different problems. Most of the suggestions here are sound and you should make sure they are in order first. Also, make sure you are not double firewalling with hardware as well as software. Make sure your ports are forwarded for both machines on the router. You probably do not have an IP conflict but make sure anyway. If all else fails, get a cross over cable and eliminate all the hardware entirely and you can troubleshoot from there out. Crap, that meeting is calling. Hope that helps
  8. I am pretty sure it was the real deal. If it were skinned over another chopper it is quite impressive.
  9. I always take what Hollywood does with a grain of salt. You can only get a basic idea from the movies. The rest you have to research yourself and even then you still question the source motivations, and/or its political agenda. History is written by the victor making even so called historically accurate movies questionable. On a lighter note, that Hind looked bad ass! Apparently, People on these forums haven't seen the movie or don't care to comment I tried to start a discussion but failed. I suck at life....
  10. Off topic but I am curious if you guys have seen the movie, "Blood Diamond". There is a scene where a Hind and another chopper are used to suppress a rebel camp. The other chopper might be a Lynx? Have I got that right? Anyway, can any of my fellow Russian simmers out here tell me how that might work? Does the studio say, "Hey, we would like to rent/lease one of your military choppers?" or do they convert a civilian one to look like a Hind? Because I am by far no expert but that was one impressive looking chopper if I remember right. By impressive I mean looked accurate. Unlike in the movie, "The Fourth War" where they took a screaming mimi and dolled it up to look like a Hind. Just curious
  11. Some people have tried to answer this post and and some, like me, have gone off on wild tangents. Try not to get frustrated. Back on track it looks like hes talking about the F-14 cockpit. I found another picture of the lines hes asking about. I do not know if these are detcords or not. Judging from their position directly over the head of the pilot and rio, I would say that they are. However, while searching the web for photos, I notcied that these line may or may not have been removed from the later versions of the Tomcat. Hope this helps
  12. Holy crap your right, they did go out the bottom. http://www.ejectionsite.com/b-52.htm It wasn't a dream afterall! Figures, there were no hot chicks
  13. scratch that firing down through the floor bit. That may have just been a dream I had.
  14. Man you guys can get downright mean! Would you eat the moon if it were made of ribs? It’s a relatively simple question, just answer it and we can move one. Now to throw some more fuel on this one. If I am not mistaken, there are some ejection systems that have a barb or pole that elevates out of the top of the seat to puncture the glass as well. I don't know which aircraft have this. Also, the old versions of the high altitude SAC bombers had ejections that fire the crew down through the bottom of the aircraft instead of up. And I believe the B-1 has a command capsule ejection doesn't it? Where the whole cockpit gets blown off on rockets and then slowly lowered. Oh, I think it was the F-111 that did that too. Most of this has long been updated I am sure into a different system. I just seem to remember some of this stuff from 20 years ago. And personally, I would not use the movie "Top Gun" for any sort of factual information as that was pure Hollywood popcorn. Oh and I do remember this as well since we are talking about ejection systems. The A-6 Intruder did not have a linked system. So if one guy left, the other was on his own. I know pilots would take extra shoestrings and tie them to the face curtain of the ejection handle of the guy next to him. That way, if they had to eject their friend, they would pull that and not get their arm torn off from the rapidly vacating seat. And I believe the A-6 had the post on the top of the seat to just smash through the glass on ejection. Reference another Hollywood popcorn movie, "Flight of the Intruder". Great book, bad movie! I am ready for my ritualistic beating now
  15. I wouldn't mind taking another shot at a JSF F35 simulation. Now that the contract has been won, the platform can be more specific. Probably a little too early to ask for one of those though huh? A guy can dream can't he?
