My grass is fine though I do have every other aircraft vibrating in the air after the update.
Violently shaking, unwatchable.
You have Australian grass lol

I have yet to download version 2.9 but encountered issues with the previous build. While flying the Apache, I attempted to switch to the F2 view and cycle through different aircraft. I noticed some black visual artifacts when I switched to the cockpit view. Initially, I thought this might be caused by clouds obstructing the sun.

I created a mission with DCC and when I launch it in DCS it say Insufficient Library's to run State.lua . The mission runs anyway and I usually get shot down in the AH64. I was just wondering what the error means.
Update: I figured it out. The Lua file has to be set for persistence after each update, I forgot about that. I put the changes in according to the manual and it works Great program, very easy to use and intuitive. Thanks
Hey @tusler can you explain what you did? I get the same error.

Turns out there's more than one carrier....

Absolutely nothing about the SC in this post by your own people.
Placing a paywall on an expected module capability through another is very poor form.
I am 100% agree with you. Why a feature of F/a-18 is placed in a paywall. I don't want animated deck crew and new carrier blocks. I have same question for the ATC. ATC is a basic feature of a flight simulator. Why basic ATC commands are placed in a paywall.
I am sorry to say that the F/A-18 is not feature complete. To get features like ATC and ACLS you have to buy SC. Why?. Why it is forced.

I really enjoyed this thread.
KA-50 is easy to learn. AH 64 is a bit hard and difficult to control but with practice, it will be easier. In the long run, 64 has more features Radar, FLIR, Night ops etc. I like all the choppers in the DCS. The only chopper I don't like is Gazelle due to its flight model.
For me, Ka-50 is like I am wheeling on a sports bike, while Apache is like I am learning to cycle

I confirm I have noticed same issue.

Sorry I am not an English speaker. I read the thread and I agree with you on the topic of VRS. I don't have any evidence or proof but something is wrong with hip. The DCS MI 8 is very easy to get into VRS
Other than the VRS issue it is one of the best module and Heli Sim available in the market.

I am not a real world pilot but I think MI 8 is easy to get in VRS. During landing You have to give complete focus to VSI otherwise you will get into VRS. If your Heli is heavy then you must give extra precaution to prevent VRS, otherwise you will meet your friend called death

Latest update totally wrecked my experience. At first it just crashed every time I tried to load a mission via Mission Editor, then I did a complete repair and got mission to start but framerates were totally unplayable. Prior to yesterday's update I was running very smoothly with framerates locked to 45.
crash log was submitted
I used mission editor and have no crash. Do you have any modes installed?. My game is not crashed a single time since 2.7 released. I am using 2d screen

I encountered this end mission bug on multiple campaigns. I am frustrated as hell. I tried same mission multiple times but stuck on end mission button. I will try @BuzzLine fix.

Don't be silly. These are in-game shots of the new clouds. It would make no sense to photoshop this. But thanks for the compliment, that you think they look so good they cant be real.
Prove it. It is not Photoshoped ;)

I see an interesting option for the Mi-8MTV2 in the mission editor. Is that new as well?
Which option?

Don’t see anything, atleast nothing more then how everything else in frame shakes around
Yes you are right. Every thing moves.

I hope we will get it sooner.

Thank you for the next update

Looking forward to another great campaign. Currently playing Ranger's campaign next I will play this campaign.
DCS has top notch aircraft but lack missions, quality mission and ED has a trend that no campaigns with newer aircraft. They charges premium but without any believable campaign.
Once again thank you and keep it up the good work

Amazing. ED will hate you
Huey or Gazelle for learning to fly a helicopter?
in DCS 2.9
Posted · Edited by sniperwolfpk5
I wouldn't recommend the Gazelle; go for the Hip and Huey instead. Flying the Huey is a must, as it lacks SAS/AP (autopilot) assistance. For mastering chopper basics, the Huey is your best choice. Personally, I have a preference for the Hip over the Huey, although it's a bit more challenging. I've had the opportunity to fly every chopper available in DCS. I've completed all the default campaigns with the Hip, Huey, and Shark, and I must say they are quite enjoyable. The Gazelle is the only chopper I've spent less time with.
