I'm using FRAPS to check my FPS, and was wondering how accurate is it. the reason I'm asking this is that I play campaigm missions with the A-10 at 1280X1024 res, with almost everything set to max (xcept water on medium and VSB range on medium) with mirrors and scratches on, ans FSAA X2 and AF set by app. I get FPS count of 45-60 with 35-40 on the runway and it rarely drops below 30 on populated areas and heavy activity. it seems quite high to me. if these readings are true I'll be a heapy camper. so is FRAPS for real? SB

Ah! so i'm not alone :icon_supe do you also have a brief drop of FPS when other A/C are entering your bubble (and then it catches up again) or when your missile hits another A/C? SB

I have an Athlon64 X2 4800+ (dual core) with 1gig of RAM and an ATi X1800XL (256).I find It sometimes qite hard to read the FPS because it "flickers" a lot, the numbers change very quickly between 24,50,88 and sometimes I can see a glimps of minus something (!) yes. I have negative FPS . the numbers run very swiftly back and forth even in straight flight over water with nothing going on. someone knows what causes this "flickering"? SB

You talk about LOMAC 1.12? is there going to be 1.12 Patch? :icon_supe when? what? where? :D SB

yes the black screen...I had it in LOMAC too. I think it's got something to do with the mods. what I did was this: I started with a fresh install. then put the mods one by one and the mods that caused the probs were the F-16 dirty and the F-15 cockpit mod or a combination of them. my advice is to do the same - freash install, then carefully putting the mods. OR - uninstalling them one after the other and see what goes. hope it helps. SB

right, I dropped my res to 1024X764 and off with AA and tried it on "high" VSB range and it still appear. like you said Maulkin ,it draws it suddenly if I change POV. SB

Terr preload at 100 VSB range on medium, high makes even my new system (see specs below) crawl on its knees. SB

Hi all I noticed a distinct demarcation (?) line on the terrain in FC1.11. is it normal, or is it just me? my scenes and textures are set to "high". here's a pic (demarcation line circled in yellow):

AT first I thoght it was just with the F-15 skins. then I got it with the "vanilla" F-15 too, so ,maybe it's got nothing to do with it. nothing to do about this prob - you say you all get it? I didn't get it with me old rig, but come to think about it - I didn't play it too much with the old rig. SB

OK this is the full version of the error message I get after crashing with FC1.11: "The instruction at "0x01a93db0" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory could not be "read". and one time: The instruction at "0x77bcb9b5" referenced memory at "0x00030006". The memory could not be "write". some has an idea what this message means and it could be solved? SB

yes I have. but no luck :confused: . when I crash I get a windows error message saying something like: "the memory couldn't be "read" " or something like that (forgive my poor translating skills..:( ) SB

here are the rrsults of my search: file TRAVA-2.TGA : not found in LOCKON folder. files: samara-red.bmp, samara-blue.bmp, and samara-cherry.bmp are found in: Bazar\terrain\structures\high folder in :Vaz-2109 can you make something out of this info? SB

well, Loman2.1 with TEKA TEKA patch is supposed to handle FC 1.11 with no probs and it does, with other non F-15 skins (such as SU-27) and yes, I've tried not CDDs-ing them. sadly. for some reason that I'm not aware of I can't use ModMan or Loman4b3...:confused: so I'm stuck with Loman2.1. SB

Hello all. I'm not new to LOMAC FC1.11 but this a problem I never got before: when flying campaign the game crashes in weird way - I get a black screen just some sound running in the background and after about 30 seconds I get an error message like: lock on encountered an unexpected error and will be shut down etc..(forgive me for not translating the message correctly my XP is not in English) and them I CTD. thing is the crash happens ONLY after I install some high res F-15 skins (like Oxyd's for example) with LOMAN 2.1(got teka teka patch!) when playing with the stock skins I do not crash. and its only with the F-15 skins as far as I know. here's the crashlog: 19/01/2006 15:59 V502031740 DXProceduralTexture: failed to create, D3DERR_INVALIDCALL. Hi everybody I'm new here, but not new to LOMAC or flight sims in general. and now - to my question: I'm playing LOMAC 1.1FC and I've installed F-15 compass ghost weatherad skin (by D-scythe) I've installed it with Loman 2.1 and all went fine. but when I tried to uninstall it - I got this: parts of the compass skin seems to stick around and wouldn't unistall. somebody told mw I should use LOMAN 4b3 to do it. So I D/L it (plus all the dll's required ) but I just can't make this LOMAN work. I always get a meesege saying" contact Sybase support ingeneer" and thats it. please help me to get it working. Thanx in advence -SilentBob
