  1. nice lack of training or maybe a all helos looks the same at 800 miles an hour if someone identified enemy targets in a no fly zone and you flew past them all you would see where two helos so maybe just maybe it was combat stress and i highly doubt trigger happy im sure more conversation happened between the 15s and the awacs then was published in that story so before you say trigger happy and lack of training know that these guys put there butts on the line day in and day out and have the best training possible.
  2. what i meant was one 7 up front and one 120 up front now you my have never seen this but i have seen it on many occassians for our combat missions
  3. you could be right about the 6 and 2 but with the aim-9x just coming in to service i still see a 4 4 config and as far as the 120s up front i dont think i have seen that config on any of our planes
  4. ok to anwser your question a standard combat loadout on a -15c model is 4 -120s 2 -9 and 2 -7 however the aim-7 is going away so it will probably turn into 4 and 4 how ever the config for the 4 2 2 is -120s on the outside of the pylons and the -9s on the inside as for the 4 lau-106 stations on the fuselage of the a/c 1 -120 goes in the front and 1 goes in the back and same for the -7s This is the standard air force combat config for F-15c's oh yeah forgot tank placements 2 tanks one on each wing pylon NOTHING on the center pylon So thats 2 tanks not 3
  5. i do belive the advantage they are going for is its more accurate therefore less deaths
  6. try the manual activation on the lockon.ru page
  7. i miss spoke the first time but the second time i said it was to a certian extent and while your bsing cannon shells are fire and forget if u think about it :)
  8. so the -120 is a fire and forget weapon to a certian extent correct?
  9. how do u maintain lock on 4 different a/c 'cause correct me if im wrong but you can track and fire at up to 8 different targets with the -15c and the 120
  10. at most any range u can fire it the -120 has its own radar therefore doesnt need the jets radar to guide it after its fired i have experienced this in the game as well most anytime i fire a 120 i change my target and fire another i have had 3 120s in the air at once turned away from those 3 jets and got kills on all three so yes it is a fire and forget weapon
  11. but correct me if im wrong the aim-9 is one of the more reliable misilles the US has
  12. hey FYI for anyone flying agaisnt -15 and an aim-7 the -15 needs to keep radar contact until the -7 hits its target unlike the -120 which is a fire a forget weapon the -7 uses the -15s radar to guide its self to the target so if you can break radar lock on the -15 you should be able to dodge the -7 no as for the -120 all i have to say is good luck and one quick question how come no one ever talks about evading aim-9s
  13. ok im kinda new to the fc version as a matter of fact only been playing it a week so this might be a stuipd question but what bvr chages are they making and since i fly the -15 and havent spent much time in migs or sus what is there bvr capability
