  2. Hi all, I have had my Saitek x52 for a few years now, and lately I've noticed a strange problem with the y axis around the center. If I open up the control panel and look at the y axis slider and slowly move the stick around the center the y axis position makes small choppy jumps, like it's sticking at certain values and requires more input to move off that value. But here's the strange thing: if I hold down a button the y axis becomes just as smooth as any other axis. The choppiness is completely gone. I notice this problem most with the mustang and dora, because as I am coming in for a strafing run, I get jumpy pitch changes. However I wasnt noticing it in the a10c because PAC is set to trigger stage 1, which is a button, which means the y axis goes smooth as I'm holding it down. Has anyone else got the same problem? If you have an x52 (non-pro), please go into the Control Panel Deadzones screen, wiggle the stick around center and then try it with holding a button down. Do you notice any difference in smoothness? I have tried this with 2 versions of the 7.0.x.y saitek drivers and even on a different machine without the drivers and get the same behaviour. I have tried every USB port (2 and 3.0) on my machine, and two separate powered usb hubs; same problem. If I look at DIView while moving around the center I am getting much different delta (ms) when not holding buttons vs holding. It's like certain values around center are being missed unless the joystick has an event going on. I have added extra magnets to the stick to increase sensivity around center, but it doesnt appear to change this choppiness behaviour. I have only been able to find one other instance of this occurring on the internet, which is how I know holding down a button helps. I'm thinking that a permanent solution is going to have to be to tape down one of the mfd buttons, but I hate losing buttons (2 as I use pinky states a lot). Any ideas?
  3. Hi wolle, I've played the Sting Like a Bee mission a couple of times now, and I can't get the FM homing on 30Mhz or 30.5Mhz for the 2 drop sites. Unrelated to your mission, I also wasn't able to use the slingload camera after landing and loading troops. Otherwise, I liked this mission. I hang around after completing it to see how the MANPADs fight back. Operation Crazy Horse looks fun too. Thanks for making the campaign.
  4. That's fixed it. I managed to notice the 2 mission fixes you posted, but missed that you'd updated the campaign when making it available in User Files. It might be because of my graphics settings, but the ground units in Caesar that let off a flare when I get near (manpads/downed pilots), do so too far away for me to see. I have to fly closer and F10,F6.
  5. If you have track-ir, I find if I block the leds with my hand, I can use the mouse for aiming. It's not ideal... I'd like the option to aim with mouse and look around with trackir, like in ARMA3.
  6. Hi wolle, I'm really enjoying your campaign. It's tough but fair. Good work! I'm not able to complete the CAESAR mission though. Everytime I try, I rescue at least one pilot, land at Senaki-Kolkhi, drop the pilot off and it says they will respawn in one minute. However, the mission never ends. Often only one friendly will be shot down at all, and I end up flying around waiting for another casualty. I am constantly checking for downed pilots (F10-F2) but noone responds. Is there some trigger I'm not tripping? Cheers.
  7. This is how I have been engaging multiple targets with MAVs slaved to the TGP. Before engaging, I turn the AAP to MARK and I position the TGP over each target, and MARK them (TMS right short). Then I slave the TGP to steerpoint (China Hat aft long). Then I slave all to TGP (China Hat forward long). Now when I change steerpoint between my markpoints, the TGP and the MAV automatically slew to the markpoint. Now I close in to firing range and do the following steps with MAV as SOI: 1. TMS up short to lock up the target 2. Weapons release 3. Change my steerpoint to the next Markpoint 4. (This is important) Slave maverick to the SPI (China Hat forward long). 5. Go to 1. for as many targets as there are. This seems to work well, and is similar to the technique I've seen to launch multiple GBU-38's in one pass. But, can anyone tell me what real A-10 pilots do? I cant seem to get the 'quick fire' mode of the mavericks to consistently work, because slewing the mav seeker often just locks up the wrong target again. Maybe they fly smoother than me?
  8. Apologies, when you said my track showed "normally" to me, I assumed you meant it showed me taking off normally. You meant it replayed normally. I run 64bit.
  9. Iceman2011, that's two tracks now where you see different behaviour than what was recorded. I suggest you look into whether your installation is correct. Have you updated to 1.1.0.8?
  10. This has happened to me too: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=75367
  11. I currently run Windows 7, 64bit A10 and Freetrack using ppjoy with Windows in test mode. Apart from a couple of reboots and some axis setup initially, I haven't had any issues with day to day use. What is clunky about it?
