I believe I used Mjoy, entered some values, and then just saved the config. Not sure if i had received a file too.

no news... right?
Dude, the A-10C II update has only been released 6 years ago... You need to be patient!
Sorry for my cringe comment ED, but c'mon, really, six years for this feature??

Wow! A free Sedlo campaign for the F-4! How did I not see this before?!
Thanks a lot!
Edit:
Just started mission 1 (unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish as my daughter needed some attention, but fortunately I see I can try again and skip to the push point).
Awesome voice acted comms! Really some quality stuff
Please @Sedlo; tell me you're working on something similar for the CW Germany map
. That map just breathes Phantom.

Why do all the latest official DCS videos show the new soilder models, they have been doing this now for a couple of years, yet they are not in the game at all, they really are showing misleading content.
The C130 looks amazing though, I'll purchase once I see how the logistics work and if this is expanded out to the CH47 which is very lacking in that department offically.

I basically asked the same a few weeks back, and was rightfully pointed towards the disclaimer at the end of the video:
One can still argue on this being "misleading", but in the end it's ED's choice of marketing of course

One way is uninstalling the unused modules prior to performing the updateAh ok
I'll try that
(I haven't made the plunge into DCS ww2 yet, so that's quite a heavy chunk of data not being used)

The last update was 80GB for me, the previous one, I don't remember, but maybe it was around 70GB. So, in fact, you might need to download almost 150GB. But that's probably not a surprise?
Well, it kinda was a surprise to me..
Is this because of the Corsair and Marianas ww2? (both of which I don't use).
I wish ED came up with some way that would allow us not having to download stuff we don't use.
(My 2TB disk is not sufficient anymore it seems
)

Sorry if discussed before, but..
I missed the previous update, so I now have to do the last 2 updates at once. When doing so, I get a warning that I don't have enough disk space and that the update is a whopping 149GB!
Ehr.. that can't be right now, can it?

how about making it optional? Looking at the super carrier I can see why the overlay is a good and why it isn't
Hardly anybody here will vote against "optional", as long as by default all these (overlay) aids are off
(I/we shouldn't have to disable aids, the folks that need the assists should enable them. But that's just my opinion)

Wow!
That's the second bargain deal I see pass on this sub-forum in one week time. Very nice offer!

If you're willing to invest, you could go for PointCtrl and add its aux banks.
That will give you two pads with 3 buttons each, that you can stick on your headset. These buttons can be bound at will. I always use the left one for NVG on/off and gain+-
The right one I use for various. For instance to salute in carrier aircraft.
Very immersive

That is a very friendly asking price! (at least when I compare it to similar 2nd hand TM Warthog sets here in The Netherlands)
Someone should jump on this

The museum I linked in my OP was very nice. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the neighborhood.
Many different Mirage versions (even a Mirage IV), Jaguars, MiG-21 and 23, A-4, and lots more.
The even have an airworthy Bronco! (which they were so kind to let me sit in). A full fidelity versiob of this thing would be awesome for DCS (I know about the unofficial mod).

The passion is always getting fueled
Last Saturday we arived on our holiday address (close to Dieulefit, France). After unpacking and relaxing with one of the books I still had on my reading list ("Warthog", by William L. Smallwood) we were met by a French Rafale doing some super awesome low flying:
Me hoping this being a low fly zone, but unfortunately it seems to have been a solo action (at least until now).
The weather turned a bit grey, so we started looking for alternatives to hiking and playing around in one of the many streams here, and guess what; I stumbled upon this aircraft museum close by:
Musée Européen de l'Aviation de Chasse
Good times!
(My GF and daughter are so lucky with me
)
Happy holidays (for those it's applicable to
)

Even before I checked his signature, I knew the OP is obviously not using VR
Current radio menu definitely does need an overhaul (as I'm sure ED knows and is maybe even working on). I don't really care what it will become, as long as it doesn't require a mouse to navigate through.
A fully integrated DCS core feature like VAICOM would be the best (and actually the only right thing to do).

I work with pretty high res color point clouds on a daily basis (Plant Design/Industry).
I did some testing in VR few years back (using software called Scene) and the results were pretty astonishing. It was a pretty raw scan, no manual adjusting and/or additional 3D modeling. Performance was amazingly smooth on my old GTX1080TI and visuals were, well, photorealistic.
Major downside though, is size. Even small/simple pointclouds can be enormous in size. 500mb per 3D scan file is pretty normal in our line of work (for games I can imagine they're even higher res) and to capture for instance an entire cockpit, you'll need a few of those scans. So scanning a whole village (let alone a DCS sized map) isn't realistic at the moment.

With AI you mean? (can't open your mission now)
AI can't land and take off again in DCS. I know, definitely one of DCS' major AI shortcomings at the moment

Repost from discord
Hey guys,
Apologies for the not being on here. I recently have been dealing with a medical issue, and PointCTRL may be going away. I will do my best to take care of any current issues, but right now I'm not sure what what the future holds for it, and I don't know when I will be back on here to respond. Thanks,
MilesIt saddens me to read this.
I really hope you get better soon. Wish you all the best Miles.

I finished my initial Obutto setup
There's still a few things I need to tweak (like a more subtle way to quickly swap between my collective and two throttles and I'm still waiting for a few USB extension cables), but it all works and looks slick
.
The only downside of this center stick mount, is that it's too high to use my center stick extension (I'll probably have to do some rework on my muscle memory now.
First my old setup:

The other day was the first time I've been here in quite some time. When I signed in there was a message stating something about great to see me back and something about my account being re-activated or some such thing. Starting about ten minutes after signing in, the junk mail started. Since the other day I've received over 100 junk emails. On average I would normally get about 10 a week. So thanks for that DCS. Great way to welcome me back.
Instead of spending time to vent your frustrations out in public (it appears you're the only one experiencing these issues), wouldn't you agree your time could have been spend more useful reaching out directly to ED?
(Sorry to vent my frustration now, but all these negative "I don't like DCS" and "that's it, I quit" kinda complain-posts aren't useful to anyone)
