  1. LOL! Dude, that’s hilarious!!! LOL! Hornets on Ice! That’s great!!!
  2. Yeah, it may be Viper related. I’ll do more testing when I get back home.
  3. Guys, thanks for the input. It did help deleting those files. However, I don’t remember having so many stutters, and frames hanging out in the upper thirties so much. Again, it was better, but something’s going on with my system, and DCS World. Maybe it has something to do with the latest NVidia driver update, or the new Steam VR release update. Gotta keep an eye on it. Thanks again and if in the US, Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours guys. Ray
  4. I’ll try that Mike. Thanks. I’ve plugged BOTH the Reverb and the Rift S, and is pretty much the same. Getting stutters. The frame rates will be steady at 40 or 45, depending on the headset, then they suddenly drop to the lower thirties or so for like a couple of seconds, and then spike back to the steady 40 or 45s. I don’t know what’s going on! Gives me a light headache! Hate that! Lol
  5. Guys, just did a quick night AAR mission with the Viper out of Batumi, and the frame rates were terrible. That’s with today’s update, and the latest NVidia drivers released yesterday. I’m using Windows 10, i9-9900K, NVidia 2080Ti, and the Reverb. Has anybody noticed any drop in VR performance? I also know there was a new update to Steam VR, so I have to check the VR settings and see if there were any changes in settings. I’ll try a day mission tomorrow as well, and report back here. Just wondering if anyone here has noticed any drop in performance. Thanks. Ray
  6. Got it! That’s what it was! Dude, thank you so much for your help! I appreciate it man! Take care! Bones
  7. The “\” right now. Not home. On a laptop. Which by they way, I found out after unchecking Easy Communication, the [N/A] goes away, but I still receive no response; even after setting the correct frequency. On the Hornet, the “\” no longer works after unchecking that selection. So, I can’t check it with the Hornet.
  8. Hey Bell! I’m just selecting on the menus for now.
  9. Hey guys, I know is something I’m missing, but I can’t figure it out. I set up a training mission with two JTACs, and different modules. When I open COMMs menu and select JTAC, with any module, I'm seeing “[N/A]’ in front of the JTAC callsign; and the line is black. This is indicative of the radio not being in the correct frequency. I understand that. As an example in the Hornet, if I select one JTAC with the mouse, and select any of the lines to contact the JTAC, the radios get tuned, the line changes to a white color, the “[N/A]” goes away, and I get a response from the JTAC. I understand the same thing happens if I tune the correct frequency first, by interacting with the VC. I cannot get neither method to work with the Viper. I’ve set up the JTACs on both UHF and VHF. One is set to V135 MHz AM, and the other one on U307 MHz FM. Neither frequencies am I able to receive a response in the Viper. I’ve changed BOTH the frequencies and the channel frequencies using the UFC, and I’ve selected the lines on the COMMs menu. Frequency changes are correctly displayed on the DED. What am I missing? Thanks! Bones
  10. Copy all guys. Thanks for the feedback. Hopefully someone from ED will check it out and see if they can do anything. Ray
  11. The numbers fluctuate all over the place around the TDC cursor, as it is stationary, and I move the antena knob. I can also see the indicator on the left side of the MFD going up/down un-commanded; while the knob is stationary. How did you set it up? I’m trying to determine, if is hardware, setup, a bug, or user error. Thanks. Ray
  12. Hey, has anyone gotten the antena elevation knob on the Cougar to work right? If so, can someone please post here what was done to make it work. My antena elevation is all over the place. It doesn’t stay where I set it to. I looked at the known bugs tracking section, but didn’t see it there. Thanks! Ray
  13. Okay guys. I was able to rearm with or without the canopy open, with engines running. I was at the start off a mission I built. I was going to rearm after landing, but I had to back out because of severe frame rate drops, stutters, and tears. It happened after touchdown. No idea what that was all about. That’s what I have so far. Are you guys getting the load out menus? Ray
  14. Canopy opened hah? Gotta try that. See if makes any difference. Ray
  15. Okay. Try setting the parking brake maybe? Or change the spot and see if that’s the issue. I was able to do it at least three times this afternoon. I was located on the parking spots midfield. I’m getting ready to fly it again. I’ll check to see if I can duplicate it. I’ll fly, land, and see if I can rearm and refuel. Thanks for the feedback. Ray
  16. I second that request! I was going to suggest the same. I fly with the same setup. Thanks for posting. Ray
  17. Sorry man, but don’t know your level of experience. I have to ask. Is the airbase you’re trying to rearm and reload a Blue, Red, or Neutral? Also, what Air Base and map have you tried? Are the engines running? Is there electrical power on the airplane? How are the menus selections, white or black? I think that at least the battery switch has to be on. Check those and let me know please. Hope is one of those. Ray
  18. I see the Steam VR house, not the Windows one, if it makes any sense. I’ll play with it some more today. Oh, one thing that I’m getting too, is the headset showing like, static, consisting of horizontal and vertical color lines, when I turn on the computer; with a white background. Is like the headset doesn’t initialize. The only way to fix it, is to either restart the computer, or unplug the USB and plug it back in. Have you guys seen anything like that? That’s happening quite often. I’m gonna try a different USB. Ray
  19. Oh. One more thing that maybe you guys have an answer for. Do you guys get an orange bar across the top of the screen, a prompt that asks to use the Window + Y key to use the mouse? Is there a way to just use the mouse by default. I don’t need the controllers for DCS, or flight simulation for that matter. That feature sucks because, I always have to Alt-Tab to be able to use the Windows + Y key, so that I can use the mouse within VR and DCS. Ray
  20. Man, at this point, I’m more confused than ever! Lol I uninstalled WMR from my computer and restarted it. Then went to the Steam website and downloaded WMR for Steam VR from there, and that’s when it started to work smoothly, after some additional setup. I’m hoping they improve the drivers/set up processes for that thing. The headset visual is great! The setup, completely sucked for me! Lol Ray
  21. Okay, cool! So, set it as a percentage and disregard the resolutions shown then? Thanks man! Ray
  22. I uninstalled WMR, and restarted the computer. I then downloaded and installed WMR for Steam VR, from the Steam website. It took me trough a little different setup process. They are two different applications right? Ray
  23. Okay guys, I finally got the Reverb to work right. Thank you guys so much for your help! I systematically troubleshooted it today, and here's what I came up with: I was running Windows Mixed Reality instead of Windows Mixed Reality for Steam. When I found out I was running the wrong WMR version, when I got the headset, I installed WMR for Steam, but did not uninstall WMR. When I turned on the PC, WMR would launch automatically. There was no obvious way for me to tell the difference in the two applications, as there's no difference in the application window tittle, to indicate which version of the app I was running. In other words Windows Mixed Reality, and Windows Mixed Reality for Steam, looked identical, from looking at the upper left hand corner of the main application screen. So, apparently, those two applications don't appear to run well together. After correcting that, I launched DCS and had the stutters, but at a much less frequency. I then made the edits to the file by removing the "//", and things really improved to almost being completely smooth. The frames where no longer bouncing all over the place. So that was awesome! The final change that made it completely smooth, was bringing down my PD within DCS to 1.0, from 1.5. I do have a couple of questions though: 1. I was abled to see the light indication on the upper left of the headset. What's the difference between the green light, and the blue? 2. If there's anyone here running the Reverb with the i9-9900k, and the 2080Ti. What resolutions are you showing within Steam VR, for Application and for Video? As default, I'm showing like a 19XX X 19XX number, or something like that. I ended up sliding the Video setting to 188%, and I ended up getting something like 22XX X 21XX. I hope the above, helps someone with the same issue I had. Thanks again guys! I really appreciate your help. Ray
  24. I’m trying to find a way of locking the Reverb at 45 FPS. Is that possible? I just bought it a couple of days ago, and I’m seriously considering returning it, because of the stutters. My frame rates bounce between 90 and 45. I have the Rift S, and that thing is smooth with an ocasional stutter every now and then. Frames are constant at 40. The Reverb leaves me with a light headache every time! Hasn’t failed at that yet! Bones
  25. Thanks Revs. I’ll do more on that tomorrow. Not giving up on the Reverb yet! Bones
