In light of 1.2.0's voice issues, do you all think its wise to go with 1.1.1.1 to learn the systems (from startup to shut down)? Or is there another way to train without the voice? Thanks, Chris

Ok, so just A10 will work in the world. Will I still be able to take full advantage of all it's missions and training?

So after having had my attention turned to DCS World in another post, I have found myself with even more questions. I haven't deactivated either BS1 or A10 for starters. First, what do I download to be able to use BS1 and A10? Is it just DCS World or do I need to download BS1 and A10 as well? If I need to download both A10 and BS1, is it just 1.2.0? And last for now, will I be able to use the training missions and normal missions for each? Thanks, Chris

Great. I appreciate the feedback. But if that's all we need to do, what's the point of the deactivation code process?

I am selling my computer and have a beefier unit on order (main reason actually being A10), however I did not de-activate either A10 nor BS prior to uninstalling them. I looked into how to de-activate them and apparently it needs to be installed to get a hardware number for de-activation. Question is, can I simply reinstall the programs on my new computer and use another activation code? Or, do the programs needs to be de-activated from the first computer prior to re-activation on another? If so, teach me how to do both. I'm far from what you would call computer literate. I set the settings up on "real" under the aircraft pulldown menu in options. I don't see an option anywhere to be able to fly under arcade or simulation though. Where can I select the option for that? Also, I got it working when I ran as administrator. Does that mean something?

Another hint as to what is going on beyond my reach; I ran BS as "administrator" and it works fine. Any ideas?

Downloaded the sim yesterday and was happy to find everything worked well. I ended up getting the hang of flying when I started messing around with the gun. It worked when I used the spacebar, I could select different rates of fire and so on. Then, when I went to set it up on the stick and came back (actually only made change to release weapon), the gun just didnt work at all but the flight controls and everything else did. Fastforward from there, I tried going back to just deleting settings and going to default but I couldn't figure it out at the time. No investment in settings made, I uninstalled the program and reinstalled to find that the same settings (visua and everything was still there). Now only this time, I set up the stick and its axis', but nothing works with the stick at all now. Any ideas? Thank you, Chris

Ok, downloaded and works without issue. The graphics are set to low but its pretty smooth and still looks pretty good. Now I need to figure out how to go back to the default settings for keyboard/mouse/joystick.....

Checked an addon I have for fsx (which runs well) that suggests using above what DCS is suggesting. I'll give shark a crack tomorrow when I can get back to my computer. I'll report back. Hopefully it's just warthog that is a system...hog. Thanks, I'll be here all day

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD apparently

That's the ultimate question. Will it be useable and a decent runner as compared to Warthog? I understand I won't be able to take full advantage, buy is it useable?

Unfortunately I'm mobile, which means a laptop that cant be upgraded. Any other ideas?

I'd love to download Black Shark but am hesitant to do so with my track record with Warthog. I have terrible frame rates and long load times with the hog. So much so that it is unplayable, a shame because I think it's a great program with a lot of promise. I've got FSX loaded and it runs without any issues on fairly substantial settings (not maxed but high to very high). The approximate stats on my PC are: Windows 7 intel i5 at 2.3 4 gig of RAM And a 1.5 gig "integrated" video card. My apologies if this is an approximation but I don't have my computer handy and I am not exactly computer literate. I guess in short, if I were to get the shark would I be able to use it or run into issues like Warthog? Thanks all Chris
