  1. I couldn't find anything out about the Mi8 is immune to mast bumping and for the life of me I couldn't get the rotor separate in a low g pushover (high g to low g). I imagine you all will get around to it sooner or later much like you did with the Huey. On the other hand great job so far BST. Chris (edit to moderator, I apologize and put this thread in the wrong section; flight dynamics)
  2. Disregard. On the pay page (not the coupon page) you have the checkbox to apply your DCS balance to the order.
  3. Thanks Peter, I saw that too. Maybe since the Mi8 is a beta I can't use it?
  4. I'm certainly behind the curve on this one but I've done some searching and couldn't turn up how to use my bonus dollars. Looking at my account, it appears that I have $10 however when attempting to purchase the Mi8, I can't find out how to apply this money. Any ideas? Many thanks, Chris
  5. In this context, what does livestream mean? For sale on July 4th? The date of my nations independence. :) I've been quiet throughout the other threads but appreciate this update and am in eager anticipation of release. Rock on brother.
  6. I just tried again and while it's still easy to lift up and hover without using the pedals, I rotated 180 degrees while still in a hover and found myself needing to add more pedal than usual to hover. My guess is Belsimtek was being nice and dialed in just the right amount of wind to take off for the first mission.
  7. I've never actually gotten around to flying the campaign until this morning and I noticed that the handling seems to have been dumbed down. For example in taking off, you apply counter torque on the pedals in normal situations however in the campaign, it appears that you don't need to apply any counter torque on the pedals. Surely I'm not the only who has noticed this but I couldn't find it mentioned anywhere else when I searched. Any ideas?
  8. I tend to cruise right at the end of the green arc on the exhaust temp gauge. Depending on configuration that usually puts me between 80-90 kt.
  9. I'll give this a shot tonight. My only question is did you use the generic options in DCS or in the TM Target program to assign the arbitrary number selections?
  10. Disregard, wasn't pressing hard enough on the paddle. Please delete.
  11. I've set up my TIR5 with success but am having issues with the cetering/pause functions on my TM Warthog. In the TIR program I've selected the clicker inside of the slew (on the throttle) as the centering function and the paddle switch of the joystick as the pause. Unfortunately, it appears that the TIR program sees a generic "joystick" number as the only option and it doesn't differentiate between joystick and throttle. In effect, this issue displays in game as when I hit the the first stage of PAC (A10C) on the joystick, the view centers (where it should have only been the clicker inside of slew to do this). When I hit the mic forward on the throttle, the view pauses (where should have been only the right pinkie paddle to do this). I can't imagine I'm the only person whose had this issue. I found this link here http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=69966 but it quickly went off topic and I don't want to use autohotkey. In essence, is there any way I can: 1. Make the TrackIR program differentiate between the throttle and joystick? 2. Or, change the button numbering on the TM Warthog (somewhere in Microsoft Windows) to something like joystick 101, 102, 103, etc instead of joystick 1, 2, 3, etc? Thank you
  12. I have a TM Warthog and can't figure out how to turn the pinkie paddle on the stick into a useable button. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Chris
  13. In the first night CAS mission where you need to defend Redskin and Packer to Colorado and Main, I find myself stuck. How are you all getting past this particular mission? Thus far I've gotten to this point while not using JTAC. Is this a requirement for this mission? Which one should I be using to get these units to their point of destination? Many thanks Chris
  14. On the ground hit the INSERT key to enable nosewheel steering. Use the rudders from there for control.
  15. Many thanks fellow NOVA neighbor.
  16. Well, this all culminated with me sending my computer back to the assembler after it crashed repeatedly on mission 2-3-0. I was flying this mission yesterday without any hiccups and for whatever reason today about a minute in the computer just crashed and rebooted. To make matters worse when it did reboot, my secondary hard drive disappeared from Windows. Oye
  17. I've search and may not be using the right terms but I can't seem to progress past a rotation of missions 2-2-0, 2-2-1 and 2-2-3 or some mix thereabouts. It's the missions to interdict some t units, I have to assist some razor units and I have to destroy a "unit" at headquarters (but I couldn't find any specifics on what the unit was). I'm obviously messing something up or missing the targets somewhere (even though I'm laying waste to some bad guys). What specifically does the "world" want me to do to progress through the campaign in general? I know that is a broad question for a specific problem I'm having but it seems to be a theory I can apply to the remainder of the campaign. Thanks
  18. I think you're right :/
  19. Never saw a brand name, it was included in the rig I ordered. I had name brand options but didnt go that route.
  20. 2 week old computer. I'm thinking PSU Many thanks
  21. I've got a GTX780 but with an "850" watt PSU, I figured I was good enough. Your suspicion is the same as mine. It's happened once, maybe twice. Hopefully its a non issue........
  22. I was refreshing on the Huey startup when my computer just shut down and rebooted. I have an idea what it was but am soliciting input. Thanks, Chris
  23. That answers that, many thanks.
  24. To those that use the DFGT pedals, do you plug the VGA cable straight into your computer or do you just go through the wheels USB?
  25. Is there anyway to assign what would the scroll option while in game to a keyboard binding? If so how? If not is there an option I'm not seeing on the keyboard to roll the radio tuners up and down? I'm trying to go mouse-less. Many thanks, Chris
