I've used TM products since the '90s and I must say the WH is well worth the steep price for A10C. So are the MFDs. Its all plug and play and work so great together. (The WH is about 1000 times better than my old cougar.) I use the paddle switch to center TrackIR. And I use the "friction" slider to zoom my view.

To everyone who posted to help my landing probs, thanks again! Did 10 perfect landings by taking your suggestions! Not a single blown out tire!

Thanks all for the comments, I will try to change my ways and report back. Happy New Year and happy flying!

I wonder if this is going to affect future installments by DCS. I sure am looking forward to the next one :)

I have no idea! I come in over 120 knots and BOOM! Drives me crazy, I should be able to land with a load at up to 150 knots. Doesn't matter if I have anti skid on or off, or how slow my sink rate is either. I thought everybody had this problem.

LOMAC gave me so many bad habits! You just can't fly like you did in that sim. I've seen the A10C fly at air shows and it performs very well. You can fly every maneuver realistically as long as your flying clean and with 20% fuel. Also, the C model is meant to engage targets from 10,000 feet plus with the addition of the TGP. Gotta change your style.

Even with every hardware goody available, this is a very difficult sim for me. I still need to use active pause to locate and lock targets and I've blown out hundreds of tires upon landing. My respect for RL pilots quadruples every time I fly!

Wow... thanks for that screen shot! I forgot how awful things used to look.

I mapped centering to the lever switch on the warthog, and it does help. I also found adjusting the seat height helps, too. Its a good thing the seat adjusts! Thanks for that DCS!

I finally implemented the Track IR system into my cockpit. Wow, what a hoot! I never realized how much I've been moving my head while flying sims, though. And since I've been at it since the early 90s, I've got come serious bad habits to break. I never realized I move around so much, I must think I'm really flying because my head and body actually mimic the real life movements I would encounter. Has anyone else had this problem? Even with a huge deadzone I'm always fighting to get recentered. How many hours does it take on average to get acclimated to the Track IR system?

Altitude is everything!

Anyone know of a guide that lays out tactics for when to use what weapon? I've probably shot off a couple of billion dollars in mavericks already and I know that's not the way to go. I try to take out surface to air threats with mavs, drop cluster bombs on groups of trucks and troops, use dumb bombs on bridges and stuff and plink as many tanks with the gun as I can. But is there a reference somewhere that lays out detailed tactics? How do the RL pilots do it?

OMG, after all this time and frustration, its so damn easy! Killed sams and Shilkas all afternoon. Thanks so much! I might actually be ready to start a campaign soon....

Can You Calibrate Warthog?

Thanks for posting the link! Fixed mine today, but had a few issues. Why doesn't step six say "Unplug from USB to save"? Anything to let you know that six was the last step would of helped. And be sure to unzip both files to the same folder. I opened and used the tool without the text file (thought it was a readme... ) Holy crap, totally screwed my stick until I figured out the program needs the info. What a dumb a@@... -
Beautiful! Simply beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks to all, especially to Kylania. Your explanation was clear enough for me and much appreciated! I had previously watched Tigerpwrr's video a few times before but for some reason I needed it spelled out for me. Thanks again and happy hunting!

I find it so very easy to locate and lock targets with the TGP, what a great tool! But I'm lost on how to use the info... how do I get the Mavs to slew to the TGP SPI? Or is it that the system can't do it? If I press china hat forward they slave to the steerpoint. Yes, I read the manual and searched the threads...:(

I was able to use wavepad, a simple .wav editor, to lower the gain of my engine files. I'm very pleased with the results. I can now here all the other mechanical sounds very nicely. It has made my experience with A10C much more enjoyable! I had to drag the files to my desktop, edit them, save them to my desktop and then drag them back to the proper folder. It works for me.

Nice job! Gotta get that little keyboard. Great idea for a UFC!

I need to hear the engines, no doubt. But if you ever try the sim without the engine noise, you'd be amazed by what youre missing. I need to hear the flaps, gear going up and down and especially the speedbrakes. They all sound fantastic without the damn engine droning over them. I don't wear a headset, I'm not gonna fly with earplugs. Why can't the sound files be edited and saved? Anyone know? All I want to do is reduce the engine noise so I can hear the other systems!

Here's mine!
