  1. Why are you downloading the russian manual? when there's already an english version. The 1st picture isn't the manual it's just the pictures for the manual, there's an english version of this as well. There's actually 3-4 manual types but they aren't made for the game they are made for the actually helicopter, so parts of the manual are usful and others aren't and some systems aren't in the game and are just in an auto version of the system.
  2. Maybe, it's correct? Narzi's made stuff too well actually, that it's now a problem these days to keep a plane in the air, their tanks have the same problem as well... parts are made too good. The parts/blocks have such fine tolerances that you can't make parts to fit into the narzi made engines. This causes engines to last much longer and have less problems back in the day, today though it gives the problem of require the old original parts to make engines work again.
  3. I just bought the saitek X-65f joystick yesterday. I bought it so I could use it with Black Shark 1 but I might need to buy Black shark 2 so I have a serial number that will work the BS1 serial is saying it's broken or something so can't play it, not sure if that's due to a GFX card or the stick itself causing the need for a new serial to be needed. For me I find it a shame as I can only use it with the A-10C and I'm not really into the A-10C sim. The center of the stick is probably 0.02mm off the the proper center of the trim squares, you can trim this up if you wanted. I've not really had a proper stick before so the force stick isn't a problem and in fact would probably work better if you have a tight space. How ever seeing as you don't have Black Shark at all, and only have the A-10C then you'd be better to get the warthog stick. The X-65f was a dearer stick for me than the warthog I could have picked either and I might still get a warthog later on down the track just to use for the A10C sim but you need to remember all the switches and stuff are pretty much made for that 1 sim sure you can use it for other stuff but you'll need to program all the switches and buttons for every other program and you might not be up for that. The other problem is I don't think the warthog stick would be suited for the helo sims as you don't have the twist bit on the warthog, the x65f does have the twist for rudders you can select this to be on or off if you do have them. I think the x65f is the best for the helo sims you do have the down side of needing to profile everything but you'd need to do that with warthog as well anyway but for the a10c and the tie fighter games from memory it's just the stick and 2-3 buttons at best the warthog would get you by. Not sure about the rudder pedals I'll probably get some myself but not right now at least I'll just use the stick. The x65f I got seems fine I have it on a desk that has lino office surface on it and the stock rubber corners seem to hold stick and throttle in place fine for me, the stiffness of the throttle seems fine to me, but I do welding and have plenty of forearm strength to shift it around. so have left it at the factory stock tightness, it also doesn't shift. I don't have the metal plate on the x65f stick either and there's no bolts used either you can bolt the stick and the throttle I would suggest if your up for it you might be best to just drill the holes through the desk and just bolt the thing in rather than use bits of Velcro and stuff I haven't used those either by the way. Anyway I think I've gotten the right thing for me for the helo side but I would suggest to get the warthog for the a10c if you use that sim. The Logitech stuff could be good. The CH stuff I didn't bother with as it's probably a bit generic and probably more based towards the flight sim X band wagon, you know for use in Learjets etc.
  4. HA HA, Not really adding much to the convo. But I prefer the KA-50 to the A-10 myself. I find the KA-50 really easy to get started and get going and take stuff out on the other hand the A-10 is a brain drain for me I try to get into it but I end up getting too tired after 10 mins and have to sleep but that could be from 60 hour weeks too and just not enough time to be able to get into it properly. So if it was up to me I'd buy the KA-50 2.
  5. I've only been starting to do some missions in BS, and finding it fairly easy. I'm starting to do up a little campaign I'll see how it goes before I release anything. but overall quite good
  6. Just wondering does the game have the ground units shooting at each other? I'd like to do some missions or even an campaign for BS but just wondering if this happens? If it does could make for an interesting campaign. I see most of the missions are pretty much no friendly units so it's just the BS doing all this stuff with no real help, which wouldn't really happen seeing as the BS is army support.
  7. You'd have to do all the tests in a checklist step by step. If you didn't do that then you'd be kicked out. But I think the training video said once you know what the press and flick then you should be able to start up within 2 mins blindfolded, so it wouldn't take long anyway, as seems to just be start up systems then weapon tracking after that.
  8. I think all of the stuff I've read on this trim thing are wrong, and the way it's meant to be used is generally wrong the manual is kind of right but it doesn't work very well. I think of the trim the same as a boat trim, you steer and power up as you wish and how ever you like but once your at plane (level with water surface) you then use trim to make sure you stay level as waves will try to un-plane it and boat trim is more about holding the plane rather than trying to control stuff for you. I see 3 different ways to fly the KA-50. You use no trim you can fly it but you have to hold the stick at the right place the whole time. With trim there's 2 ways and I guess the Russian description probably doesn't translate very well. The manual says to hold the trim as you move the stick to where you want it you let go of the trim and then centre the stick, this works 1 out of 10 times. I think this is how the trim is meant to be used and it's the same as the boat and I find this works 9 out of 10 times. I will move the stick (say forward 3deg) and hold the stick in that position I will then press and let go the trim button and then let the stick centre itself. I find the trim will hold the KA-50 in forward flight and keep going like that forever. I can pull back on the stick without using the trim, and if I let go of the stick it'll go back the the forward flight which is the point of a trim, you can turn etc without needing to alter the trim. I find if you hold the trim it doesn't get set into the right position. I can take off go into forward flight pull up hold hover without the autopilot and can side step etc using the trim makes things real easy but it doesn't seem to have been explained properly but I think that's due to the translation. Once I got this it was very easy to fly it.
  9. Going by the company website the KA-50 can land and fly from a ship, a frigate I think, but they aren't really meant for that. I think the idea behind this, was simply to allow the KA-50 be able to supply/repair from a ship if really needed and then be able to head off to a land base to get stuff done properly. I guess this idea comes from being able to fly to Alaska and then attack stuff then re-supply from ship and then attack more stuff. The KA-50 I think has some pretty good navy ability really handles winds up to 5-7klm while landing on a ship on the stock model without any changes from the factory.
