I now have DCS Flaming Cliffs 3 up and running and have developed my own HOTAS Cougar profile for the F-15C using only the DX key mapping from within the sim. I even surprised myself when I figured out how to use the S3 pinky button as a modifier shift button to create an additional layer of button functions.  Below are a few screenshots of the much improved FC3 F-15C: Now on to the HOTAS Cougar DX key mapping for the DCS P-51D, which BTW is a just a dream to fly. 8)

All three of my HOTAS Cougar that were for sale have SOLD, so I am currently out of stock. This HOTAS Cougar is in excellent, original working condition. The potentiometers, springs, gimbals, buttons, switches, hats, etc. are all functioning properly and it has been thoroughly tested with the latest firmware and software available on PC's with either a Windows XP 32 bit or a Windows 7 64 bit Operating System. This package includes the HOTAS Cougar, the original Thrustmaster Manual, Referernce Book and installation CD as well as another CD with all the latest HOTAS Cougar Firmware, Software and Manuals including a New Users Guide by Dr. James "Nutty" Hallows. The extra CD contains both the latest installation software for Windows 32 bit and 64 bit Operating Systems and a Word document with links to websites with installation instructions and other useful information. Neither the original ThrustMaster box nor the copy of Falcon 4.0 Allied Force shown in the photos are included in this sale. In summary this is an excellent, well tested, fully functional HOTAS Cougar and as the photos shown at the following link demonstrate it is very clean and blemish free. If you are interested or have any questions please PM me. Thanks, Mike http://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?8621-My-HOTAS-Cougar-Auction-on-Ebay&p=106630#post106630

Deadman, Yeh, I'm kind of over Cougar'd at the moment. Besides in my Uber2 I've got Cubby's Hall sensors in both my personal Cougar throttles and my Thrustmaster RCS. I've had one of my Cougars since 2002 when they first came out and have picked up the others whenever I have run across a good deal on one. In the last few months I've bought and sold three unmodded Cougars besides the two unmodded ones that I still currently have. I also picked up a broken Cougar for parts, so I didn't count that one. Oh, and I also have a brand new never been used Cougar throttle that I bought cheap. My wife says that I have acute Cougaritis. I hope it's not terminal. :D Mike

Deadman, I have 2 Cougars that I use personally, one with the FCC-1 mod and one with the Uber2 NXT mod and they are quite envious of my now beautifully covered Warthog. :joystick: I also have a third unmodded Cougar that you saw on Ebay for sale that will be shipped out Thursday to some lucky buyer and a fourth unmodded one in "mint" condition that I'll probably also sell sometime in the near future. Mike

Deadman, My Warthog is all snuggly warm in its new covers this afternoon, but my poor Cougars are shivering with envy. :smilewink: Thanks for a great job. Mike

Thanks Deadman, I thought being a tailor like you are, it was some sort of fabric cover. My "Bad". Mike

What exactly is the "back plate" that you are cutting to the real dimensions? Mike

SOLD - FOR SALE: TM HOTAS Cougar and Rudder Control System (RCS) I am selling one of my ThrustMaster HOTAS Cougars, serial #5038, and Rudder Control Systems as a set. Both this HOTAS Cougar and RCS are in excellent, original working condition. The potentiometers, springs, gimbals, buttons, switches, hats, etc. are all functioning perfectly and I have been using them for several months as I modified two other Cougars to the Uber2 NXT and FCC configurations respectively. I’ve attached some photos below that show their current appearance. They do have an external mark or two from use, but I would say their cosmetic appearance is very good to excellent. This package will include the HOTAS Cougar, the RCS and a CD with all the latest HOTAS Cougar Firmware, Software and Manuals. The CD will include both the latest installation software for 32 bit and 64 bit systems and a Word document with links to websites with installation instructions and other useful information. Currently HOTAS Cougars are selling on the internet and Ebay for anywhere from $300 to $500 depending on their condition and RCS’s are selling for $50 to $100. Both are getting more and more difficult to find. I am asking $400 plus shipping for this set. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask either publicly or privately. Thanks, Mike

Greg, I might be interested in these. How did you capture the MFD images from the sim onto them and would it work on both DCS A-10C and BMS 4.32? Mike
-
Cubby, That's a very clever approach. Isn't PVC pipe great for DIY projects? Mike
