Just tried it again and it is working. Sound output to headset only.

Hi, he said to check the sound output on the streamer which I did but I dont think it solved it. Looks like I have to make it part of my pre-flight check list.

Hi, when I launch virtual Desktop Windows disconnects ALL sound output. Quit VD and the old default is back and working. Any ideas?

Hi Miles, thanks for the help you gave me last year. I thought something like this was going on as you were always on your Discord channel. Get well and I hope things improve a lot for you and i think it would be great if you could licence PointCTRL and maybe the version3 you were working on.

My set up is rj45 on motherboard- cat8 cable-adapter-3.2 usb cable-quest3. VD is installed and running on headset. Virtual streamer installed and running on computer. Streamer reports no ethernet connection , computer not found and reports error- profile set as public. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the rj45 driver and have run out of ideas. Thanks for your help Do I need to buy a router anyway?

Does anyone have any ideas or should I send the stuff back and use a router.

for info VD streamer says not Ethernet connected, no computer found, profile need to be private. windows sees the Ethernet port but will not change to private setting regedit fix tried but failed.

Getting a bit fed up with it. do I need the developer account to make it work? I am sure a youtube guy didnt mention it.

I didnt set the developer account in the link app so I will give that a go I dont have a developer account option..

Well there is about £400 difference (bigger than I first thought) I can buy a second hand 4090 for about £1800 (yes it is expensive but available) but I can trade in my 3090 for £550, used 58003d for £320 with £140 for my 5900x and both will have a 5 year guarantee as opposed to £250 for a mb, £550 for a 98003d plus another £200 for ram which is cheaper but not sure that it would be better.
