How do I set the throttle to automatic?

I just picked this game up in the steam sale (I've played warthog) and have a couple questions. 1. Are there actual training missions? Instead of just videos 2. Are throttle and collective incremental? Seeing as they are set to buttons and the game won't accept my throttle stick as a button

what things would I need to set up myself?

Does that do everything required to fly a proper mission?

Is there a way to have the startup procedure done for you and you start at the ramp? I like taxiing to the runway but I always mess up the startup.

If I have the game through steam does it auto implement these patches?

I follow the startup procedure in the ingame tutorial video but EAC never stays on so I can't use the auto pilot. Is there something that isn't in the video that I need to do?

Hmm... I'm fairly sure the flight manual said VHF... maybe I read it wrongly

How do you contact your wingmen? In the mission "Surrounded!" I have one but when I turn the radio to FM (LCtrl + NumPad -) and left everything else as default. The wingman section still blacked out on the menu screen.

I want to get some sort of head tracking but don't really want to drop $150 in TrackIR 5. Is freetrack any good? I would try it but I currently don't have a webcam

I was wondering if anyone could tell me which of the default missions you would rate as easy (besides shooting gallery and sitting ducks) which you would rate as moderate and which you would rate as hard. Thanks

It feels weird to end a mission in mid air though, I always attempt to land and taxi to a parking area

I currently go to the DSMS page, don't select anything, go to profiles page use the rocker to go to GBU-12, thats how I've always been doing it

that indeed was the problem, but my problem with only the right GBU-12 accepting the profile changes is still occuring :(

Huh this is weird, I set the main profile of GBU-12's to CCRP, auto lase on, las time of 2 sec and save but when I select one of my GBU-12's none of those settings where on it, even still when I changed those settings it still missed

I set it to 2 because the plane starts at 1880 altitude

I have auto lase on, still missing however I'm not seeing the flashing L mentioned by Viper

I'm not sure, how do I check? Sorry I'm really new to this game

I use the exact same procedure for the GBU-38's and it works fine for them

I'm setting the point on the bunker and holding LCtrl + Up arrow if thats what you mean

I can't seem to hit anything with the GBU-12's I was doing the river raider mission and used CCRP to launch a GBU-12 at the first bunker using the instructions given in the training mission and the bomb always hits way out from the bunker. I'm using the laser with point tracking mode. Am I doing something wrong?

Where can I get the manual? I got the game off steam and there isn't a manual button for it

I just got this game (yesterday) and I've been working my way through the training missions. Where should I go after finishing them? I'm not very good at each thing after the training so in what way should I practice?
