  1. Thanks for all your responses. However, I am aware of GBUs radius deviation and problem of making SPI and markpoints. What I ment is that I doing it for a long time just by the same way (without lasing the target in case of JDAMs) and it worked perfectly. But since last updates the jdams seems to me more inaccurate (more realistic but more inaccurate compared to the previous state). So I am just asking if somebody noticed this difference too (within the game - I am not talking about real life scenarios right now). THX
  2. Hi Guys, i didnt play this game for a while but since last updates it seems to me that accuracy of jdams is worse. Util than i was able to directly hit tanks almost always. But now in most cases the jdam hit ground just few meters from target (like 2-6m). I just wonder if it is intencional update of behavior of jadams or if it is some kind of bug. Thx for answers (sorry for my english)
  3. 1. I have not tried it yet. 2. I have noticed a few interesting things (tested on test track under same conditions). a) MANPADS always attacked me at the same time regardless of whether I drop flares or not (I tried multiple program setting, dive angles, altitudes ect. I even tried simple flyby over MANPADS). So I believe that this strategy can be used only in real life but it is useless in DCS. b) I believe that this is caused by my lack of skill but I was not able to shook off the missile even once after MANPADS fired at me. I tried everything, different manuevers, different flare programs but without any success. No matter how many flares I dropped :-D c) Strafing from high altitudes was fine againts unarmored targets (trucks), but useless againts IFVs or tanks. I believe it can be caused by my lamenes (lack of accuracy) :-D

  5. Hi guys, I have two questions: 1 - Is there any posibility to find exact position of SAM site by using only onboard instruments without help from any other unit or cheating? If I am right than you know only type of threat and direction from your position. But It is obvious that AI pilots know exact location. 2 - How to avoid MANPADS? I know that the best option is to perform attack from high altitude, but this is not always the option. Sometimes you have to perform gun run without knowing if there is any MANPADS. But when I am in the middle of the dive I dont have enought time to perform any maneuvers to avoid missile. I manage to drop only few flares and I am hit by then. What is the strategy in this situation? Sorry for my english
  6. Hi, I have two questions. 1. Who decides on the aircraft armament before real mission starts? Is it pilot, ground support staff or somebody else? 2. How often are used guided bombs compared to their unguided variants during the real combat missions? Because on the most videos from the battle zones I see only GBUs. What is the ratio? THX
  7. Pretty videos showing explosion above ground (GBU-39). Fragmentation can be seen as well. It would be nice to have them both in DCS World - proper fuzing and GBU-39.

  10. UTM co-ordinates = red triangle = target; Red triangle signalize that you are recieved target coordinates through the data link. JTAC unit can send to you coordinates through data link only in case that is equiped by EPLRS. If JTAC unit is for example soldier, he has not EPLRS so he can tell you only UTM coordinates. Simply he is not equiped by device which enables to him to send to you coordinates directly. So UTM coordinates are more "universal" because you dont have to rely on datalink.
  11. First post updated - voice over version repaired - no more crashes - crashes were caused by conflict between build in AFAC communication and "sound to" function ;-)
  12. I will try fix the voice over version. Yoi were pretty close to the end if you mean armored colums after destroying enemy HQ. There are actualy 3 columns and after destroying 3rd one you are cleared to RTB

  16. I agree, but i belive that even (especially in real life!!!) in real life there is a lot of complicated situations and there is no advanced JTAC unit in some cases. Simply few soldiers need help and know probable lacation of enemy. Something like "norh in the tree line" thats all. Because enemy can change position and is hidden in trees - so pilot have do the work and locate exact position (or bomb all that tree line area). Pilot is still "just" a soldier but he is not "dumb puppet" he has to make some decisions and have to think. Pilots even have to think and making decisions within fraction of seconds. Text messages are definetely not ideal but as i mentioned i am not able to do voice overs. Yes testing is hard especially timming in my case. When pilot has limited time to do something because as a mission builder i know exact location of enemy so i dont need that much time.
  17. Hi, sgibson. The message which you mentioned is only informative that convoy is closing to MP (meeting point). And in that message is not mentioned any order to attack anything. The MP is of course protected by frendlies ground units (including infantry on roofs). You are not suppose to attack MP. You are not suppose to attack anything until somebody directly tell you to do so. SPOILER You have to read radio messages closely :-). In case of second ambush the radio message from Star 1-1 clearly says to you that there are 3 IFVs behind them and following them => they are behind them !! the friendly Bradley which you attacked is located in oposite direction and not following anything. And the X is not target mark :-) it is marking friendly unit equiped by EPLRS in order to prevent friendly fire (paradoxically).

Attended by locals and our representative general Peret. General will arrive to Lochini airport in his C130. After that his convoy (Star 1-1) will go towards meeting point (MP) located in Tbilisi. Your task is to protect Star 1-1 and provide CAS in Tbilisi area if needed. OBJECTIVE 1. Take off from Vaziani at 0700 (ramp) 2. Fly to IP 3. Recieve orders from Star 1-1 4. Follow orders 5. Wait for clearence to RTB (clearence in radio message not that from AFAC/JTAC) 6.   19. My new mission "The Summit in Tbilisi" is comming soon (95% done). But I have a question for you guys. Is here anybody who want to help me with voice overs? Because in the mission there is a lot of radio messages which are crucial and I dont know how to do voice overs and I am not confident with my english. So i need somebody who is able to do them and who can do some testing flights of my mission before i release it (i am testing it but i need opinion from diferent angle). Maybe some language correction would be handy too. :)
