  1. I too vote for a dynamic campagin... but i have done some research on Falcon BMS/Falcon 4.0 with it's DC and i have to say that it's far from easy to make a true realtime DC. It's not only so simple to have side A go against B. The hardest would be to make all those flightplans, logical movement of units in relation to everything else, mission planning and unit coordination. And if you have limited radar ranges you'll also have to make logical patrol routes and issue strike forces upon enemy detection. You'd have to priorize targets depending on what is the highest threat. You'd also have some sort of unit/troop supply. And i'm very sure that's only a fraction of stuff what needs to be done. All in all this isn't something that is done in short time. Even if ED plans to make a full realtime DC it would take very much time to make. If ED can pull it off it sure would be a dream come true.
  2. *Hahaha* Every time i see the Corsair i'm reminded about a TV-series i saw in my youth. Anyone know the series "Black Sheep Squadron"? :D I loved those bend Wings on those planes :pilotfly:
  3. I have a X65f and have stepped on similar problems. I'm not able to map the zoom funktion. I put zoom in and out on keyboard keys and mapped them in the SST profile to the joystick wheel. Doesn't even work a small tiny bit. But pressing the keyboard keys works...that confused me. And maybe i'm the only one here but i had to map the engine throttle to keys and map them to the X65f because the game itself had problems with it. Most things i really have to programm in the SST software because the game itself seems to not support it by itself properly. So far the only 2 things i couldn't map is the ministick for viewing around...basicly because there is no mous look inside the game. And the second is the zooming. This is why i bought a TrackIR 5 system. In the end it was a very good decision that made many things much easier
  4. Why not build in a failure % for every system and if you do the preflight test you'll reduce that kind of failures by some random % chance. Haven't experienced any failures other than my own atm. because i'm rather new to the DCS series. So i don't really know what is possible in the current system and what not.
  5. For the ME-109 i would say yes but the FW is more advanced and is far superiour to the ME-109 as far as my informations go. Even the Supermarine Spitfire IX had to be upgraded to go toe to toe with the FW as far as i know. And thus i suppose the P-51D would be inferior. I'm not the biggest fan of German Aircraft but during WW2 they have been serious opponents. If ED makes those into the DCS series we could find out. :D
  6. Wish i had that experience and confidence regarding my flying abilities :D
  7. I have played many Simulators up till A10c with my old joystick (Cyborg X). But given the gigantic amount of stuff you have in A10c in full realism i switched to my new saitek X65f hotas, and even bought their combat pedals and a TrackIR 5. From this point on it has gotten much easier do to everything. Although even with such an equipment it isn't easy to make AAR's. From what i've heared it's the most difficult or atleast one of those things that make you count towards an elite pilot. It's like a master grade that not every Real Life Pilot can do. No one can expect to master a combat plane in mere hours with everything that goes. Do you know how many hours it takes until you are able to handle a mere Cessna from scratch. And this is a simple civilian plane. Athough one of my most loved Sims, Falcon 4.0/AF/BMS was somewhat easier than A10c in many aspects and that's why i love A10c. I want 100% realism in every bit of it. It takes longer to achieve somethinig but it's far more worth if you finaly manage to do it. It's really something where you are proud of every bit you achieve where you had to struggle hard.
  8. If so then i'd have to suggest the Spitfire LF IX as worthy counterpart :D
  9. After the Mustang i would like to see the Major Aircraft of other Nations from WWII. Would be nice to make Missions for those and for every craft you need an equal Enemy :D 1.) Supermarine Spitfire IX (GBR) 2.) A6M Zero (JAP) 3.) ME BF 109 (GER) 4.) Yak-3 (RUS) 5.) VG-33 (FRA)
  10. Yeah i know. Sadly it's UBI's call. If by BMS your talking about the Falcon 4.0 BMS then yes i have it and even FreeFalcon 5.5.5. Oh well. Im a nerd if it comes to realistic combat simulations and i love their Dynamic Campaign
  11. Hmm..Let's say i hope that FC3 won't have this need. I just see Problems for future players that could have problems of even getting the old LOMAC title.
  12. Does anyone know where to get a dowload Version of LOMAC? Seems as if it's the only thing i can't find and i need it for FC2  Not even UBISOFT seems to sell it on their site. Seems in the Future i guess it will also be needed to upgrade up till FC3. A bit unpracticle to have FC2 need LOMAC as "needed" installation.
  13. Thanks alot for the info :) Atleast FC2 will also be upgraded. Then i can go ahead an buy FC2. Have been afraid that FC2 would be useless in the future. Well i don't really know how costly it would be to make a realtime DC but coding takes a great deal of time where even the smallest change is time consuming. In this case i assume that it sure isn't cheap because that's no a small feature but more like a complete new DCS model. If a step by step integration is better then be it so. I just thought that by doing it as one package it could atleast return money for it's production while a step by step addition costs time without benefit for ED from it rather than a hopefull interesst in a new plane with a couple of additions that could be bought but is rather unsure. Oh well. I'm not really into the buisness and i suppose that ED knows what they are doing :)
  14. Making a DC sure is costly but how about making it as a global DCS Addon that can be sold seperatly? The way you'll get your money and the players get something they are looking for. I assume by the lenght of this posting it get's more and more viable to make a DC. Maybe it would be even a great benefit to have a global DC modul that can be expanded, ties into all DCS and upcoming craft and get's even more theaters over time. Well done it sure can be a huge benefit to DCS and ED because of even more flexebility.
  15. That's true. I'm very new here but after flying and using the A10 i really was impressed about the detail you put into this machine and the overall game. I haven't followed every improvement on A-10 but i really hope you make a dynamic campaign similar to Falcon 4.0. I still play FreeFalcon and BMS. Those are modded versions of Falcon 4.0 and the work on them is impressive. Imho the simulated aircraft would come even more to life if you have a fully dynamic capaign. It's one side of the coin to fully simulate an aircraft and the other to also use it under "near" real life conditions over an area where situations can change permanently and where you have countless units on both sides. The interessting thing about the dynamic campaign from Falcon was that you couldn't be everywhere at the same time, you had limited resources in the air and you had fight for survival if enemy squadrons crossed your path. There was no hand holding like in most linear games. I also never seen any other game besides falcon where you had mission to transfer your squadron to a frontline base. Also in no game up til now i had the feeling that i'm in the middle of a big war. And i have the impression that your wonderfull simulated aircraft could show their full beauty and potential in a dynamic ever changing campaign. As a proposal it would be really fantasic to have different flavoured theaters like WWII era and Modern Day era. Wouldn't it be funny to fly an A-10 or F16 in a WWII scenario or the Mustang in modern day combat? If you could choose what aircraft to fly and choose it's armament in such environment...that would be really be a dream come true. Or atleast the first game after over a decade to have fully simulated aircraft and dynamic campaigns....priceless ;)
