  1. Hey Guys,

Iam busy making a joystick with a multiple directional button witch i want to install as a POV switch.

But i was wondering how come some joysticks has this pov feature assinged automatically to the m.direct. switch? I have tested diffrent joysticks and some of them didnt even had software installed only the drivers but still the pov feature was assigned automatically to the right button. How is this possible and how can i do it with my Homemade Joystick?

  2. I have a CH Fighterstick grip on it. I want to keep the WH HOTAS for use as an A10 stick if I ever get back into that.

Checking my rewire and tidy up later on tonight. Still not sure about the lower FFB working right....

Why are you not sure of your lower mechanism ?

  3. Currently if you have a 8way hat switch theres no option in the controls list where you could make the shkval move up left, up right, down left, down right simultaneously. It can be done with the keyboard or a 4way hat switch, but it doesnt work with an 8way hat.

Ah, perhaps I can do it by going into Advanced and setting two keys per direction there.

Did this worked for you Doveman ?

Does the game support this diagonal movement for the skaval with commands?

  5. Hello Clyber.

Yes, correct. The "Finished" trigger is put together with rivetts. It was modify 5 or 6 times and I got tirred of cutting new ones, so the offset was a result of using rivetts to save time. After seeing the fit I realized It needed to be in the design.

The above trigger is Version 2 With changes to the design. I hope Improvments, but will have to wait untill its finished.

The original is holding out fine, and due to not having enuff time in a day to work on my pit , this project is in slow mode.

Good news is the pit is looking good, and I will finish it one day.

Good to see your enthusium in the KA-50

Still strugglin with the trigger mechanism but iam almost there.

  6. Grip is wired. switches working ,diodes are in. Windows test next. Brake is giving Me trouble. Wasted half day going in circles. 17 wires needed so far. Brake, axies to be added for 24 wires total.picture.php?albumid=730&pictureid=5159

Did you made the Big round black hatswitch button by your self? How did you do it ?

How did you do the windows test after wiring ? Did you use a interface card ?

  7. Why do you need exact the same rubber boot ? Iam sure you can find another that fit as good as any other. Just improvise. At the moment iam busy with my cyclic grip. After that iam going for the 2 mssff configuration.Keep me updated and good luck.

Good luck.

  8. OK, I just got my second msffb2 and ordered at Conrad the engine mount's. Now and then I will work on this wonderful stick if I have some spare time.

I was wondering from which car the "CV joint rubber boot" is.

    Ciao,

Here are some dimensions for the top of the cyclic.

Note; The front and rear faces are parallel to each other with a 2 5/8" space between them .

The top alone, was made and then attached with glue to the top of the stick. It is basicaly square , but its mounted tipped fwd. down and twissted to the right. All of the transisioning is part of the stick top and epoxy.

    Heres one more http://s29.postimg.org/st0zrm847/image3085.png

Thank you very much this helps alot. At this point iam busy gathering the matherials and tools to get started but iam also still compairing the dimensions of the real triggerblock. The real pics you send me are nice but they where taken from a tricky angle so its hard to estimate the dimensions. But ill get there. Ill send you pics of my progress. Thx for your help.

  10. Mssffb2

Try this version and let me know how it goes. First, try it without launching DCS.

If it doesn't work as expected, make a video using simffb so I can understand the problem.

    Average,

I might need your help on this ff problem. The joystick it self seem to work okey.. but when i hit the trim button the joystick pulls to anither direction mostly to the right under.

First ill try your utility and ill get back to you.

  11. Hello Terrorvogel,

Till now everything i had configured regarding Dcs works in Windows 8. I mean EMC, Helios, Warthog Hotas, CHRudder everything works fine. I just received my Mssffb i,ve tested it and it seem to work eventhough there are no drivers and software available. Software isnt a problem i can attach the stick to a Interface card and get it programmed. It just needs to be recognized by the system and mine does. The Trim feature does his own thing. Iam waiting for my second Mssffb Joystick for better troubleshooting.

PeterP can you asisst here before i open the Joysticks ?

Are you sure you don't mean the Cyclic Mold Stonehard?

Here is the 1:1 JPG file for rough cutting the foam plug:

And here is the same in PDF format (printers generally don't consider scale when printing JPG files):

And some pics from when I made the plug for my Cyclic:

Trigger, do you have the dimensions of the topbox?

  13. diffrent

picture.php?albumid=725&pictureid=5146HERE is how the weapons trigger is offset. With 2 scrapes of the same material as the trigger placed on either side of the offset in a vice squeeze real hard. there is a 1/4-3/8" gap between the 2 pieces of scrap. this is where the offset will transition.I used tape to mark the bend.

The end result doesnt look like what you did here on this picture. Here the plate is bended. But at the end result two pates were nailed together. Have you changed the bending idea and used nails instead ?
