Beta? Nowhere was I informed that this was a beta when downloading and installing it. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?ProductId=21&end_pos=137&scr=product&lang=en 1.2.xxx doesn't sound like beta revision either. :huh: A Beta should be part of the name of the download as a postfix, and mentioned clearly on announcements and on download page. Also launching DCS World the product name doesn't have Beta mentioned anywhere. "Version 1.2.3205" I guess you decided to downgrade it from Release to Beta now?

Ok then, why would you repeat something that isn't true? Fixed it's not if clients are still stuck with it. Something fixed just on a developers/testers machine is NOT fixed for a customer... is that so hard to comprehend?

Well this is a pretty catastrophic failure for something that's mostly an MP sim. I think they should get on it and provide a hotfix ASAP. People paid good money for this... s*** happens, but you're supposed to respond in accordance to urgency.

Doesn't work, problem is back today. Reinstall of DCS World and 2010 redist does not help. So, what are we paying for here? Where is the hotfix if someone fixed the issue already?! Can't play any multiplayer during this, connecting by IP also fails.

Yes it's DCS and their World server. I was on yesterday and at the exact same time me and a fried got the issue. It then went away about 5 minutes later. It's DCS crashing itself out via the web basically. :p

Also having this issue and the work around of clicking on LAN works only up to a point. Still can't connect by IP. Issue came up specifically after enabling Aero setting then disabling it, and crashing when alt-tabbing. Wow, that's another thing that should be fixed (alt-tab) The VC redistributable is fine on my system, it's DCS that's the problem.

Exporting various devices to an external monitor has been documented for BS2 a few times, such as here http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1322545&postcount=25 However it did not work for BS1. Finally I figured out why and here is how you can do it as well in case you still use BS1. Follow the MonitorSetup/*.lua instructions as per the post linked above to define for example Shkval = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 662; height = 480; } ABRIS = { x = 662; y = 0; width = 618; height = 800; } PVI = { x = 0; y = 481; width = 224; height = 75; } UV_26 = { x = 225; y = 481; width = 220; height = 110; } EKRAN = { x = 0; y = 591; width = 235; height = 80; } (plz note UV_26) Then replace the 3 files attached for UV 26, Ekran, and PVI Basically BS2 uses an external script file under Aircrafts/_common/Cockpit/ViewportHandling.lua but BS1 doesn't have it. So dofile(LockOn_Options.common_script_path.."ViewportHandling.lua") would not work. Instead I merged the necessary script from the Shkval setup to each of the device setups directly so it will work for you. You can do the same for the PVI 800 and any other devices... (I was too lazy to move it to a modified ViewportHandling.lua file) :) PVI_init.lua Ekran_init.lua UV_26_init.lua

What do you think the thread is for then, and still active? Why I am configging BS1 as opposed to BS2 is none of your concern, BS1 is on sale today officially, and the patch is the latest one.

What the heck are you talking about? I'm talking about BS1 patch 1.0.2. It's not user error, everyone knows that your settings are lost with this patch, they changed folder paths, exe names, config file layouts, everything. None of the old tweaks are working anymore, old apps like DCSmax don't work, SoftTh presents a black skybox. If you want to discuss BS2 do it in another thread.

I don't understand how this is deemed an acceptable patch. I lost all my settings by patching to 1.0.2. and it's not like this is an update from another major version like 0.9.0... seriously disappointing, not what you expect from any professional company in the software business today.

Having the same issue here, upgraded to latest Track IR software/driver. Other titles work, but BS 2 (upgrade) is not recognized. Only one LED is on (Means game not recognized) and "Title" in TrackIR is not recognized. Blackshark profile is in TrackIR software. Edit: After the track IR software update I also updated the game list and that seems to have resolved the issue. The second green light comes on when in controls menu or in mission, and TrackIr is working. Sorry Cali.
