Hi, After cloning my ssd with OS Windows 10 to new M2 nvme, DCS and MSFS2020 work as they are on their own ssd. But there is one problem. With my previous cpu i7-7700 I had no issues with my Reverb G2 I had about 30+ FPS. 1. After changing to i7-13700 my VR frame rates are now strangely below 20 ! No settings have been changed. Is it possible that Window 10 is not working well with the new cpu? If I am not in VR, frames are about 70. Any suggestions? 2. Want to migrate to W11 but have to install from scratch as my system is not able to enable secure boot (Asus says it is not working because previous OS had been be installed in legacy mode!) The only solution is to install W11 from scratch. 3. Before doing this I have seen on forums that Reverb G2 has problems with Windows Mixed Reality. But what worries me most is point 1 above with low framerates. 4. What are your suggestions and steps to do if I install W11 from scratch but have DCS and MSFS2020 both on separate ssd. Thanks for your reply. DCS Is on it's own SSD and the user data folder Is on drive C where my window 10 Is. I want ti change to W 11 because went from Intel i-7 7700k to 13700k with more core, etc. But If you Say Not to change I leave It as is

Want to upgrade to new motherboard 13th gen with ddr5 and cpu. Have dcs on a separate ssd and window 10 also on separate ssd. So maybe fresh new install is not necessary? Eventually put window 10 on M2 drive instead of ssd. Does this make a difference? And if it is window 11 ? Do I have to do something more than saving user files? Thanks for your help

Hi Have donloaded Sim Shaker for Aviators version 2.6.0.0 and SimShaker Sound Module latest versions (2.32) When I Test Jet Seat Gametrix or Sound Module it does not vibrate. In the Sound Module I can see the green bar but no vibration. I tried with and without DCS running. Jet Seat gametrix is set to USB and there clicking Test all 6 motors respond, as well as massage App. All the settiongs are standard set at 50. The Speakers are set to Realtek High Definition Audio

Thanks, I have created a recenter button. 1.The problem is that it starts normally and if selecting for example a "free flight" it starts downloading but the download bar stops at about 75%. Sometimes it finished downloading very slowly. It takes at least 4 minutes, but sometimes it remains stuck... 2. In VR with Reverb G2 it opens Windows Mixed Reality and then also it takes a lot of time. I can see 2 loading bars at the same time flickering and shaking, then it opens.. is this normal ? Maybe one loading bar for the desktop and one for the headset ?

Starting dcs in vr (Reverb g2) my screen is displaced in the hangar. Do not knowchow to revert to normal vr screen

To Mars Exculte. On USB C IT works but distorted cannot read it is very bad and on powered hub or not powered hub it has an error 0x80040209 device No timesync data or it says 800402 e device transfer error and is not lighting up except on C

To all of you: the new v2 cable solved the problem. IT worked even with USB C port which was not recognized with the old original cable.

Finally the new cable solved the problem. The V2 cable worked even with usb cport which the reverb g2 could not detected with the original cable

Thank all for replying. I think it is the cable. I ordered the new type V2 from amazon. Quiet expensive $ 159. I'll post on this forum if the new cable solved or not the problem. Nevertheless I have seen in DEVICE MANAGER hidden file that The G2 has a Device error 0x8004020 E DEVICE USB SPEED TOO SLOW. i hope it is not a dying Motherboard or Processor or the Mask itself. What are your thoughts?

So I bought a new one the G2 V2 cable on amazon ($159) and I'll post back to this forum if it works or not, Nevertheless I have seen in DEVICE MANAGER when right clicking on the Reverb G2 (hidden files) that although it says device is working properly it shows an error: E DEVICE USB SPEED TOO LOW DEVICE error 0x80040203. Hope it is not a dying motherboard or processor? What is your guess?

Suddenly no screen, the HP Logo is not lighting up but on Device Manager (in hidden) it shows the device and says it is working properly. The Link Box white pilot light is on. Wanted to go to HP support but cannot find any G2 Support page... Could it be the power adapter even if Link Box light is on? or is the cable bad ? Should I buy the newer cable and Link box? Is there a shorter cable than 6 m? Could not see anything wrong. Has Someone any idea? Am in the Dominican Republic there is no shop or friend with a G2. PLEASE HELP.

Have exactly the same "Critical error" issue. No overclocked 2080ti and 7700k. Simply doing an instant action air to air with f5 starts the issue about 10 minutes in game with a Cracking of sound and some short graphic issue then the error appears. What should I do?

I am an owner of Rift S. As I heard only positive reviews about the G2 especially concerning sharpness of image I bought one and compared the two. (I am not considering price and Facebook..) Rift S + 1. Easier to set up nothing to tweak around. 2. Much better sweet spot. Just put it on and it is ok. You can look at the Hud and without moving the head you can glimpse and read an instrument. 3. Average temperature in gaming (I am in a tropical country) 55°C. Reverb G 2 + 1. A little Lighter to wear but must be adjuste correctly 2. Better sharpness - disadvantage 1. Must find correct settings, much to download 2. Sweet spot small. Not possible to read an instrument without moving the head and looking at it. 3. Average temperature 80-84°C with same setting as Rift ! 4. Lighting in play room must be right, not to light not to dark- very sensitive in this respect. Observations The FOV difference is minimal Before installing steam VR, mixed reality, steam, Window MR for Steam, all needed for the Reverb G2, I have the impression that the Rift S was better in sharpness. Maybe those downloads interfere... Considering the above points I think Oculus Rift S is better if fitted with a Seenheiser sound kit upgrade. My ipd about 60.4 1-7 7700 not overclocked, 32 RAM, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080TI

Thanks Flappie and Bignewy I have cleaned my corsair I 860. It (This was suggested by DCS) wasn't dirty at all. Installing it with all cables, then the issue resolved, No more crashes. DCS said also to lower 50-100 MHz the Core Clock as in Window Event viewer I had Kernel power errors.. Then I looked at my rtx 2080 ti which is factory overclocked and I set through Mis Afterburner a lower core clock by 57 MHzMy Gpu temps are about 83-84 Centigrade (I am in a tropical climate). Then I tried to switch again back to my oculus Rift S where I see that my termps are no more than 55C. So I do not understand this great difference between Rift S and Reverb G2. Both are set to 100% per eye resolution. There is only about 1 degree lower temps with 56MHz less Core Clock. Any ideas?

Thanks Bignewy, As said there are no log files nor crash files probably because the system can't record anything as the game cannot start. Maybe my corsair 860i has not enough power. I cleaned it but it did not need it. My graphic is a fabric overclocked gigabyte 2080 ti.

When this happens no crash files are written therefore I cannot post them. Made the long repair and it remains with the same issue. Have only followed Thud's VR4DCS and downloaded Shader settings. DCS told me to change the DCS folder in Saved Games to Temp. This resolved the first problem I had that it did not load. The small DCS logo at startup became completely black. After doing this change with the TEMP it loads the game e.g. free flight but before I can click fly the computer stops and reboots. Note that this does not happen with other games as Sturmovik or Aerofly Any help is appreciated

Hi, Want to enable reprojection. Therefore I need to change some settings in Program Files (x86)>steam>steamapps>common, see only 2 files eg: Steam VR and DreamWorks Shared! There should also be: >MixedRealityDriver> Resources>Settings. Therefore I cannot enable Reprojection and make the correction with notepad++.

i7700k not overclocked, 32 memory, 2080 ti Not found out yet best way to start DCS for G2. Loading the game it stutters a lot, then once opened it is ok, but a) I find clarity less good than oculus rift S, it is a little a foggy picture. b) Sweet spot is smaller than Rift S c) Have not found how to reset view (Have made sitting setup only) Comparing it with the Rift S I could not say that Reverb G2 is better.... any idea ?
