If you clicked that link for Half Life on Steam, and logged in, Change your password now.
The Link was to a fake Steam site, therefore it was most likely a phishing site.
the link was disguised as SteamPowered.com, however it is really says Stearn (STEARN)

Some of those models are pretty nice. The C17 is particularly good.
The C-17 was done for ED/DCS.
Like I Said, they've been Dealt with Before, for that C-17:
http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=41208
And this was the end of the C17:
This model was originally created for ED purposes, but unfortunately we were unable to find a compromise on the issue of transfer exclusive Rights on this model.Valery Still posts here, havent seen anything by sds since 2011.

Make sure the Activation Box says P-51 in the title bar,
also make sure you are entering the whole license key, some people had that issue, they'd click "View CD Key" and type in the number, but it goes past the end of the CD Key Window,
Copy CD key to Clipboard, then Paste usually works better.

Im pretty sure they've dealt with them already

I am confused; can anyone tell me which product will be developed by ED and not third party?
It still looks like third party developers are not as skillful as ED developers are, even taking look on cockpit of Mi-8 or Mig-21 they look like cartoon, colors are not real, panels look like from flanker or LOMAC, 3 D models are less alive then is cockpit and 3 d model of A-10C, with more angulated edges, And if this minor things are not well worked-through then how can we be sure that flight physics will be. So can you guys tell me which product is developed next by ED itself?
I dont see where you see "cartoonish" in these renders:
-
the button that says:
PAUSE
---------
BREAK
?

Nope, what he means is;
well that too, i figured everyone saw that already.
-
Well My Xbox 360 Just broke.
Launch Console, had her since Day 1. Upgraded the HDD a few times.
Powers on, Boots, But no Image through Component or Composite.
Was having issues with it losing one of the colors and turning Green tinted for the last few weeks.
So while not "dead", she's definately disabled now.
Will look into getting an Xbox 360 E w/ 250 GB Drive. (gotta find my transfer cable, lol).
As far as assasination missions.
The only one I Did was the Life Invader Phone to the Face bomb mission.
I have about $2,3xx,xxx.xx on Micheal, and about $22x,xxx on Franklin.
Random Funny Moment...
Playing as Franklin, Heading to the Safe house to Save
AI SUV Ran a Red Light, I slammed the brakes and tapped him lightly, he cursed or yelled and stuff.
I resume going home, park the car in the drive way, get out, start to walk around to the front of the house, and the SUV Comes speeding down the street and pulls up in my driveway (running into the house), AI Dude gets out and starts talking about beating me, I Tap LB and Pull out my Carbine, and he runs away screaming that I'm crazy tripping over his feet, I get in his SUV and park it in my Garage.
Thanks for the Free SUV Buddy.
So far the Only Car I wasnt able to Keep was the Police Car when I rescued the Wife (playing as Mike).
Too bad I cant take some of these cars and sell the off for money.. lol.

Finally, you guys dropped 32 bits support.
Best news so far.
Also been able to fly online for over 3 hrs without crashes.
(was some warping after mission rotation, solved when user exited and relaunched the game)
What he means, is, DigitalCombatSimulator.com now lists the Minimum Requirements as:
Minimum system requirements: OS 64-bit Windows Vista, 7 or 8; CPU: Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz; RAM: 4 GB; Free hard disk space: 10 GB; Video: 512 MB RAM card, DirectX 9.0c - compatible; Sound: DirectX 9.0c - compatible; requires internet activation.Recommended system requirements: OS 64-bit Windows Vista, 7 or 8; CPU: Core i5+; RAM: 8GB; Hard disk space: 10 GB; Video: Shader 3.0 or better; NVIDIA GeForce GTX560 DirectX 9.0c or better; Sound: DirectX 9.0c - compatible; DirectX: 9.0C; requires internet activation.

Aren't all the cool administrationtools removed now in Windows 8? It's likely possible i'll end up using it, but it won't be after SP1 is released.
Windows 8 and 8.1 still have Command Prompt.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/where-is-command-prompt
Thanks so much for this tip Lange! This should be sticky somewhere, as my DSC didn't want to auto update itself at launch...
Just applying your tip did the trick!

4GB and 32-Bit systems, for now, should Roll back to 1.2.5 to resume using DCSW, But you wont be able to play MP.
-
Yep 16 may be a bit of overkill, but I can promise you that you won't run out of memory any time soon while playing DCS... And since 16 Gigs isn't much more expensive than 12 GIGS... I opted for 16 and don't regret it a bit..
Also, since 12 Gigs requires you to use 3 sticks, you can't use dual channel technology so 3 sticks of 12 Gigs is going to run slower than 2 sticks for 16 Gigs even if they are the same rating..
If you can afford it, 2 sticks for 16 Gigs is the way to go in my opinion...
And this conversation will be a moot point for quite some time...
12 GB is Triple Channel for Newer Intel Chipsets (4GBx3 matched sticks)

I think he means the Icons on the Top of the Forums..
LAND/AIR/SEA, A-10C, KA-50, P-51, CA, FC3, UH-1H, MI-8, and now DCS WWII
-
I'd wait a lil bit, R9 series is set to launch, which means Price reductions.
DCS and FSX Favor Intel/nVidia.
-
Are we likely to see any 2-seater fighter/bomber A/C in the future with both seats playable? I'd love to relive Top Gun with a human WSO :D
RIO

Oh I know... wasn't being harsh- just saying for those who do it your way and start getting crashes out of the chute that rebooting has been known to help.
On another note- the firehouse server is up on the update as well for stability tests in a live fire training mission with MANY different aircraft slots available.
I might give that a shot tonight, havent been online in a while.. (since the fly in i think)

I'm Very Strict on what I Allow on my System...
I've Seen "Bundled" Software and Tweaking Software interfere with Games,
This includes but is not limited to:
Bundled AV Suites,
Bundled System Control (ie Fan Controllers, Updaters, GPU/CPU/Mainboard Overclocking Apps, etc).
Screen Recording Software
Key Logging Software
Peer-To-Peer Video/Audio Conferencing Software
Bloated Instant Messenger / Instant Messenger Clone / Look A Like Software.
Certain Windows Updates: (That I've Uninstalled and Hidden, as they caused Havoc on my system)

Most outsourced 3D Contractors have License Terms that prohibit the material from being re-distributed in a method that allows the 3D Geometry to be extracted and recompiled, so Everything would have to be in a 1 Way Container Format. (ie EDM.)
.3ds, .x, and other "Popular" formats would allow 3d Geometry to re-compiled/converted.
Whether or not a EDM Exporter for other 3D Software Suites Emerges is another story.
It would have to support the same systems being used by 3ds Max (Same Materials, Same Animation Controllers, Same User-Defined Systems, etc)

Keep in mind a lot of people don't restart after an update and in the past its been known to help. Also missions need to be resaved in the ME on the server / host computer. These two things help with many crash types.
And about the 32bit- the only thing they haven't fixed is complete removal of support and adjusted the minimums to 64bit OS and 6gigs of RAM.
To the credit of those that dont:
it doesnt say to reboot, and after an update it boots directly to DCS.
I usually update, exit the game, reboot, and play.

That's BF3 in 2011 :P and BF4 soon, very soon : )
BF2 however was a legendary game (2000+ hours online) that I have the fondest memories of. in game VOIP, commander mode, nothing has been the same since.
Thanks Dragon for taking me back : )
In BF2 we had human pilot and gunner in the same helicopter and there were 64 players on a map with no lag at all! Mind you that was back in 2005! I sure hope ED take a good look at the net code and brings dedicated server and stable play for 64 players.BF2 used the Refractor 2 Engine
Battlefield/CoD/MoHAA also only has to transmit and receive data for Players and a Few Vehicles, and the Physics/Systems in those Vehicles are Crazy Simplified Compared to DCS and Even Flaming Cliffs.
DCS has to transmit and receive data for upwards of a few hundred vehicles between ground units and AI Air Wings, not to mention coordinate it all through Radio/ATC System, In some missions.
I don’t see Battlefield getting no where near that level of Digital Battlefield Simulation.
Oh, and "BF4 Beta has stopped working" App Crash is the #1 Reported Bug on the DICE Database as of right now.
(just though I'd throw that in).

Wags posted some screens this month about how the Nevada map is coming along. The real issue of concern is that ED is working on WWII projects. This is getting attention which I personally won't use if its a separate installer using the Edge engine. If they are going to integrate the WWII project into DCS world then they can kill two birds with one stone. Everyone would be happy this way. DCS in my opinion really needs to add a new engine and add few more areas to fly in.
Personally I am very interested in a new engine for DCS World and I really hope the special attention is not going towards DCS WWII but rather DCS/ED is developing that project and as a side effect DCS World and WWII will be one and the same. This will affect my beloved A-10C and other future modern military aircraft. Just my opinion the WWII has been over done for years and years. AFM will be fun, cool, realistic, ETC but special attention going to a WWII sim is a mistake in my opinion. Unless it's one DCS world installer.
Remember that DCS/ED creating modern AFM full fidelity aircraft is setting a bar for simulations. What they do will affect their profits and they already have a monopoly if they make good business decisions. This to me is not a game it's a sim. In real life what would you like to fly out of your local airport a F-15E, A-10C or a P-51D? Just some food for thought. Either way I am very impressed with DCS: World it's a success that's well deserved. And like I said before I would beat the DCS team!!........ to the door so I can open it for them.... And if I had a Vag I would let them gang bang...
RRG Studios is working on the WWII Stuff,
Only WWII Item ED is working on is the FW-190.

BF4 went 64bit as well as should everyone else. don't be a penny pincher upgrade.:music_whistling:
BF4 Still supports 32-Bit, they are simply limiting beta testing to 64-Bit, and it's a Bugfest.
Compared to GTAOnline and BF4, DCS is in Goodshape, lol
And Upgrading from 32-Bit to 64-Bit is Free, Most of the license keys are for both 32- and 64bit.
Just have to Download the 64-Bit install Media from Microsoft, Make a USB Stick, and Install, using the same License Key.

Guys, we have an SDK for a game that's not out yet.
Even if we were to release the EDGE source code as freeware, you'd be in the exact same boat. Build, create, compile, and then what?
Until you have at least the DCS WWII alpha, you have no game in which you can fly over your terrain.
The SDK comes with its own landviewer, which is the app in which I did all the footage in the latest vid. That's where you'll test your landscape.
Nevada EDGE was supposed to be out later this year wasnt it?
