  1. I developed combat style foot rests for MFG Crosswind rudder pedals, which allow for a much more precise 'heel on the floor' control. After 6 months of re-design and improvement, they now fit all kinds of different requests, high angles, low angles, high position, low position, wide or narrow... my testers didn't go easy on me. They come with re-enforcement mounting plates, braking spring adjusters, new tension wheel, are adjustable in width and height, and even damper mounts for main axis and brake damping: You can get them on my webshop for 75$: https://www.replikagear.com/
  2. MFG owner is a real pilot. But here is our problem: Real pilots are positioned to control the pedals with horizontal push, while office chair simmers are controlling their pedals with vertical swings, much less precise. Regardless of pedal type. You can put TM TPRs close underneath your chair, and you will get terrible precission. Or you can put your MFG further forward with increased angle and have great precission. Now granted, parallelogram style pedals like MFG make the problem worse by not allowing you to use 'heel on the floor' control. I made myself combat style pedals for MFG which lowers the pedals by few inches and allow me to slide my heels on the floor, and that greatly increases my precision : So it's not really about rudder style, Pendulum Vs. Parallelogram. You can have either one, as long as your foot rest angle can be more vertical than horizontal, you will have more precision. Heel on the floor also helps.
  3. The design is finalized: You can get them in the 'for sale' section of the forum:
  4. Chill man The plan is to setup manufacturing of some good realistic feeling flight sim controls. I have been posting pictures and videos of every single detail I engineer, what else do you want from me? We're in the middle of a worst pandemic of the last 100 years, everything's under lock-down and international transport is in chaos, would you mind giving me some time I'm not going to do any holiday hype. I share my prototypes when they're done, not my ideas. Browse through the new website: https://www.replikagear.com/
  5. Yes, that is my proof of concept prototype in the video: It is 3d printed like the rest of my 'proof of concept' line-up. I use them to test out different switch desings, triggers, buttons, connectors etc. And to test the limits of my 3d printing farm: I just recently finished a joystick base prototype which you can see on the youtube channel, along with some trigger and pushbutton demos, but there is still no throttle base.
  6. Added P-47 trim-box and gear lever:
  7. Don't see any new PMs so I PMed you guys. Yeah AU was a problem since shipping there was completely closed for a few months, no packages and no envelopes. Was re-opened in September, but if they haven't arrived yet I will send you another envelope since there was a design change in that time anyway.
  8. TM Warthog has 100% milspec forces and travel on all of it's buttons and no one complained, quite the opposite, that's what they loved most about it. Night and day difference between TM Warthog grip switches and VKB/Virpil grip switches.
  9. P-47 style hotas near complete: Just added cooling/canopy module: Base with movement damping: Showcase in depth of research and realism in component engineering:
  10. Yes there were 2-3 versions since the original ones. I've been sending them out weekly as people report old versions broken. Will add you to the next batch. Final version has a support bracket, 4 bolts instead of 2, and 50% more material so they don't crack anymore: But before I put them up for public sale there is 1 more thing I'd like to try. And that is a laser cut metal plate under the whole foot rest. I have a pair coming in and will report how it goes. EDIT: also I've tested out the damper and mounting parts are ready to try out if anyone's interested.
  11. Apparently some overseas packets are not coming through, some are. I used the cheapest possible shipping option with no tracking, but it did say Priority Air, though. But no worries. I have people setting up to print these on a license. They are still setting up, so I will use tracked shipping to send out the final version to those of you who didn't receive their packet. When you receive double or triple foot rests, feel free to give the old ones away. I will keep those who stuck with me through this pandemic shipping chaos, on a serve-first list for the rest of my line up:
  12. I will have a Facebook page and Youtube studio set up next month, until then:
  13. Ramping up... Free desktop mounts with every unit: German lineup prototypes: Head tracker: Fully adjustable flight rig:
  14. USA and AU will be made and shipped locally. Oh at least 75% of testers reported pedals too high. I have a stupidly large and deep desk, so I'm seated almost like in a real fighter plane or a race car, more horizontal than vertical. So I had no comfort problems. But people sitting in normal chairs at normal desks, sit more vertically and in that position the Gen1 pedals really are too high. Now, that being said, they are on the same height as a real F-18 pedal position, and have the same dimensions. But again, real planes and boots vs computer desk and socks is two different worlds. Anyway the final design has mounting holes for 2" adjustment up/down/left/right so it should fit everyone.
  15. It will be interesting to see how the new design fits the Obutto. New ones can be mounted up to 4" less in width.
  16. Yep, unfortunately the old designs had a mix of settings and strengths to help me determine the minimum amount of time/material needed. So your settings would now be marked as a no go. But I decided to get rid of that approach completely and go with a fail-safe solution of using an extra bracket and 4 mounting bolts instead of 2. New designs will be sent out directly from US so you won't have to wait another month and a half for the new set to arrive.
  17. Yep, Huey pedals can overlap the spring too, I just didn't make the effort because I was expecting them to be crap :) Since you guys think they're actually ok, I will definitely take time to improve them.
  18. Do NOT do that! It might be possible to brake the old designed combat foot rests, but the new design with support bracket far exceeds the braking limit of the actual MFG parts! Interesting about the Huey pedals. Yes I can definitely make them not so wide. I'll do that and send a new pair for comparison.
  19. Right, so month and a half shipping to US. Not great, not terrible.
  20. Oh I see, you meant with the old adjusters. Yeah the new ones, combined with the lowest position should be about the same. If it's still to much force for a rolling chair, I will send you new adjusters with even more holes. They can go full circle for all I care :) You will let me know what hole makes the spring weak enough to not roll the chair.
  21. Is the spring still too strong for you? I have the older white pedals with the 10% weaker spring, and on the lowest adjuster setting there is almost no force at all on the brakes. I keep accidentally pressing the brakes while applying rudder, they are that weak on the lowest setting. That's why I didn't go with even more holes on the adjuster. But I can add more, if others confirm the brakes are still too hard to press.
  22. Yes. Still waiting on some components for the base: Yep, already fixed for the next, hopefully final version.
  23. Yes it stops right on the bolt. Doesn't interfere with anything.
  24. Just so people know what we're talking about. These are the helo style foot rests. I'm actually surprised you like them. They were just an afterthought, made them in like 15 minutes and haven't even tried them as I don't fly helos just yet. I was actually expecting them to fail miserably in terms of use/comfort. Now you got my hopes up.
  25. All new EU based test units are in the mail. All Australia and US testing units will soon be made locally and shipped from there, so we don't have to rely on air shipping which is not working due to the pandemic. So I have about 10 testing units left if anyone from EU wants them, pm me. I think the hydraulic dampers are another winner. The main axis hydraulic damper just takes it to another lever, for those seeking realistic, heavy duty feel. And brakes hydraulic dampers do the same for the brake feel. I will do some more flight tests, and then start sending testing kits for further suggestions . Tools. Not toys. If you're wondering what are they bolted to, it's a modular flight rig I'll add to my product line:
