Anyone tried Oculus rift or HTC vive in DCS? Hey I was wondering if anyone has tried the oculus rift cv1 or the HTC vive in DCS? Ive had the CV1 and CV2 but the resolution was too low to play in DCS, I was wondering what the experience is like with the consumer versions. How is the resolution? Can you read all the buttons and switches/dash on the full sim modules? How is the draw distance. Thinking about buying the vive or oculus just for this game probobly like a lot of people, would like to hear someones experience with either of these headsets.

oculus camera view pans up in any plane on mission start Hello im having a problem with the camera view when using the oculus rift for any module in dcs world. any time i first launch a mission or training mission when i press okay the camera view pans to the ceiling and NUM5 and the home button will not center the view, i have to press left shift + r to restart the mission and then it starts centered, and the num5 button works to center the view, the problem is if i restart the mission in training there is no longer voice overs, and if i restart the mission in the campaign it wont count the mission as completed if i beat it. The other solutiuon is to jump to a copilots plane. anyone know how i can fix this?

as soon as i swith to another plane, or if i restart the mission it works fine, it just happens the first time entering the mission

I tried that, it works for after you switch planes, but when first starting up any mission, the camera goes to the canopy, and 5 wont work

ok i found out you have to turn off full screen, but now when i jump in the cockpit the camera view is almost in the front dash and the the camera rotates vertically into the canopy and wont move back down, after i crash and jump into another plane the camera stays forward and head tracking works, but the view is in the front dash, is there away to recenter the camera with the oculus? the home button doesn not work like it does with freetrack

oculus rift dk2 mouse wont work for start screen Hello, i was looking at some forums a few months old about this problem and they didnt have solutions, can anyone get the mouse to work with oculus in dcs? cant click the start menu to fly :((

Hello, I am very excited, later this year I think I'm going to fly an l39 albatross through migflug. I am hoping the full L39 module will be out this year so i can compare the handling in real life to the DCS module, and get some seat time and great understanding of all the systems before i fly. They allow you to fly the plane yourself and perform some acrobatics. Its going to be great fun. I will post my experience in the future and compare the experiences. Does anybody know any ETA for the albatross Module?

oh okay thanks, i chose the combined arms campaing, i didnt know what CA was. maybe ill get combined arms and try it out.

a10 data link target would be awesome, i think the sniper module would add alot if it was very realistic and difficult like sniping is. there would be tonnes of prep (finding your position/targets, sneaking up on enemy, observing wind conditions and elevation and range to target, knowledge of ammo type and weapon type and exectuing the mission.

okay thanks, im also having trouble calling forward ground forces, on the last campaign mission, i couldnt find the radio menu for ground forces, it said it was in f10 for other, and on a campaign mission before that after i called in ground forces after taking out all ground targets they never moved and the option stayed there.

ok so i found i was looking at the intercom panel, and when i set it to intercomm and then used the forward mic switch to contact ground crew it would automatically switch the dial off int, idk if its a glitch, i found out that easy communications was on, so i turned that off and now i can contact ground crew. and idk whats goingon with the autopilot, i tried using the hotas "q" switch and then autopilot but it still wont work.

srry one more question, is there also a switch to enable auto pilot? on my co pilots plane when i jumped planes after crashing pressing A worked to enable autopilot but on my plane i just hear a click for the switch and no tone for autopilot, and autoplot does not work

ok thanks, i wasnt using the right intercomm switch, one more question how do i contact ground crew for re arm and refuel, that option is also blacked put, i tried it with all hotas mic switches (aft, forward, up, down) also can jtac be KIA, i called in jtac and was attacking ground targets, after the first target (a tank) i called in target destroyed and jtac said continue attack, i destroyed a few more tanks and said target destroyed and i stopped getting communications or new targets from them, i set communication time to 1 hour so it shouldnt have timed out

Hello, i was wondering if somebody could help me, im trying to contact jtac for a campaign mission, in the mission briefing it says the jtac fm radio frequency is 30.000 which is what the fm radio is pre set as, i try to contact jtac, and the option menu after i press f4 for jtac are blacked out.. How do i set up the radio to contact jtac? the radio is set to t/r.

i got it working but it only moves the slew for a brief second and then i have to press the mouse nipple in that direction over and ever to get it to move across the screen, how do i set it to continuouslly slew when i hold down the mouse nipple in a direction?

ok, i tried updating through steam and im getting a disk write error, i tried reinstaling dcs world without the beta and im still getting therror, so now im downloading it from the dcs website, how can i update the non steam version to beta?

Ok I'm struggling in a dog fight 4 vs 4 f16s and 2 f15s with patriot sam missles

Is it just me or are the su27 missles alot worse than the arsenal on the f15? with the f15 it was pretty much fire and forget and almost every missle would hit, with the su27 almost none of the missles are hitting, either the mid range or short range. Or is the f15 ai better?

Im not sure if this is a bug or not but it seems to be, when in a dogfight and getting shot down and trying to switch to a wingmans plane, when i jump in the plane the voice comes on saying 1500 fuel left, and then imeedeietly after 800 500 and then the plane runs out of fuel, this just happeed on 3 planes in a row after i jumped into all my wingmans planes.
