  1. Hey Duckling! I just got into your web page. This looks great! I will be spending some time exploring here I can see. I will probably take you up on the offer of more pics also. Thanks Menessis
  2. Thanks Duckling. I went through the thread and all the links! I had seen it before but missed some of the links. Since I have metal working equipment I should be able to build some nice controls. Just need some measurements to get me started. Menessis
  3. OK so who wants a Huey pit? I want to build myself a set of Huey controls. Need some dimensions though. Does anyone have a source? Thanks Menessis
  4. OK now I see what is going on here. In my kee file I have the num pad keys mapped to my CDU keys in pit. So it worked with the LWin button + xNum but not on there own. So I just need to tweek those 9 keys. Menessis
  5. And the prize goes to ........... Wrecking Crew! Backed up the keyboard file. and it works like it is supposed to. Now I have to redo all the settings in there! Thanks for all the help guys. Menessis'
  6. No Mods. I did put in a file for "templates". I think I will try a new key file for the hell of it and see what happens. Its kind of wierd in that two of my buddies that I fly with can't get it to work either. Menessis
  7. Thanks! So far so good with the PTT button. Now to try it in game! Menessis
  8. Hey Headspace I have the same problem with the PTT. I don't understand what you mean by Set your input mode to DirectInput?? Menessis
  9. Yes I am up to date! Never used them before now. Thanks for your patience man! Menessis
  10. Hi Hawka. Ya I get all the standard snap views when I use Lwin + 0 or Lwin +1. I was thinking about mapping views 1, 2 and 3 to the cougar. So I switched them from LWin to Lshft. They still snap. The others are still on Lwin + x Num. Can't toggle them is all. I can put set them any way you suggest for testing. Menessis
  11. Hi Hawka. Your close. I get snap views as long as I hold the buttons is correct. But then I try to use Rcrtl + 0 I get the "center view" but when I try to switch the view using the Num 1 nothing happens :( In other words...Rcrtl + 0 + 1 gets me nothing but the Center View. Menessis
  12. My Snap Views work when I press the key for the different views. I just can't get them to toggle. Good thinking Dachs! I had to stop and think about that one for a couple of secs! Menessis
  13. Well you guys must think I am some kind of idiot by now :( Hawka, I am trying to get a standard view to work. No custom snap views. But just for the hell of it I changed the true to false in the view file. Didn't help. The views snap but wont toggle. I created a new "test.miz" file even. Menessis
  14. OK num lock is on. Rctrl + 0 is mapped to "Cockpit Panel View Toggle" Rctrl + 1 is mapped to first default snap view and I am in the A-10 sim So I should be able to press Rctrl + 0 and then 1 to get the radio snap view? Thanks again Menessis
  15. Well as usual I am at a loss. Rctrl + 0 then a key pad number of choice. All I get is a snap view of the front panel view. Non of the others work. Rctrl + 0 is in deed set in my options. Just can't get them to toggle. Menessis
  16. Thanks Foss. I kind of guessed it was that one. But not ever have used the snap views before I didn't know if I was doing something wrong or it wasn't set up right or even if it has to do with the last patch! I will try that tonight. Thanks again. Menesses
  17. Thanks Hawka. I have traced the problem I am having down to the fact that Rctrl + 0 is not mapped to anything in my key file. So what is the name of the function or call back that "toggles"? Then I can put a key in for it. Thanks again. Menessis
  18. Just started playing around with the snap views. I would like to toggle the CDU Snap view so I don't have to hold while I type in what I need. Rctrl num0 doesn't do anything to help that I can see. What am I missing :( Thanks Menessis
  19. I did get the old Cougar working with the new card. I also cleaned out all the usb devices that i don't use. You can use the util to take out the driver for the Cougar also. And then plug the Cougar back in and it will reinstall. One time it didn't want to work. Tried all the old tricks I could think of. What I did that time was to plug it into the old xp machine. Flash it, got it working. Then just moved it back to the win7 machine. Go figure! Menessis
  20. Thanks Doright! I had seen that article but didn't look close enough. I'm wasn't looking to get the brakes working. So like I said before I will have to get a new cable. And it looks like the D sub on the Cougar has a -5v pin #4. So with that info i should be able to use a hall sensor next time the pot screws up. Or get a usb controller for it. That way instead of 256 I can get 12 bit for a higher resolution. Menessis
  21. Hey thanks for the tips galevsky06 and the miz file Wrecking Crew. I will be scratching my head for days to come. Just got my rudder back together and working. Now i can spend some time with this. Menessis
  22. Well I took one of the CH pots apart and cleaned it with some WD-40 then put a little lithium grease in it. Put back together, stuck it in and it works. So far so good. Don't know if there is a way to put the hall sensors in or not? Menessis
  23. OK the pots I have are done. I switched the one from the toe brake and it worked for a while but then started jumping around. Then next time it doesn't work at all. So Hall Sensors seems like a good idea plus I already have them. The problem is figuring out this wiring. This is the mod to get the brakes to work ??? http://www.kimdara.com/flipbox/ch_tech.html#propedals And this is the original http://www.ch-hangar.com/forum/index.php/topic/2957-wiring-diagrams/ ftp://ftp.chproducts.com/pub/Postings/Wiring/Pro_Pedals_PC/Pro_Pedals_PC.pdf My pedals have the toe brakes. But since it is plugged into a cougar they are not used. To use the hall sensor I need +5v and a -5v. and the reference pin of course. I cut out the switch and tested the wires. Blue is pin #1 +5v Yellow is pin #11 Red is pin # 13 So Blue to the pot (+5v), then the Purple out (ref or wiper) goes to the switch and gets returned to the cougar on the Red. I even tied the Pink and Yellow together as per the diagram. The problem is I don't know what is going on in the other end. The D sub shell has two other pig tails for other connections, depending on what you want to plug it into I guess. If I could find out the Cougar rudder pin out would help. The other 3 remaining wires do not connect to the D shell that I am using. Does the Cougar game port use a standard game port pin out? I plugged in the old pot that sort of works but spikes and don't get anything. At this point I don't know what to try. Maybe the problem is on the Cougar end of things? I unplugged the Cougar and plugged it back in. Now with a new pot (one that doesn't fit the pedals) it works. So I need a -5V pin on the Cougar! I think I will have to switch cables to a 15 wire cable to get to the -5v on the Cougar. Don't know which one it is though. Thanks Menessis
  24. Has anyone tried this with CH Pro pedals. Mine have just died! Not a lot of room in there to work with. Menessis
  25. Hi WreckingCrew. That is sort of along the same idea. My problem is I dont know how to add a script to my mission. Menessis
