  1. +1 to same symptoms of only fire button1 working via triggering all stick's buttons simultaneously (checked via start>Set up USB game controllers (at control panel) Event Tester). +1 to same reason (when regreasing, broke two wires, yellow and brown, from ones going to ps/2 alike connector). As had no soldering iron around, cleaned wire ends from insulation, spiral-folded ends together, applied a bit of tape for insulation. On test run all buttons started working. Pity, that wires broke leaving only very short ends inside gimbal. Had to break off small grey thingie with magnet to enable pulling out wires for access after unscrewing ps/2 connector, and later on glue back that magnet piece. Would be nicer if it had been attached via screws. Gonna wait for tomorrow for glue to completely dry out and assembly everything back together.

Unless there is some major forum software bug imho no need for such precaution. If DM's PP address is shared, it's probably by intentional resending/reposting/sharing among friends/in other forum/by email. Maybe with best intentions gone wrong, but nevertheless. I suggest for someone who might have done that to simply apologise to DM via PM and post to those he might have forwarded it to wait for next cover runs via subscribing to this thread. DM: You mentioned steep increase of price on remove before flight tags. I wonder if that text embroided in small font (to fit on cover) can serve as reasonably priced alternative?

Imho no need to announce payment here by every one from 56(?) people. If payment is sent, DM probably will see that via paypal, as nick on this forum should be among paypal order details if filled out correctly. Maybe compiled list of those still not paid might be of more use, as reminder (i'm guessing for probable rather trivial reasons like potentially having disabled PM feature and/or not having subscribed for notifications on list and rarely checking out for updates on thread).

For now it's enough to simply post/confirm here your intention to order. Deadman monitors this thread and takes note of all who wish to order. Soon he'll draw line and send out to everybody messages with instructions how to pay to him via paypal and how to specify details of order like callsigns or to where finished cover needs to be shipped.

ysb1725: wait for PM with ordering instructions from DM. Then you'll be able to specify what callsign you want to have embroidered in. In this thread it's mostly just announcing / confirming commitment to order.

1 cover with callsign & RBF tags, confirmed. Zlin: if prices haven't changed 30$ or 37$.

DM: .. referring to this post. In what format fonts for embroided callsign are acceptable? TTF or something else? And can that be some plain image/logo?

Highwayman: i know, loved the looks of them in pics and seen not one bad post about them, only few impatient ones about something that is not DM's fault like lagging shipment because of local customs or postal companies and such. I love the idea of it after cleaning dust few times and thinking how much might get inside where it's harder to clean. After getting rudder & trackir all that left is to get these covers & this & maybe this :) Deadman: Unfortunately i don't know much :( (few virtual pilots i know usually buy much cheaper sim HW). But imho it might help to reopen other forum threads and edit their first or add last post with link to this thread. As for less then 10 posts .. i wonder how much of them are like me - joined here just because of your covers :) (i'm more into prop sims (IL2) then jet ones, preferring acrobatics & direct cannon action to sophisticated target management with fire and forget out of sight weaponry, though i'm thinking of trying LockOn later on). Few forums about covers i found: Warthog World 476 vfightergroup - here i see you already posted :) SimHQ Virtual Thunderbirds virtualnavairops maybe also @ xtreme systems, avsim online, combatsim, ubi forums, x-plane, 1c, combatace, fighterops, flightsim.com +probably won't hurt to update/edit OP post of this thread for those many that quickly glance through only 1st page :) I'm sure there might be lot of others i don't know about (being newbie fs scene, as late buying WT & returning to flightsiming happened after many years ago playing singleplayer F22 lightning w. keyboard :))

cichlidfan: Amazon/ebay? Imho it will be harder to make that way in custom embroidered callsigns, grouping order + there might be extra problems on DM as seller with shipping times after payment. Thus i doubt it makes sense of selling that way with exception for already made no callsign leftover covers from bigger orders.

I wonder if you can extend time period for gathering buyers from couple of weeks to more (half a year? year?), or if you'll track/re-contact those that had shown their wish for previous not finalized/completed run try? But yeah, subscribed to thread with notification to email for any case. As for website with costs not justified by demand .. it probably won't work for this case, but i suggest for future cases simply put up/host one unified hostname for selling all the products you brand/made/make/will make. Another one would be to host on some free hosting options and live by with their banner stuff. Maybe even not full order/purchase code, if coding will take too much work/time, but at least product descriptions/pics and some webform with captchas to submit customer mail for contact back (might take more time spend on communication though then direct purchase form), wished product options and shipping address (i'm just purely fantasizing, no clue what's been there on old site, as i hadn't even considering purchase of warthog itself, before it went down). There is option also to use single thread for all your products in some forum that allows selling (with choosing forum by it's potential longitivity and without too high requirements like having paid subscription/100 posts before able to browse/post in selling threads). Whatever option you will decide to use (or not) but i advise to choose one and stick to it for years (or at least post/update in that one place/host links to alternative new sites/threads in future for future products), so that all those googling for products like yours won't end on closed sites or closed forum threads and after sighing moving on and drop idea of getting/keeping finding product at all. Well, whatever it will be, i'm glad that i managed to find this thread and still have hope of getting it.:pilotfly: P.S. If it's not hard, please update initial post with non removed pics, and with current state of things like "Site closed, but here are from time to time combo orders gatherings for covers, post/PM/subscribe to thread to show interest" for those that find this thread but move on after seeing first post as it's now, without reading last 10-20 pages. I definitely remember visiting this thread aswell from links from elsewhere few months ago, and you probably can guess my reaction on reading "Warthog covers is Closed" :). Only lately i stumbled upon link to more hopeful middle of thread.

+me in waiting list if those 25 cover orders are still gathering/open. P.S. If site still were alive, imho gathering new orders would be much easier feat. I just by chance stumbled upon one forum where this thread was linked to with mention that some cover orders from time to time still possible. All the rest of links/forums that can be googled up on warthog dust covers point to old closed site or have old last posts saying all closed/nothing available/train missed and so on = imho potentially at least halving if not more potential buyers list. If reasoning above makes enough sense to you, i suggest to reopen site (which is referred in many of those searchable forums your cover was mentioned in), where user can leave his email on orders and see some current counter of placed ones, as in how much left to go :). You may also consider waiting not for eg. 25, but some 25+5 or other number by your experience for extra insurance, if there were some percentage of guys not paying in time for previous orders, with last 5 redirecting to next order (you can put some EULA to accept, for less hard feelings of those less fortunate with timing :))
