  1. sorry if the topic doesn't move a lot thoses days, but i have tons of work. It's the same for Icemaker (who's building the pit). We've got a flight sim show in Paris at the end of the month and it takes some times to prepare it. another guy as started one in France :
  2. that's what i call an interesting experiment :-)
  3. you need to shorten the lower gardena thread to get it to bit enough on the warthog base parts
  4. yes, no modification needed on base or grip.
  5. the lever effect has a force that almost equal the spring system. You can feel the center but the grip will not return without some help (it will move a little but will stop before reaching the center position). First thing to try is to remove the 4 little springs that are used to reduce strengh around the center postion, and then, if not enough, a stronger spring to replace the main one. But first, i'm going to try to recycle some cougar parts
  6. little picture of the stick extension : It's not the best looking one or strong as steel but it cost 15 € of parts... and everybody can build it it's made with this PVC tube, the main tube is blended after been heated, you're watching the first try, cold be done with a better final aspect. The parts used to link the Joystick parts are modified garden water tube connectors : Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  7. made a new version of the extension grip this weekend. I will post pictures latter today.
  8. great and thanks a lot, flaws of the OLR seat are now perfectly identified, if he don't, i will probably modify the plans and maybe build one seat for myself.
  9. metric, most of the pdf are scale 1/1 New seat implemented. The seat as been designed by a french guy "OLR". Here you can see the virtual model : I don't know if he plan to release plans, but it lookk very good, but require some serious work (lots of parts). We found some little mistakes, but it looks quite good already. The autor already build it. I made a short pause but i will start to work on the external ribs soon. Coupled with some pictures, i've seen that my stick base is probably 3 centimeter too close of the center console. I will be gratefull if someone can give me the exact dimension of an Ace II seat, especially the width.
  10. Router can be helpfull but can be seen as an ptionnal tool Jigsaw is the main one. New seat implemented, it's a very nice model but a little bit more complicated to build and with an high amount of parts.
  11. measurments may be pretty close of the real stuff. Please double check the size of parts for the shopping list.
  12. Center consol available here ! ftp://checksix-fr.com/Matos/docs/A-10C%20console%20centrale.zip
  13. yes there's a little mistake, i need to update the files. You can use 315 twice instead of 320 and 320
  14. doc and file for the front part are ready, waiting for uploading them, should be done soon.
  15. the website hosting the file is down, should be back online later, same for the pictures in Icemaker post
  16. Icemaker made this picture with the seat
  17. i'm also working hard on the front panel, floor and center piedestal should be ready soon, i'm creating documentation.
  18. Icemaker is also building the pit (basically i designed it for him). He spent some time testing the planned TM Warthog grip extension (see the following picture). On the website Checksix-frcom, we're discussion crossing data with a very nice ejection seat. A massive upgrade for the Ejection seat may eventually come :
  19. y2kiah, that's an interesting approch. it's been a long time i would like to test this kind of constructon. Linden, you must be using a huge Jigsaw, mine cannot go with such thickness or big parts. What did broke on the cnc ? Could you make a picture to check the Thrustmaster Warthog throttle fitting ?
  20. one command of the lua has been locked for security issue, so this function doesn't work anymore, maybe there's a way to get it from elsewhere in the lua code.
  21. it's not a real kit, just free blueprints for those who want to build something modular but looking good. Someone has build the left console and will built the right one this week. I hope he will post some pictures on this thread. My next steps is to build documents for the front parts and then start the ribs for the "optional" external fuselage. It would be great if someone does the same for panels, this way, people may have a great source for data about the A-10C cockpit. My next free plan are probably going to be a WWII warbird, as i can access real one sometimes.
  22. there's some really thin ones and the result is greater than wood. Whatever, you choice for multiply wood instead of medium is good, medium doesn't like painting and mechanically, have a poor reliability.
  23. Thanks Y2kiah, i will check. I did use some of your dimensions and some others taken on real parts. As i'm not building a 100% replica but something modular and easy to assemble, i had to make some adjustement with convertion inch/millimeters, but it's always good to have inputs.
  24. you can cover the wood with evergreen plastic sheet, use very thin ones.. easy to cut, paint and will give you a fantastic result for a very little cost.
  25. Well, dont worry for dimension, find someone who can print you the pdf scale 1/1 and no need of any dimensions... or convertions the front version without part for projector should be avaliable soon :
