  1. i've also used that one :-), checking your thread
  2. i progress slowly on the front stuff, waiting for results of new tests to limit the use of the projector for instruments only in the center of the front panel. Without the use of a projector, the center consol should be ready soon.
  3. i used various sources found on the web, including picture with cote, do you have a link to the diagram ?
  4. don't forget that when you buy an HOTAS, it's also for the number of buttons, the F/A-18 grip is frustrating on this point. People complain about the lack of rotarys on the warthog Throttle (easy to compensate with some programming trick)... so imagine Warthog grip is 19 buttonsn, throttle handles, 18 buttons = 37 buttons F/A-18 grip is 14 buttons throttle is 14 buttons = 28 buttons But like others, i would love to see a Su-27 grip and F/A-18 one.
  5. looks like a defective switch, Path should be button 27 and Alt 28, those 2 buttons cannot be illuminated at the same time, it can oonly be none of those, or one of those.
  6. it should be :-)
  7. we did some very good progress on the projector stuff side. It seems that the best solution is to use 2 screens for MFCD and projector for other instruments. The use of screens is justified by a good MFCD resolution.
  8. side consoles avaliable, thanks to Checksix-fr.com for file hosting ftp://www.checksix-fr.com/Matos/docs/A10Cconsoles.zip
  9. Hello, sorry for the slow progress, we're testing the projection stuff anfd it slow down the developpement. The side consoles files are ready, i must host them at checksix-fr.com i will do it the coming days... Some parts of the cockpit should be displayed at the French Flight Simulator Show at "Le Bourget airport" end of september.
  10. MDF could be ok for some parts like consoles, but for the front panel, it will blend with time. MDF isn't rigid enough in time to play any mechanical role. The adventage of MDF is when you need a perfect flat surface it's also easier to work and less expensive. The sides of left and right consoles could be done with MDF if you place a good number of fix points. You're right, I should change the 20 mm plywood to 18, it should be easyier to find.
  11. thanks, you're the first to answer my request about suggestions and opinions on the manuel :-) I will probably release the side consoles next week.
  12. Little progress, i created Thrustmaster MFDs bezel and the Simped rudder for the best integration. Working on the front parts...
  13. i plan to skin it, but yes, with a projector, you need to have a good venting. Basically, i wanted to skin only in the cockpit area, but if i must keep 1.8 meter to allow the use of a projector really change the rules.
  14. great link, thanks. I did a little test wit my old infocux X3, to get an image large enought(80cm) to cover all instruments for the front panel, i need to place the projector 1.45 meter away from the surface.
  15. for the rear reflection, tracing paper seems a good solution at a very low cost...
  16. yes, coupled with Helios, it should be very interesting and flexable. Gadroc, i need your help for some LUA Helios thrustmaster target interfacing :) Please don't request the pdf yet. I will release plans once finished and when each module fits perfectly the others, i also want to avoid many different versions of the files. For those who only plan to use the front panel, i can already send a file that will provide you some serious help. For others who want to buid consoles, center piedestal, i suggest to wait. No worrys, it's coming. This week i've been dealing with the rudder area and i'm now waiting for some test results to see distance requiered for the projector to cover the front panel. Once done, i will finish external ribs and then, it will be time for document and finally, your turn to play with tools. I've attached a mini manual file for one console (no stencil inside, just assembly order). Please give me your opinion on the content, if it please you and seems clear enough. manual left console.pdf
  17. little progress... 1) we started with the idea to add a 27 inch screen behind the front dash, but it's pretty complicated, 2 or 3 screens could be better. PM your email to me, I can send you a pdf file with the front dash scale 1/1. Now we're going to experiment soon the use a a projector to display all instruments (managed by Helios). This solution may not be much more expensive than several video card + screens... 2) the buider is going to use the famous "how to ace II" free plans, i do not plan to make something new here, exept if i have an access to a real Ace II seat. Http : / / g o . t o / s imh a n g a r or i suggest a Kit from SCSimulations.com
  18. First, be advised that english isn't the first language i've learned ;) Hello, my way to support DCS A-10C and help a Friend to build his cockpit... First, thanks to all others pit builder who reactivated the virus with their nice amazing projects, thanks to people building the right stuff and tools, SC Simulation guys, Opencockpits... and a big thumb up for the DCS team, they give us the kind of software we've all dreamed about. I've started to design a modular A-10C cockpit. You can build just console, front panel or everything as you wish. Each component is independent. This is not a 100% realistic cockpit, i don't have access to the real plane (no A-10 C in France..) and cannot guarantee the exact dimensions (i may be pretty close but...). If you want something better, go for the commercial versions or well known auctions website. Here the goal is simply to allow everyone to "fly" in a seriously improved environnement at a "wife compatible" cost. The main goal is to create something inexpensive to build, as simple as possible, but with a good looking result and easy to complete with realistic panels ect... this means 90% realistic. The cockpit, especially the left console is designed "Fit and Play" for the Thrustmaster Warthog. Available Parts : Flancs : https://www.dropbox.com/s/vn51e2qak3a7tzd/Flancs.zip?dl=0 Center console (previous link was broken, thanks Chester2175 to advise me of the issue): https://www.dropbox.com/s/kxgd311kmaahb4x/A-10C%20console%20centrale.zip?dl=0 Glareshield detail are in the pdf attached here : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1305695#post1305695 The side Console PDF and manual are available here : https://www.dropbox.com/s/nc8m9sy1m12uvov/A10Cconsoles.zip?dl=0 a little animation done by Linden, displaying the assembly of the left console. The progress: I can eventually make the 2 sides of the airplane if anyone wants to build them Yet, i didn't plan to create the panels, i will see for that point later. Everything will be available for free, as stencil in PDF Formal, scale 1/1. I will also write a quick assembly guide and bill of materials. Have a nice flying day.
  19. I've tested the seat, a great piece of hardware.
  20. nice demonstration of the flexibility of the Script :)
  21. Ordered mine on 24 december, got them the 5 january... That was pretty fast, shipped to France.
  22. i got it, I've just changed my computer setup, it took me some time to have everything up and running. Some point are already included in RC3.
  23. hehe, ordered mine :-)
  24. the next version of t.a.r.g.e.t let you supress that deadzone if you want :-) it should be avaliable soon. You're the first to notice it, congratulation :)
  25. nice, the next release of T.A.R.G.E.T will include automatic Graphical layout but only for FCF files.
