on further playtesting primary tasks are not completing will have this issue fixed ASAP, i know how to do it, and all other tasks are working perfectly.

sounds like a video card issue, could also be driver related - have you reinstalled video drivers recently.. is it possible the drivers overlapped and aren't playing nicely?

disabling swap file is a bad idea even on massive ram systems, windows was always designed to page some information when you take that away it can cause problems, having said that it could be an unrelated problem. some programs such as adobe photoshop wont even work without a swapfile, they need to store all those undo's somewhere. If i could i would tear out anybodys eyeballs who thinks disabling pagefile is a good idea this is like A+ software 101. I'm also on 16gb ram and DCS always uses 3999 mb or my ram. system hard locks are most definetly that overclock or some component being stressed to far, I don't care what your stability testing has found out, your wrong, put stock clocks on everything and if your hardware isn't already damaged and provided there is no registry or driver acting up the game should not hard lock ever... it really stinks of a RAM or VRAM issue. are the ram identical pairs? have you overclocked your VRAM recently?

tell them to hold position and then kill the air defenses yourself, then tell them to proceed and they do much better, also consider giving them kh-25mls and SEAD missiles and utilize them that way.

yet another update, 2.06 fixes all known issues, i verified that rewards work and the tasks start correctly, I added 15 minute interleave between a new task starting so that way people can vacate the area before having new units spawn in (potentially underneath them) this was a request from a user and think it will make it much better for any KA-50's and just generally more playable. I played this all day and had 0 problems, so finally its solid and this time I really mean it, have fun :pilotfly: and if you run it on your server let me know so i can come join yas sometime!

yes for the moment being sorcer3r, i will need helo specific tasks for them to a viable option. I know people want them and maybe in future i will be able to add something for them but atm they are low priority... till 2.05B (just released) the task maker was broken more then working... try 2.05B all other versions are garbage now... as I finally fixed the unresolved issues.

Yea me to man, except I am even more hardcore and dislike even fog of war on, i have everything disabled and map only... but i have let the player / server decide what to set it as since I've released the map... in otherwords not locked it to any setting and it goes off player / server setting. You would never find a target using the cover picture so that point is not really a very good one, at any given time most those units aren't even present as there is over 100 secondary tasks and the frontline is never the same. Dynamic bullseye calls mean that you get new information from the task system when a target is moving using MIST 3.3 -- a mission developer library of sorts, its not hardcoded... nor does it use JTAC but you can request the BR at anytime using the menu. which is the only way you would find any targets if the mission was set to map only (which is the best way to play it) if your unsure of what a Bullseye reference point is its a pretty important tool that you can use to find targets. as for the download link I have fixed it... not really sure why everyone calls the tankovy the Toad, is that the NATO designation? the SU-25 family has many different variations, the T is know as the "tankovy" because of its anti-tank role and the "grach" or the "rook" the initial variant of the frogfoot.. it bothers me that no one realizes this, there is no SU-25A and they are both just variants of the same base aircraft the frogfoot.

Ok, obviously do want a flame war cause you can't leave it go. updated version of Bitter Rivals to 1.10, this new version should address a lot of problems and balancing, I put a lot of work into this one to make sure it was as good as i possibly could make it. I also updated the DCS repository with a link to this forum post so that users can find the most up to date version instead of running a very old version, hopefully this is acceptable. =D happy flying. expect a new one soon that will build on this style of mission, in a different locale and with some more advanced waypointing. if the file is still saying 1_06 its because the person hosting it has yet to add it to the files, it should be there soon whenever i can get a hold of him... just kinda jumped the gun and thought he was around to add it.

no way you could just have it hold, when triggered event occurs, remove the helicopter using group deactivate and then activate a second helicopter that would "resume" the mission because its waypointing would be the rest of what the first helicopter was supposed to do. a bit of trickery to get the right results. don't know if this would suite your needs.

yea about the name i am just mirroring my friends teamspeak servers name, his name is wankerpants, despite what many may think the meaning is it does not mean this in anyway... we are actually quite mature gamers despite what the title would suggest, were friendly thats about the only similarity... he runs wankercraft.org a minecraft server and teamspeak, hes also my :pilotfly: and we :joystick: together on wankercraft.org. :doh::megalol: its just unfortunate that many people who are into flight sims are from europe where the word is considered much more offensive, cause overseas its a very uncommon thing. in other news i put up 1.06 of bitter rivals, its complete it works as intended and been having a blast with it, not many people come around though and when they do they don't even say hello and just leave! how unfair online gaming can be sometimes!

while there is no hill in the mission i chose to say hamburger hill not because of your mission dragon (I actually haven't played any of yours yet, although i know you put a ton of work into yours) but because both teams are throwing each other at each other in a full frontal assault, perhaps there is a better term but it is not the first time i have seen a game mode similar to this described this way, I wonder if Hank would be proud if i called it king of the hill. :megalol: I will add the files to the DCS website repository but only after i am satisfied that i will not be making any more changes, i mean i added bitter rivals 1.03 and 1 day later i have made so many changes that 1.03 is antiquated already and its probably not even been okay'd yet to be placed on the repository (although tbh i didn't check yet) once i am confident that things are in a final state i will begin to add them, for now i will provide my own personal links to the files, for anyone concerned over safety feel free to open the .MIZ with winrar and look through the files, its not like these are executable!

yes no problem the only issue is i have no other place to put the files, any ideas of a better site to host them at? I'm only using that one because after megaupload got taken out i hadn't found a suitable replacement. I will update my latest mission some critical bugs found in 1_03... not something i really want people to experience playing my mission for the first time :P EDIT: changed download links to split up the package and changed download location, best i can do for now.

thanks a million guys, i'm really new at LUA scripting but did some scripting for arma 2 in the past so hoping to really get into the DCS scripts and make some really nice missions. will have to check out mist 2.0 when you release it for sure, hopefully things will get really documented out on the wiki over time. I will take a look at the sample mission sometime later on today, if it does what i think it does my missions will suddenly seem like the AI knows what its supposed to be defending :)
