Hi, I think it happened since the new updates but I keep running into a communication problem during my MP missions. On mission start, whether it's cold and dark or fully up, the communication menu sometimes jams/freezes! I can't request startup, taxi and also the function buttons don't respond anymore. The tower even just sometimes gives a clearence without anyone requesting it .. I can display and remove the communication window but I cannot choose anything! It's like it's freezing! I have tried giving everyone a different callsign since I thought this might cause the problem but it did not help! It also does NOT seem to use the callsign I assign to the plane .. weird! Does anyone else encounter this problem ? Regards

@Direwolf Thank you for your offer but we wish to remain our own group. @Crazyowl This is no problem! We have two other members from the U.S. with no problems whatsoever! @Robert Replied

Hi everyone, A current online squadron, who shall remain nameless for now, is starting the search for pilots. Our main goal is to train, practice missions and participate in campaigns. These campaigns shall either be hosted/created by us or we will try to participate in campaigns hosted by other SQ's who are in search of participating SQ's We are a group of currently 4 enthusiastic persons who like to have fun and enjoy mainly the A-10C simulator and fun! For us this means flying with a dedicated and professional attitude with the occasional laugh in between! If you posess other FC skills then these are welcome for future purposes. Our skills vary from novice, intermediate to very skilled. Are you: - 18 years of age or older ( exeptions can be made ) - Equipped with TS3 and TARS ( when it's updated ) - Willing to take flightlead ( no flightlead experience is required ) - In possession of BASIC mission building skills - At least available once a week/2 weeks - Good in communicating then you might be something for us! Send me a quick PM after which I will try and do my best in replying you a.s.a.p with a place where you can register and will be invited for a future-flight! This will not be a check flight but just to see a little of who you are and what your skill level is. Our main group is from the UK but we have experience with pilots from the US as wel. Regards

sorry guys but what I do not understand yet is do I need Servman in order for slmod to work ? or is slmod independent ?

Hi Sierra, rgr! I will try this then .. cheers

@Macross: Thanks for your answer Macross. This is something I have to try out. Honestly I have never asked anybody outside of the network to have a look. I will try this. @ENO Thank you for your reply. I will keep the settings on LAN. I have tried all options but just no dice! My server is physically connected to my WIFI-router. This router is connected to a modem. The router should be configured accordingly.. I do not understand ..

No it's just the standard windows firewall. I've checked the box for for both local and outside connections allowed!

Hi ,BRooDJeRo, Thanks for you reply! Yes, I selected the option Internet, ADSL256... And on the router the ports 10308 untill 10309 TCP/UDP are forwarded to a computer name which is linked to a static IP address.. I really have no clue ... Funny thing is that is is showing when I am searching the LAN servers .. so somehwere it's blocked! Aaargh! Cheers

Hiyah, I'm sorry to bother you guys with a question asked a million times but I cannot seem to wrap my head around it. - I have a 64bit Windows 7 with a fair configuration. - DCS World 1.2.3 installed - Valid genuine key for DCS A10C - Connected in my WLAN / Port forwarding ( 10308 ) / Firewall approved - New server selected, internet option, port 10308, password protected The damn thing does not pop up in the server list, it does in the LAN list .. can anybody tell me what I am missing here ? Again sorry but i'm going nuts! Are there some LUA files I need to tamper with or ? Regards

Hi Hyphara, Very good, we all are also UTC and UTC+1 so that's great!! Primarily we are searching for CA drivers and/or BS pilots BUT for sure you are welcome as an A10 Pilot if that is what you wish! Could you inform me about your general availability ? Cheers

Hi, Me and the SQ i'm flying in would like to try out some time against or with a CA user! Is there/are there any Combined Arms enthousiast/ethousiasts that would like to go online and do some battles with/against A10C and BS pilots ? Let me know if you are interested! PM or whatever you like! Cheers

Hi Chain, I replied your PM but I do not know whether you have received it ? Seems to bounce back!

Also very nice to know about the I5 and I7 processors .. I'm planning to solely use my PC for DCS so .. I5 would do ... I guess ?

First of all, thanks for the many very informative and helpful posts! I have visited multiple fora before and I was not welcomed in such a descent manner as here, so thanks for that! I seem to have misjudged the required budget. I'm sort of starting to think I will have to invest a lot in order to get things going the way I want! But considering the fact that this simulation absolutely rocks I am willing to spend a bigger amount of money. But the little child in wants it all today and since this is not possible, I will have to spread it out over the months. It will take time but the vids I have seen .. it will be totally worth it. I just hope by the time I have the rig I need you guys will still be online simming DCS A10-C ;-) Once again, many thanks for the effort you all have put in this topic helping me .. I really appreciate it! Kind regards..

Hi cichlidfan, Thanks for the reply and welcome! I sort of expected the phrase to be a bit trivial! You are right, with a sim like this you can never have to much! Let's say my budget limits around the 500 to maximum 600 euro, which is approx 775 dollars so I think this could bring me quite far! As for you, do you have any performance issues? Or are you running at max? Thanks!

Hello everybody, I recently was able to take the step in buying the DCS A-10C simulator, awesome! Next obstacle is the rig I'm supposed to set up in order to use this simulator accordingly! I have been searching and comparing a lot but I can't seem to get a good picture on what the best hardware choice would be! I don't want to spend too much which gives me too much performance but I also don't want to end up short in performance ... Now, I am a little bit afraid of the recommended requirements published on the website .. are these recommended requirements really the requirements for a good framerate and simulator experience ? Should I go for an intel i7 or an AMD Phenom ( like they say on the website ) processor. It's difficult since there are so many choices and there are huge price differences. What rig would you basically recommend for a good simulator experience against a realistic price ? Maybe some of you could post their rig specs who have a good performance .. this would give me some guidelines... If this thread was opened all ready, can anybody please redirect me to this topic please :) Many thanks in advance!
