i have a few questions about the r27et since it is the only long range missile that is very close to a fire and forget kind..now is it possible to launch the missile and turn off ur radar so it would seem to the enemy that he is safe? does the missile have enough brains to seek the target after reaching its waypoint? this is what ive tried: 5-10 secs after i get the LA ..i fire the missile and 3-6 secs into the launch turn off the radar. this is su33 vs f 15 both at 5000 and doing 700km/h about 40-50 km apart,head on. ive had mixed results sometimes the missile tracks it and sometimes it doesnt(checked using f6 view). and sometimes the f-15 tries to doge the missile...how does he do that? is the a.i able to recognize smoke trails?...because my radar is switched off. could some please explain the working of the R27et in detail?...right from lauch to terminal stage. do u guys use this technique online? seems usable to me.

ha ha...u just spotted my intentions. i was actually wondering if it would be possible to model the su 35 in a future ed sim....would be a superb multi role fighter.but yeah limited info about the plane would be a probelm for the ed team. about bombing ... im actually having trouble lining up for the run...what altitude to start the dive, the speed? the angle of approach? to me it seems u require a rather steep angle wiht the russian jets. oh you really dont know how bad i want fc but none of the shops have it where i live...perhaps some1 from india on these forumms can help me out. oh and do u have a read me of all the features and enhancments to the original planes and gameplay worked on in flaming cliffs?

hey guys...ive been an observer on these forums for some time now, not really participated that often, but i hav a few questions that id like to be answered. im playing 1.02 1)ive noticed the f-15c has better manuevrability compared to the russian jets like the su27, 33 and mig 29..and doesnt stall that easily during tight turns, is this true in real life as well? im guessing it has something to do with higher -ve stability and onboard flight copmuters.? 2)there is no training on how to drop bombs with the su33 and mig 29 and it really seems difficult and requires a steep diving approach...are there any tutorials? or just some general information would do wonders! 3)how much similar is the su 35 compared to the su 33 ...ofcourse avionics left alone coz they are always upgradable ...im talking about the airframe and structure? recently ive been fascinated by the su 35....wots the latest status? is it in service? any thoughts about the su 35? thnx in advance.

actually the us have promised a spin off with the f35 in case india goes ahead with the f16(whatever tht means)...its in the newspaper here they've also offered the f18 superhornet

i was just curious....it is still my choice, the tews and the tws modes on the f15 are just damn amazing! but i just cant seem to get the aim120 to work properly, a very poor hit ratio although the russian missiles seem much more effective, ive set missile accuracy to 75-80 %.

no i dont have fc...just lockon:combat air simulation(the european ver i believe) got the patch from the ubi site way back. saved it to 2 locations cd and hd..both give the same error was working till i reinstalled xp, it might have something to with the may hot fix but im not sure. so there's no way to manually extract the files?

hey, i recently formatted my partition and reinstalled xp pro + sp2 and the following: dx update june forceware 93.71 windows may hot fix specs:xfx7600gs, e6300, msi p96neo-f,1gb ram then installed locas and then tried applying 1.02 but during the unpacking of sounds i got this error: Ms vc++ runtime library runtime error e:\lomac\deogg.exe abnormal program termination never happened to me before! when i close it using taskmanager it says patch applied sucessfully, but then durinmg game some sounds are missing and some r mixed up like for instance the warning sounds of the rwr in the f-15 when a new radiation is detected are missing. what's going on? is there a way to unpack the files in a different location and later copy paste to the locas directory? thnx in advance

how much amount of data do u think would be sent and recieved during lets say an hour of online flying in lock on?

wow! sounds very interesting. what kinda connections(speeds) do u guys have? im gonna get broadband myself in a month or two but i was kinda confused between these two plans: speed - dnld/upld - actual speeds(tried it at a few places) 256kbps - unlimited - 16-25kBps 2mbps - 2.5gb(unlimited btwn 2am - 8 am) - 100-200kBps so which 1 do u guys think would be better?.. the 256 plan would be good for downloading and surfing all day without worrying about additional bills, the 2mbps is damn fast but would require me to work at odd hours especially for heavy downloads and online gaming. could u guys list ur speeds(and actual speeds) and what would be good for online gamming? thnx

hey kuky could u clear up a few things for me. what is the difference between the two, landloddistances and camera? what is lo1 annd l12? also what do the two arguments within the paranthesis denote? right now i would like just the vehicles and buildings to show up farther away nothing else...how do i go about doing that? o btw im playing lock on:cas patched to 1.02 thanks!

sorry for hijacking your thread but i have a couple of questions. ive been away for a while now .. back when we had the ubi forums. now i understand ed is working on an add-on bs for lomac, and there was talk about a new sim after this that was supposed to be the f-16 i believe. so when will they start work on it or have they already srapped it?

by bigger u mean transports right? ... ive been inside an an-32 and wow was it small ! ..i mean the navigator seat looked like it was made for a 10yr old. about the g...yea im aware short guys pulling more g's is obvious but good health an some strong abdominal muscles also go a long way in making sure ur blood stays where its suppose to. oh and did i mention im a footballer..play for my college team and health wise i c no problems but yea height sure seems to get in2 the way. too bad they dont allow you to customize ur jets..ha ha imagine ejecting sofas and recliners! do you guys personally know any tall pilots? oh and check out the russian adventure sites that allow joy rides in the mig 29's and the sukhois they mention a max height of 6'9...wow!

hello ppl, just completed my graduation and now im free at home with nothing to do all day, so i do a lot of useless thinking nowadays...and one major concern that has popped up in my mind is, recently i applied for the indian air force and my interview date will be coming some time in oct for the jan08 course. i have a tall structure just under 6'5" weighing 80-82 kgs and a shoe size 11uk that would be size 12 us, leg length somewhere around 110 cms. in the ad they mentioned a minimum height of 152 cms nd a leg lenght between 100 and 120 cms....120 cms??? that wud be way to tall dont u think? now where do i get the standards for heigth and leg lengths for various aircrafts like the il76,an32,su30,mig29,mig21,mirage 2000,jaguar. how do i make sure that i'll fit into them? oh nd pls feel free to slap me if i sound stupid :)
