  1. Sigh. It is NOT a modification, certainly not in the sense "It was moded after it was finished". It was a late add on to the Su-33 series, only one operation frame has it as far as i know (b/n 88 ) and b/n 70 as on display at KnAAZ. b/n 70 has it because it is a late Su-33 which was never completely finished and never handed over.
  2. Not unless you count soviet time as new.
  3. Well, comparing pictures would sort that question, wouldnt it? Nothing substantial, pretty much to increase the service life. Second batch of Su-27SM's had uprated engine. Yes and yes. lol no Things & stuff. :)
  4. As pointed out, this is ooooooooooooooold program. They know exactly what the RCS section is for the different angles of this test article, which makes it perfect to either use as calibration or test new stuff on it. Why do you think F-117 is still used under F-35 program? For fun?
  5. MiG-31BM doesn't and cannot use R-37. Theoretically they are supposed to get R-37M's (better known as RVV-BD) but it hasn't happened yet.
  6. Russian, not Ukrainian.
  7. Agreed. And apparently so does VVS. Same thing with some uninformed fanboyz either believing that T-50 will carry more than 6 missiles internally or act like they hold teh thruthz that it *does* carry more than 6. (with no proof to back it)
  8. Come on guys, you are helping him too much. :D It would be oh-so-entertaining to see him figure it out for himself.
  9. I suggest you read carefully one more time. After that do some googling. I suggest Paul Metz + interview for starters. Of course we won't know the exact top speed. We don't need to either. There is plenty of pointers of what *range* the top speed is in, for example from the famous Paul Metz interview.
  10. 2016 (31.12.16 to be precise is deadline per MoD doc) is the year when T-50 will achieve IOC and first serial ones will be handed over. I am also skeptical about the radioscanner quote, as much as i would like for it to be true. But as said, there is no real, reliable source for that quote.
  11. Ahem. Su-47 has carried dummy weapons years before T-50 even flew, do you have x-ray vision to say that they haven't been flying with internal weapons for a long long time? Indian Air Force official says a lot of dumb sh!t. They are better to be ignored. It is amazing how people are just unable to use simple logic. 1: T-50 has more thrust 2: T-50 has less drag 3: Top speed of T-50 is NOT limited by its engine considering for example Su-35S has less thrust, more weight and more drag and yet greater top speed. Eh, F-22 is not mach 2. It is much faster. What? F-35 does have it, F-22 as far as i know, doesn't.
  12. Oooooooold info. Apparently originally from radio scanners yes, but the first place i have seen it on was in sdelanounas blog/news site comments. So impossible to verify for sure. What is your source for the quote?
  13. Of course it is. That has been known for a long time. And discussed here multiple times. Depends on your vastly. But it is a fair bit more than "200 kph or so". Whether it matters or not, i don't care about. I like fast planes as much as the next guy, but for me, that is where MiG-31 comes in. Whenever they fix the canopy/windsheild issues that is. If anything everything points to them not going flat nozzle route. I have even read than nozzle from 117/177S will be used on Izd.30. Source seemed thrust able, but we will see. When you are ignorant, at the very least don't be arrogant about it.
  14. Visas or no visas, none of the planes you have mentioned were to take part in display anyway. So what are you b!tching about exactly?
  15. Jesus tapdancing christ, you just had to quote all the pictures, didnt you?
  16. Best? Easy, Su-35S:
  17. Plenty of stuff can ignite in an aircraft. Yes, there are plasma generators in PAK-FA but before this thread goes full retard it is used to start the engines. Watch out everyone, we have an experten on hands here.
  18. You really have to work on your reading comprehension. For the last time. Engines are not the reason why top speed is limited to Mach 2.
  19. Because Russian generals are known to never talk out of their arses from time to time. It is not official anything. It is limited not because of the engines, that should be perfectly clear all things considered.
  20. Or maybe, just maybe, Zelin is simply a talking head?
  21. Eh, what doesn't look normal? They always do that.
  22. Yes, T-50-7 will be a new static test frame. Yes.
  23. Every single prototype have had changes in one way or another. I have a feeling you are referring to a post that was made prior to T-50-5's first flight about how fantastically different it was from previous prototypes, but that was a post that has been proven to be almost 100% wrong.
  24. Changes? Against what?
