They arrived on 31st Jan. Very easy to put together, recognised by Windows/DCS with no problems. I'm very impressed with the accuracy and having the damper is a game changer for flying helicopters. I removed the spring and replaced it with an elastic band as I found the spring was a bit too strong. I'll hunt down a weaker one to replace the elastic band. The only real criticism I'd have is that with the damper turned up they do lift off the floor a bit when pressing the pedals. To combat this (I have a carpeted floor under my desk) I just laid a strip of heavy duty velcro and then put the hook-side of the velcro on the aluminium bar. Now they stay put and I can also put them away when not in use. I've had Saitek, and both the TCM and TPR Thrustmaster pedals in the past and these are my favourite for helicopter flying (and I can just turn the damper down for fixed wing). Pii, if you hadn't posted that review I wouldn't have got these. So, thank you, your service is appreciated! ;)

Glad I found this thread - very hard to find much else out on the inter webs about these. I've just ordered mine from Amazon.uk with damper for £220, which ties in with average eBay price + customs duty. Ordered 12th Jan - Estimated delivery 25th Jan - 1st Feb. I'll report back if delivery estimate was accurate and my initial feelings also. Oh, and here's the link on Amazon.UK if anyone is considering these. GEST SN-1 Rudder Pedals w Damper

1. I'm trying to do a basic Respawn of a ground unit and everything works perfectly, except I can't figure out how to 'delay' the respawn by x seconds. Could anyone please provide me a quick example? 2. Is there a way of de-spawning a unit? i.e. air unit returns to airfield, shuts down engines then de-spawns. TIA to any MIST geniuses out there.

solved VR - Blue cockpit lighting only rendering in one eye.
Grenadey replied to Grenadey's topic in Bugs and Problems
@Volk., yes that's the one - I had tooltips turned off so couldn't remember what it was called - it is the NVG compatible cockpit lighting. @Flappie, that was it - fixed - many thanks! -

Can't remember the name of the toggle switch but it's on the right rear wall panel next to the white cockpit lighting toggle. When turned on the blue light only renders in one eye for VR. -
I'll be a bit clearer - If I spawn a tanker 'Tanker' using Moose then the AI F15s won't escort it. If I don't use Moose, they'll escort it. Any ideas why?
-
I've got a tanker spawned using Moose (and it re-spawns on engine shutdown), I want a pair of F-15s to escort it, and also to re-spawn on engine shutdown. The problem is that they always end up taking off before the tanker and then just fly off into the distance, what am I doing wrong?

I just dropped an L1 or L2 mark in F10 directly on the middle of the runway. Does the job.
-
As the title, I know I can use B numbers for waypoints, M numbers for tgt waypoints but how do I set an alternate landing airfield in the F10 map? Ok, found it after searching properly. LS, L1 and L2 will do what I need.

Up until the last update I was able to export the EPS13 sight to a second monitor. Now I can't find the folder with the init.lua file for it. Anyone know if it's still possible and if so where's the init.lua file for it? Thanks Grenadey

Is anyone else having issues with showing labels on the 25 open beta? Labels is on in options LSHFT + F10 doesn't do anything Any ideas?

Can we have this little Huey feature in our BS?
Grenadey replied to sylkhan's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
After years of getting used to re-centering the pedals with the G940 I recently just removed the centering spring. All of the choppers in DCS are much easier to fly now. Now all I need is a simple (cheap) way to get that 'damped' feel into them. -
Very nice. Perfect for the ipad.
-
Haha, I did the same, that damn spring in the pedals needs to come out.
-
Thanks Marker, that seems fairly straightforward. I'll give it a go tonight when I get back from work.
-
+1 for that. Would be handy to get Helios running on an ipad.
-
Awesome, about time my Huey had a decent paint job. Thanks nickmow, bloody brilliant.

Awesome video!

MSFFB2 stick - AMAZING - I hope the FM doesn't change

If only Logitech had reverse engineered the FFB mechanism for the G940..... -
No worries, I had my head down looking under my desk not out of the window for quite a lot of that flight (obviously not when I was doing the autorotation). I don't take any comments personally, if I did I'd probably never go anywhere near any forum on the internet. ;)
-
Haha, yeah, normally I would, but I wanted to throw it around a bit to test the joystick extension. Works surprisingly well.... ;)

Just thought I'd share my first successful combat autorotation. :pilotfly: http://youtu.be/ec8BljspL9Y
