Was wondering what peoples thoughts were, (particularly ED, mvsgas and shadowXP) on using the CIRCA 2008 systems update instead of 2007 so our f-16 could use JSOW's. Just thought that would balance the playing field with the f-18 a little more as far as loadout is concerned. Obviously just asking for obvious reasons why this wouldn't be a good idea? I'm sure there is lots of complex issues that would prevent this or make it very difficult.

Are they? I'm not looking to simulate the look flights of a strategic bomber from remote airbases. So other then that why are the maps to small? Second that seems like a limitation/design choice that should be resolved If not for things like B-1 or B-52 but for the WWII aircraft. I'm sure there are plenty of quad engine aircraft people would like to fly.

This response is like saying whats the point of ED putting in the F-5e when the F-18 is far more capable. Come on its not about what would we use it for its just the fun of having a new type of air-frame to try new things with. Why wouldn't you do carpet bombing? Just because cruise missiles are far more effective and advanced doesn't mean you cant use the air-frame if we dont get them. Thats like saying dont use the F-14 it doesn't have Aim 9x's

Multiplayer? I could see one of these providing great strike potential while some hornets provide cap and sead. IDK why is everyone being so critical just thought it would be cool and interesting. At the very least I asked just to find out if it was feasible.

Any chance we could get a strategic bomber like the B-1 Lancer? Really think it would help flesh out the experience you guys at ED are building with DCS.

If you want a force sensing stick that is a replica of the F-16 but dont want to spend a fortune. I would suggest buying a used X-65 off ebay. I own an X-65 and lots of my VFW members do as well. Great stick for flight sims, not as good as a vkb or virpil product but that being said those sticks are not force sensing. The only issue I have with it is it doesnt move at all and the throttle uses the same old saitek detent system that sucks. Well Technically the f-16 stick is a force sensing stick unlike the hog. So they would need to make one like the X-65 to be similar. The grips are the same though.

No I haven't had this issue at least not with the STT my issue is that the profiles I've downloaded simply do not work when i load them into the stick and launch dcs none of the controls do as there supposed to...:(

Yeah thanks Clark very much appreciate this should help a lot. The very basics of flight I have down and am already plugging in the profile simple stuff really; its the weapons and electronic systems that have me at odds the tutorial for the SU-25t isn't very good either feels like a robot spitting instructions to you but with no practice time. He's just like "here this is how you do this! Now go do it with out any actual training or practice just a video" lol and yeah defiantly up for organized missions but I'm assuming you guys are running FC2 or 3 either way I only have the free dcs world and if I was going to spend money it would either be A-10 module or FC3 :)

Yeah defiantly can use the joystick just fine. Ran a quick mission lifted the bird up flew around a bit did a few maneuvers fired some of the weapons(accidentally idk how I launched those rockets ). But my issue is programming the stick I first tried downloading a profile but none worked then I tried making one myself and I was just lost compared to sims like X-plane and FSX I'm in a whole new world so I just felt overwhelmed a bit basically just need some basic tips and guidelines for stick programming and general gameplay

Hey does anyone have a profile or at least some guidelines I can use for a programming a profile for the Saitek X52 (not pro version) for DCS world SU-25t. I am experienced at flight sims and cant wait to get into DCS so I'm trying the free one but unfortunately I'm having trouble setting up my joystick and I cant play the game without it. Ive downloaded several profiles but sadly none have worked please help!!! :(
