  1. They didn't use mirrors because it killed the frame rate. That and incoming B17 formations caused a lot stutters. I'm sure I saw a Rall Youtube interview on this. It is on the INTERNET if you do a search.
  2. Really quick question-I'm so use to using the DCS simulator start up for the A-10C I was just wondering-do you have to follow the EXACT same sequence on start up provided in the campaign. Or are you tested/graded that you hit all the right switches just not in the same sequence to start the A-10.
  3. Thanks to both of you for the quick response. Yes tries as might I couldn't get them in game.
  4. HAHAHAAH now that is an issue with modern aircraft in flight sims. Can developers patch the aircraft up to the latest system are we all consigned to fly pre-owned (yesterdays models)??? Everyone would like the latest BLOCK model. Be nice to have the latest-but I doubt it-the expense/time/availability of programmers.
  5. I found them in User Files at DCS site- say you don't have to pay anymore. Look like fun little missions. I'd pay-if you have to pay. As I recall they were $1.00 each. If you download them they don't show up in the mission menu. My Black Shark 2 is patched up all the way. Do they work in latest BK2????? http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/216084/?sphrase_id=4181289 http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/214763/?sphrase_id=4181289
  6. Still waiting for the Shuttle's English manual.
  7. Thanks Harle. Really appreciate it. Having no luck with the online pdf translator I used on the Mi-8 DCS Russian manual. Tried all afternoon. GOOGLE translates it to English-but there are no pictures. :crash: Still trying. ______________________ Sorry-no luck can't get it to translate.
  8. FWIW-I tried to run it through an online translator of pdf. From Russian to English. Didn't work. :(
  9. Check this string. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=135055&page=4
  10. Yeah I noticed that to BFBUNNY-but sometimes my throttle is a bit open and I forget to disconnect and then my ground chief gives me hell as I jump the chocks.:megalol:
  11. july865 Go TO ----> C:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bazar\Terrain\Kneeboard and you can create subfolders for your checklists-they will only show when you are in that specific aircraft module. Anything outside that subfolder-like maps in my screenshot will show. Real niffty. Note the names on the subfolders they have to have THOSE SPECIFIC names or they won't show. Subfolder names I know of Uh-1H TF-51D Su-33 Su-27 Su-25T Su-25 P-51D MiG-29S Mi-8MT Ka-50 FW-190D9 F-86F Sabre F-15C A-10C A-10A
  12. Thanks Socket7. That seems to do the trick somewhat. I have been holding the oil dilution switch down for 10 seconds then 30 seconds later start her up. Not as 'war-weary' as before. FWIW I'm starting up in summer environment. I spotted this string when putting oil dilution in forum string search. Glad to know It really appears to be a bug. Hope it gets fixed. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=135055&highlight=oil+dilution
  13. I think I played enough with the starter in the TF-51D-looked at the manuals, checklist on the kneeboard, watched all the instructinal 'startup' youtubes and searched the forum strings on this subject to say- The starter has a bug. Too random the failures and if it was this hard there would have been a mountain of burnt out starters in England. Some days I get it turning over and other days.... Too quirky to be real. :joystick: Still and all I intend to get the P-51D module because I like the fidelity of the takeoff, and flight and landings. Really hard bird to master right. But the starter-it's bugged.
  14. Hey when Yeager took it for a spin you think he had one? :joystick: With DCS international community I'm sure someone can help with translations on pertinent data. English manual I haven't found.....yet. :D https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4WdULP5kioDbjFueGJHRXBqbFE/view?usp=sharing It's about 87 pages and weighs in at 65 megs. Appears to have Mig 17 info to. {Compare pg 31 and pg 36 of the pdf} Have Fun! __________________ If there is a problem viewing or downloading do post-and I will see what can be done to share it some other way. Downloads fine-viewing online appears some pgs don't load sometimes. But it's all there if you download.
  15. They had one for the Mi-8 before the English DCS manual was released. If there was a Russian manual I could run it through an online translator like I did the Mi-8 DCS Russian manual-that translates pdf's in various languages. Tried GOOGLING and a forum search and didn't find anything except sources for real flight manuals. Really love this little BETA.
  16. Thanks for getting back. I see what your saying. Just ran Mi-8 and have to change some skins. I have too many mods and tweaks in DCS World.:joystick:
  17. Subject says it all. I got fix dig out the file for the blue cockpit mod to KA-50 and a bunch of the other mods I did (load screen/minimal ID's/skins...). I mean really-the updates have to wipe out everything with cockpit color. One time all my missions with modded skins were altered-nothing but yellow/orange KA-50's. I'm sure this update screwed up other modules to.
  18. Yeah I had some problems to. But I translated it for you in French. I did no editing-any mistakes are the translator. Download the French translation here. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4WdULP5kioDRHJicmVOWmtMZVk/edit?usp=sharing I don't do this often-it should work now to view/download. :D
  19. I should add the online translator has various languages it will translate to (German, French, Croatian I recall seeing). So your manual DOES NOT have to be English. Use the online translator link in my first post to translate whatever copy you downloaded i.e. Flagrum's Russian or my English one to what ever language you may want.
  20. 10.2 Megs of translated goodness. The beta translator translated the Russian Mi8MTV2 manual for the Mi 8 flight sim beta into English. What you see is what I got. I did NO editing. Just translating -formatting looks good. English translation of most current Russian Mi8MTV2 sim manual :D https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4WdULP5kioDMkM0cUY0QkhzT0E/edit?usp=sharing Please share. .
  21. Thanks Flagrum. Let me retreat to the laboratory and see what I come up with. I'll be back.
