It's not like we're all sat in full physical pits here A few extra buttons that a real pilot would need often and be easily able to find by feel seem fine to stick on the HOTAS (to me). There's no right or wrong here.

Agreed - my MCG has 5 4-way+push hats plus other buttons. I'm sure the real aircraft don't have that but I use all of them a lot of the time

Cool - wasn't sure how closely it had been modelled to a real one. I love mine. Being able to change some of the buttons/hats/sticks around is great to make it how you want it too.

2 year old VGC Next Level Racing cockpit for sale, as I've upgraded to an MTS setup. Comes with all the various accessories, many of which haven't ever been used, bolts, fasteners and the manual. Only modification is that the centre mount was cut down to allow me to use an extension. It still goes up pretty high so I think it would be fine for non-extended bases also. Seat is in good condition with no tearing of the seams etc. Happy to answer any questions! Collection only from Maidenhead, though open to meeting somewhere in the middle if that helps someone out. Looking for £400 ONO.

Ahh we're seeing this on MP servers e.g. Shadow Reapers. No idea if they have mods running that would affect this. I might see if I can set up a test scenario to recreate in SP.

I'm getting this a lot on the new Germany map - I'm flying low behind trees and AAA are shooting at me from KMs away through the trees. So maybe it's map specific???

Fairly sure I've had Jester release flares for me in a dogfight?

Nope - just spawned in the air in the F-14 and was dogfighting a mate of mine. Looked back and noticed I was leaving a flare trail. I didn't change any ME settings for the jet when I created it either.

Flying last night against some buddies Jester was definitely deploying flares for me without asking.

I swapped to the new DLSS4 and preset K, and I still get ghosting around the edges of aircraft in flight with DLAA. So it definitely doesn't eliminate all ghosting. Went back to MSAA.

For him in non-VR yeah probably - I only added that to illustrate the size of the gain....

Been tinkering with settings over the weekend to try and improve DCS performance, and the setting that made the most difference for me, for the least impact, was turning off the Terrain Object Shadows. Ok so you don't get shadows from the thousands of trees and buildings, but do I really notice when going Mach 1 or concentrating on a bogey? No, and the shadows were often pretty janky anyway. I got enough performance back to use MSAA 4x, and up my PD to 1.4. The game has never looked better for me in VR...... Suggested it to my mate and his non-VR FPS went from 120 to 210 just from doing this.
