  1. Awesome, I'll play with it. I didn't notice any X, Y, Z options in the Follow dialog (just setting which unit to follow... it was probably right there under it, wasn't it?) but I will go back and fiddle. Thanks again!
  2. If I set the additional groups to "follow", should I still set specific waypoints for them? I copy/pasted the lead plane, then set the pasted plane to "follow" and he actually started flying faster then the lead plane even though both were set to 250mph through their waypoints. Thanks again!
  3. Hello! I've been working on a mission in the DCS:W Mission Editor for v1.2.3. I want to spawn a group of Yak-40's (Ukraine) for the P-51D's to hunt down and shoot (though they are not critical to the overall success of the mission, just some fun stuff in the area) and naturally I'd like there to be a group of 2-3 planes flying in a formation for a P-51D to engage. Unfortunately, none of the planes in Ukraine's Transport aircraft type will spawn with more than a single unit, no matter how many units I set the group to hold. Is this a known bug or is this normal behavior? I did a quick search and didn't find anyone else posting about it. At the moment I'm spawning 2 separate groups and having them fly similar waypoints through the mountains but it's just not the same as having a group flying in a tight formation. Altitude also does not make a difference as I have set them from 8,000ft MSL (about 1500 ft agl) all the way up to 25,000ft MSL. Thanks!
  4. In case anyone is having trouble taxiing, taking off or landing the P-51D I put together a quick tutorial video. Hope it helps! wbGY20e9uZQ :pilotfly:
  5. Definitely the F/A-18C first, EDGE/Nevada in second.
  6. If I recall correctly, servers with passwords on them will immediately pop up a "Connection Interrupted" error. Also, when servers crash and/or end unexpectedly sometimes DCS will crash to desktop (at least it has for me in the past). Perhaps it isn't a matter of being banned it is a matter of trying to join password protected servers and/or joining a multiplayer game and then having the host exit to add a password to a game that he didn't realize was not passworded to begin with? I usually host games to play with my friends and just don't feel the need to allow random people I don't know into my games... so I password my games. If someone tries to join and forgets to enter the password or enters the incorrect one, they see a Connection Interrupted but I don't get any indication on my end that anyone is trying to join. I'm sure being in Australia limits your choices significantly, but are you sure you aren't trying to join password protected servers?
  7. Even with the current bugs, DCS is currently my favorite game. I'm hoping that eventually as the first and third party modules mature, and the DCS World engine is updated and optimized, the game begins to compete with the likes of the Battlefield and ARMA franchises, except more rooted in realism. Take your time with 1.2.3, it's fun as-is in 1.2.2 (just get your fill in some single player missions! Take the down-time to learn how to use the mission editor and create your own scenarios!) and a solid release is much more important than satiating the few vocal impatient ones. Just keep up the weekly updates so we know things are still moving along and we'll get 1.2.3 when we get it. :D Great work on this simulator, guys!
