Hey guys... this is a weird one. I was taking off in a MP server when my F15 pitched up violently (w/o any input from me). I died/respawned and hit CTRL+Enter to see that my pitch input was at max range. Left the server, went into SP to check bindings, no issues there. I tried a quick mission and found everything working properly (no phantom input). Then, back to MP server and the same issue happens again. I try 4 different aircraft, same thing. When looking at my joystick in USB game controllers I see that it is not sending any input on its own. Other things I've tried: Reboot = no change Repair DCS = no repair necessary. Unplug all input devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Joystick, Throttle, Pedals) = no change. Upgrade to 1.2.12 beta = no change Remove Saved Games\DCS folder = no change I'm totally stumped... it was working find this morning and I have made no changes to my system since then. The issue -only- exists in multiplayer, which makes it even weirder. Any ideas? The only other thing I can think to try is reinstall.

Dear ED, what about tinted glass cockpits?

Cool... thanks for the info. -

Yep, I have no doubt that there are others here who are much more qualified than I am, just going by what I've seen. My best guess is that the amount of tinting varies from A-10 to A-10... for whatever reasons. FWIW, in this video you get several shots from inside the cockpit of this affect. -

The external view really has nothing to do with the first person view... I am -only- referring to what you see in first person, while flying. I agree that I can see a slight tint to the left/right windows w/o modification, but I'm not certain this is as true to the real thing as you're stating... maybe the level of tinting varies from application to application? I've only looked inside the cockpit of an A-10 once at an airshow, but I recall the windows being noticeably more amber... like the examples I re-posted yesterday. Also, what I was stating was "broken" was the use of the CEPEGA mod since some patch many years ago. Previously, the mod would only add the amber tint to the left/right panes, but currently, it also adds it to the center pane. -

Thank you very much... it looks like your file did the trick. I actually tried all three options from the download in the user files area... I'm not sure what happened to them to cause the center pane to also be yellow, but that problem does not exist in your copy. Rep added. -

Interesting... Any chance you could upload or send me your \Mods\aircraft\A-10C\Cockpit\Resources\Model\Textures\A_10C_C_EDM_TEX.zip file? Also, strange that the right pane doesn't appear to be modified in this screenshot... something to do with the angle? -

I've noticed it in external view as well, but I'm looking for the tinting in first person view... which works with CEPEGA's mod, but somewhere along the lines a patch screwed it up so that the center pane is also yellow. -

Same here... it's possible that I'm an idiot, and this is an option somewhere that I'm unaware of, but out of the box, the windscreens are clear. -

Resurrecting this thread to see if anyone has put together a workaround since whatever patch it was broke CEPEGA's mod. It still works if you place the file in the container's new location (Mods\aircraft\A-10C\Cockpit\Resources\Model\Textures\A_10C_C_EDM_TEX.zip), however, the center becomes yellow as well. Thanks in advance for any help you guys may be able to offer. -
Another day, another TrackIR issue
SubEclipse replied to MadCow's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thank you for posting this... This has been driving me insane all day. -
Thanks for the replies. After thinking about this a bit more, I set up some new commands that I like better for ATC than what I was using. Now the process is: "ATC" (sends F5) "one inbound" sends F1 then F1 I set up "one inbound" through "ten inbound", so for example "four inbound" would send F4 (for whatever airfield F4 is at the time), then F1 (for inbound).

Hey guys, I've been playing around with VoiceAttack in DCS to handle communication with ATC, JTAC, AWACS, Tanker, etc... Essentially removing the need to come off the hotas to press F keys when required. It works really well, but unfortunately you can't use commands like "Senaki inbound" because the airfields are sorted by distance, and their F keys are always different. So I'm using multiple commands like "ATC (sends F5), option 3 (sends F3), inbound (sends F1)". Is anyone aware of a way to sort the airfields in any other way? I assume it's a long shot, but who knows. Thanks.

Rudder Pedal Advice Request
SubEclipse replied to MadCow's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
CH Pro pedals here... I can't comment on the others, as these are all I've ever owned, but I'm happy with them. pyromaniac4002 nailed all the selling points, so I won't repeat what he's already covered. -
Question for TM Warthog owners
SubEclipse replied to SubEclipse's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks for the reply... I won't let it bother me then. It's really minimal in my case anyway, probably 1mm total travel. -
Question for TM Warthog owners

Good to know... Thanks for the replies. -
I had this problem originally as well... in my case, it was caused because I have my user profile on a drive other than C (E:\Users\myprofile\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts), but the DCS Virtual Server program saves the "Export.lua" file to C:\Users\myprofile\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts. All I had to do was manually move this file into the correct location and everything started working properly. Hope this helps.

Hey guys, Is it normal for there to be a little slop, allowing the joystick to be twisted slightly? (Same axis as if you had twist rudder). I've noticed this in mine lately... it's not much, (maybe 1/16-1/8" total travel) but I'm wondering how common this is. I should add that I'm the 2nd owner of this stick, and haven't had it long, so I don't know if it came this way or not. Also, I'm fairly familiar with the disassembly of the stick, but am not certain what actually prevents the stick from being twisted. Is it just the rectangular magnet piece being seated inside of the ball joint that stops the ability to twist it (see pic below)?

You can select INFLT on the CDU to perform an in flight INS alignment. The alignment takes longer than the ground alignment (complete at 5.5.0.9 I believe), but you can taxi/take off while it's running and just reference the TAD to get you to your steerpoint until it completes.

Working through slmod / MIST etc...
SubEclipse replied to ENO's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I have two servers currently... one of which runs Slmod 7 without any issues, the other is having the same problem that ENO is reporting here. I have attempted to reinstall Slmod as advised by Speed, but the problem persists. I also went as far as to reinstall DCSW, but that also did not fix the problem.
