How do updates work now? I started DCS but it just started the game and I ran the updater, from BIN, and nothing happened.

Set up a Touch-n-Go mission so you get used to the pattern, either right or left, your choice and the settings you need. If you can go TNG's easily the touch down is a breeze, It also helps you learn how to spot the different points you are at during an approach and makes it easier when you RTB from an odd angel. You soon find yourself just dropping into the pattern and following that into the runway. Or the ILS to the runway, depending on the weather.

Thank you. Just upgraded my joystick so I am trying to figure that out and waiting for a pair of rudder pedals. Got TeamSpeak up and running. and am used to TrackIR (should have bought THAT way earlier). Right now just dipping my toes into the wading pool as I get used to all the new settings and learning the new joystick assignments. Then I will wade in, looks like a lot of fun.

I was in the A-10A on Open Warfare. You server had a setting page didn't it? Also you server was not showing up last night. Maybe it was full?

Thanks. But I think there is a little more. I jumped in a plane and grabbed a load out. I did not know I had to wait, or watch for a message about the load out status. Thankfully as I was heading to the run way I looked and saw empty hard-points, which I think is a very bad thing going into combat. Plus the computer kept giving my call sign multiple instructions, some of which I just didn't get. Finally where can I find the terms I have heard folks use on the youtube videos, fox three, push, defensive, offensive and some others. Plus who the hell is the dude talking to all the planes, is that AWACS? Human AWACS?

I am new at this and right now just do simple training runs so I get used to the weapons and systems on the planes. Also to provide a way to control the engagements and allow me to learn what to look for. My question is this. I have a simple A-10A mission that I add to at the end of the mission via the editor, but, is there a way to save my previous situation and start from there and continuing the mission. I thought of this after finishing the last run, not really happy with the results but still managed to do some of the goals I wanted. Now I repaired and rearmed and changed the load out and thought it would be great to save it here so the next time I can continue with my new load but still have the rest of the targets left. Is this possible?

I wish when they had a sale like this they gave those of us with modules a discount for the parts of the package we do not have.

Today while working on the SU-25T I noticed that the Navigation Hud gives you the waypoint number in the bottom right corner of the screen, could that have been missed when they eliminated the HDD Datalink? Or was it as crude as three lights on a panel?

Yea, those lights would help, big time. As it is right now it is a bit of a guessing game where you are after doing a thing or two at a waypoint. Having said that I have not, as of yet, explored the kneeboard and perhaps there is something there that would help. Nice plane though.

Yea. I think something is missing. Reading up on the Mig 29 I see it shows the distance to the next waypoint and that is it, which really seems odd. There must have been someway to know which waypoint you are heading to. Trying to get back on course after a dogfight would be problematic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hello, So I was practising with the Mig-29 and trying to figure out which waypoint I was at and it got really confusing. Am I missing something? There is, from what I can see in the documentation, nothing that tells you which waypoint you are at. Do you really have to sort that out by looking at landmarks? Does the display change if the waypoint is behind you? Thanks,

Okay just saw two videos of a person with the HDD not looking like the HUD. How do I do that?

I still cannot explain why the keys sometimes work and then other times they do not. Well I found something out. Seems that some of the buttons only respond when you push them a certain way. Try out the Profiler.

It maybe where you assigned the joy_button? From what I see you assigned it to the Switch (Schalter) which makes it a one push action while Modifier (Modifikatoren) is the one you hold while pressing the alternate button. I made the same mistake when I first started setting up my controls. I am also thinking that not saving to separate profiles may be an issue. This youtube channel is pretty good and that guide has some interesting points.

Just setting up my own modifiers, based on the one by zuff. For trim I have joy_button7 set as a modifier for the HAT. Still working on this as there are so many planes, but very worth it.

The original post shows as Intentionally Blank. So would someone kindly clue me in as I enjoy the Dora but cannot figure out the trim. Yes I know the elevator is the only trim and I have that but some yaw and roll would be nice. Thank you. BTW great module.
