251 comments and nobody knows if this is just a one trick pony for the MI-8 If it's a generic multipurpose aircraft one, for those aircraft that will support it - it's a buy from me. If it's just for the MI-8 and you expect us to buy it each time for every aircraft we have than you will sour me further with your DLC model and I'll need to consider more carefully in future what companies I support. The whole idea of software is to get around these 'physical' issues.

Ok as a small/large update. Since doing some tests, after installing either BS2, P51 OR Huey... I can replicate issues that cause CTDs on BS2, Huey and A10C Starting any quick mission on A10C causes CTD pressing b or P within Huey or BS2 causes CTD. Oh dear :-/ I was playing A10C last night fine on an MP, going to try that again now to see if it still works. Huey, BS2 and P51 were installed since today.

Having not had this module long, or the patience to go through and check all the buttons that crash it. While running ANY mission in game mode, pressing B P and other keys will instantly, reliably and repeatedly crash the game to desktop. An issue that surprises me sadly with the quality of the game and previous modules. b -- crash 115851 p -- crash 120258 I have included the log files of both above crashes Any help would be greatly appreciated. ok... it appears that regardless of installation (steam or retail) The crash log location is ACTUALLY in <Your drive>\users\<your username>\saved games\DCS\Logs\ thanks

Hi, I'm trying to report a crash with BS2, however I don't know where the temp folder is. I went to the usual Program files\Steam\steamapps\common\DCSWorld I then tried \Mods\aircrafts\KA-50\ But I see no temp folder.... Maybe it has not been created, but knowing where it should be would help Thanks!

I'm having the same issues :( I own Huey, A10c, flaming cliffs 3, combined arms and BS2... one touch of the b key and instant CTD

One strange thing I should clarify - I think I may have it currently installed twice - once with steam and once standalone DCS World. (due to having FC3 installed also) I'm only getting the issue with the Steam install. cheers EDIT: and now I notice there has been a partial DCS update on steam.

Hey guys, Has anyone had false positives etc with Avast Antivirus and any DCS related game? I just got a notification that combined arms could be Win32:Evo-gen. Cheers, Not suggesting it IS a virus - but wanted anyone elses experiences with DCS and avast.

Ok, in the process of trying not to confuse you further, I have confused you further, myself further and neither am I any the wiser. First of all, I tried those missions you linked and they seem pretty good! - so cheers for that, my only slight concern is that with so many MP aircraft not used - how does the rest of the game handle difficulty? Regarding mission creation, I had a fiddle with the mission editor and I've found pretty much what you guys have said. As long as the unit is set to client you can fly it regardless of if you have the module or not (fly in the slackest sense of the word) Can you confirm one other question I have that has arisen from your comments? Is it possible to have two fighter squadrons, 1 player and the rest AI on both sides? Blue 1x player 2x AI Red 1x Player 2x AI

Hey, One of my friends is thinking about playing DCS (huey) I have the Combined arms and A10C modules. Are there any MP missions made for A10/huey coop? Would it be easy to add in combined arms if you don't have the huey addon yourself? Actually - is it simply possible to A) Add different player controlled aircraft (preferably with wingmen) to a mission or task (i.e Frogfoot and A10) B) add a player controlled object for a product you don't own such as the huey expansion. Thanks. It seems kinda obvious that you should, especially if you own the 'combined arms' module.

And I see DCS is now updated and I can activate via steam using my store/site purchased combined arms key :D (just wanted to add this reply for people that come across this thread)

I did actually find that post, however screwing the steam install felt a little over the top. I'll give up again for a few months. I used to play CA while it was in beta and it was hardly worth the hassle then. That has probably likely not changed.

Heya, I'm just really looking for a little clarification. I found the eagle dynamics games originally through Steam and bought A10. After realising at the time Steam was still trying to sell Blackshark at full price while BS2 was out I decided to give up on steam for any DCS related games. So that comes to now, all the games are on Steam and I own DCS world, A10 and Combined Arms. I installed DCS World from steam and it has automagically activated it for A10. Is there an easy guide or way to now merge Combined Arms? I would LOVE to be able to activate combined arms on steam and really hope they manage to sort something out with Valve, but in the meantime is there anything I can do? I did a search regarding combined arms but didn't come up with much. cheers, Ian

thanks guys :) I had started a few missions but not had the best joy with it so far, I sorted out the login so I can get into MP now! Mjeh, I'll need to check that video! I had a look on youtube for CA materials, I realise it's beta but I couldn't find anything more than tests and demos. No real 'lets plays' or tutorials... And you have one :( I feel more newbish now lol.

Hi guys, I've been a huge sim fan for years, M1 Tank Platoon etc onwards. I had a great stick once while I was going through a helo phase (enemy engaged) but it ended up dying and so far I've not replaced it. This has been fine for me although a few months ago I bought DCS A10 and realised that to really play the game you NEED a stick. So, sadly I gave up with the A10 sim and just kept playing ArmaII. Anyway, I had been toying about with various things and decided to give combined arms a go... I used to play the harpoon games a lot years ago and thought this would be pretty similar. So, I've got both A10 and CA installed ... and I've no idea what I'm doing! I printed off the CA ebook, most of it makes sense as to fog of war, choosing roles and the battlefield commanders section in mission editing.. HOWEVER, where the hell do I start? I realise this is beta etc, and part of the reason I bought the game was to see it develop - however being a bit wet with the A10 I start the CA campaign login and suddenly I'm in an A10 cockpit? So I'd like to ask, surely I'm doing it wrong or atleast I can turn off the flying part? I can't find much of a tutorial of steps to get into and currently MP is saying I have an invalid key ... *sigh* any help? :) cheers.
